Content creator username

Hi everyone I'm needing some advice on my username for Instagram. When I first started making content my account had my first and last name and I didn't think to change it at the time. But I have been seeing videos about user name having something more to do with what content you are creating. If I change my name will brands still be able to find me? What are the cons of changing my username? Any help and advice would be much appreciated 😊🙏❤️
