I'm not an expert so I went to our trusty google, it says,
"A sunscreen with SPF 30 will protect you from around 96.7% of UVB rays, whereas an SPF of 50 means protection from about 98% of UVB rays. Anything beyond SPF 50 makes very little difference in terms of risk of sun damage, and no sunscreens offer 100% protection from UVB rays."
I agree that we should re apply our sunscreens through out the day because it washes out and breaks down, due to sweat, pollution etc.
Hope this helps :)

Basically how you calculate that is:
SPF 30 -> 100:30= 3,33...
So -> 100-3,33= 96,67% of UVB protection
SPF 50 -> 100:500= 2
So -> 100-2= 98% of UVB protection
Remember that this protection only lasts for a few hours and we need to reapply sunscreen to make it last longer.
The best sun protection you can have is staying out of the sun, clothes, wear a hat or big ass sunglasses π
Hope this helps βΊοΈ

what i've known is spf 50 is more strong to protect your skin (if you have lighter skin it was the best for you) but spf 30 can protect you from the sun too! but it only give a proper protect to a person that has a darker skin π₯°

I think it means that spf 30 can withstand the uv rays when you are under the sun for 30 mins and 50 mins for spf 50. That's why you should reapply sunscreen.
