It's normal to see some foundation residue on your cotton pad, especially if you're wearing long-lasting makeup. Double cleansing is great, but it's important to be gentle to avoid over-cleansing. Using your cleanser a second time can help, just make sure to keep your skin's needs in mind.

It might be that you’re not using enough product for cleansing for long enough. I use my oil based cleanser for 1-2 minutes and the water based cleanser for 1 minute. I also use circular motions throughout my face

I agree. My oil bottles say cleanse 1-2 minutes and that is a lot longer than you think.

It did happened to me that's why I first use a makeup wipe or cotton pad and micellar water then I wait some minutes and do double cleanse

I don’t usually see any foundation residue after I double cleanse.
It’s important to use enough product as well but also be careful not to over cleanse
I use the skin 1004 cleansing oil

I use an oil cleanser and honestly didn’t even start using a second gel cleanser until recently, never had any residue even with just the oil cleanser! If oil cleansers don’t work well for you though, nothing wrong with just using micellar water on a cotton pad to remove any residue
