For those of you using retinol, do you apply it on your neck too? 

I apply this gentle serum on my neck twice weekly. And I wonder if it's fine to apply retinol on the neck?

For the past 6 weeks, Sunday has been my reset day! I return to a basic skincare. 

☀️ AM: water cleanse, followed by products in picture. 
🌛 PM: oil cleanse, followed by products in picture. 

After having a break, I've noticed my skin is in a better condition to take on products during the week. 

Do you have a reset day in your routine? Do you give your skin a break from actives, etc?

Sugary foods (like candy, but also other sweets) might lead to skin aging.

❌ 2. White Bread
Foods like white bread, white rice, and potatoes cause insulin level to spike. An insulin spike inevitably leads to an insulin crash—leaving your skin and the rest of you looking and feeling drained.

❌ 3. Milk
Some experts believe that the hormones in milk cause inflammation, which in turn clogs your pores.

Claims: 
A soothing cream that contains three actual lipid components of the epidermis layer to help repair the skin barrier.

🤎 My observations: 
It has a slight fragrance, almost herbal-like. The cream has the consistency of a gel-cream.  It is lightweight & easy to apply. 

 🤎 My experience: 
This cream is light, non-greasy, non-sticky and is quickly absorbed by the skin. It felt soothing on my skin and left my face feeling nourished and hydrated.

 🤎 Repurchase: 
Highly likely.

💙 Area of product improvement: I wish the product was in a dark bottle to help protect the vitamin C serum from oxidation and changing colour.

Review: Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

💙 Claims: A hypoallergenic vitamin serum that was formulated with stabilized pure Vitamin C to treat dead skin cells, dull skin tone and enlarged pores. 

💙 My observations: The serum is clear and colourless with a water-y serum texture. Feels a little warm and "metallic". 

💙 My experiences: 
This serum contains a 🍋 Vitamin C concentration of 5% Ascorbic Acid. This low percentage makes it gentle enough for all skin types, especially for people who have sensitive skin, like me! It's also a good start for newbies who'd like to introduce a Vitamin C serum to their routine & that's why I chose it. 

I use 2 drops for my face & 1 for my neck. Due to it's 💧water-y texture, I've to apply it quickly, else it'll drip down my fingers. The serum feels a little sticky so I wait for 2 minutes before I apply moisturizer. 

I noticed PIH marks fading away sooner than usual. Within 3-4 weeks, my skin looks brighter & radiant. 🌟

Perhaps at a concentration of 5% Ascorbic Acid, it's too mild to lighten the few sunspots I've got. I'll move on to a Vitamin C serum of a slightly higher concentration when I'm done with this bottle.

⏳For the first few weeks, I left the serum in it's box. One day, I saw that the serum had turned a light yellow. I got worried & began searching online if the serum's efficacy was affected. I learnt that if the serum is a light yellow, it's still safe to use. Phew.. what a relief! However to be on the safe side, I started placing the serum in it's box & in the refrigerator. The colour has not changed further, thankfully!

Nothing for me. It's a hydrating, soothing moisturizer.

Claims: 
A lightweight moisturizer formulated with dual crystal glacial water capsule, guaiazulene and madecassoside that provides a burst of hydration and soothes skin.

💠 My observations: 
This moisturizer comes in a jar with 50 ml of clear blue gel with gelatinous bits. I like that it comes with a small spatula. It has a slight fragrance which reminds me of freshly dried laundry.

💠 My experience: 
 Although it's called a cream, this moisturizer has more of a gel-like texture. The gelatinous bits dissolve & mix easily with the rest of the gel-like moisturizer.  I find that the moisturizer leaves my face almost satin-like. Both guaiazulene and madecassoside have anti-inflammatory properties which helped soothe a few zits that I had.

💠 Repurchase: 
Most definitely.

Nil, I had a good experience with this Ampoule.

Claims: to strengthen skin's moisture barrier & brighten skin tone. 

Features patented ingredient MadeWhite™, which consists of Madagascan centella asiatica extract on top of niacinamide for skin-soothing and brightening benefits. Other ⭐ star ingredients are Tranexamic Acid, (which brightens dark spots & hyperpigmentation) Panthenol (for wound healing) & Arginine (that is known for its anti-aging effects).

💙 My observations: 
🌪️ slight viscous texture
🌪️ fast absorption
🌪️ clear serum with tiny, white brightening beads that dissolve upon application

💙 My experiences:
I decided to take a cautious approach as I'd read of some Pickies not having a good experience with this Ampoule. I apply a few drops, after toner, to damp skin on alternate 🌄  mornings.  

I had a few zits which calmed down faster than usual & they didn't leave PIH marks! I noticed a subtle, brightening effect within a month of using the Ampoule. This bottle of 100ml will last me a looong ⏳ time!

There's nothing I dislike about this gem 💎

Claims: 
A lightweight, oil-based cleanser that gently melts away makeup, dirt, oils and sunscreen without stinging the eye area.

💛 My observations: 
It has a light fragrance, probably from the bergamot oil. The cleansing oil is lightweight & spreads easily.

 💛 My experience: 
Daily, I apply eyeliner & at least 2 coats of mascara. So, I'm on the lookout for an effective but gentle cleansing oil to remove my eye makeup. I hit the jackpot with this cleansing oil! With one pump, I can easily massage my face & neck as well as thoroughly remove my eye makeup. I leave the oil on my eye area for about 10 seconds before I gently massage to remove the eye makeup. The oil doesn't sting my eyes & it's easy to wash off when I follow up with my second cleanser. 

 💛 Repurchase: 
Most definitely.
