I was recently asked a question about whether you should apply sunscreen to your eyelids and if it was safe to do so. 

My answer was that the eye region is very sensitive but most sunscreens should theoretically be safe enough to apply around the eye lids, unless otherwise stated I would steer clear of scented sunscreens as this could sting your eyes; and yes we should protect our eyelids too! ☺️

What’s your take on this and which sunscreen would you recommend for sensitive eyes/contact lense wearers?

I’m not sure if my combination skin was dryer than usual due to the cold weather, but on initial application I did find it a little tingly. However, this discomfort didn’t last too long and my skin has since gotten used to the formula which is great; so it may take some easing in to if your skin is new to Himalayan salt. 

I can’t say that I’ve noticed too much difference to the size of my pores since using this product but my skin definitely feels cleaner, tighter and brighter. For this reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I still favour the Hyalu-Cica range from this brand.

This beautiful pearlised shimmery cleansing foam lathers up very well, leaving your skin feeling so much more clearer. 

I love how intensely rich and creamy it feels against your skin, especially when you start adding warm water to it, it just melts away and becomes even more milky soft and smooth; it’s so satisfying! 

I also love how it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry after use either, unlike some other cleansers I’ve tried in the past. 

Presented in a tall pretty pink tube that is generously filled, this foam cleanser has a mild herbal scent to it; which does disappear once you put it in your face.

This product is best suited for those with oily skin and may cause discomfort if you have extremely dry-sensitive skin. 

Skin1004 is definitely one of my favourite brands!

Although very minimal, I definitely noticed there was some improvement to my skin after use but it hasn’t completely eliminated all my spots as I still have a couple on my cheeks that haven’t disappeared yet.

The texture is really nice and smooth, I love how the clear gel turns into a lavish foam when mixed with water.

It comes in a generous size bottle with pump applicator which makes it really easy to dispense even with wet hands.

How to use: Use in the morning and night, always apply moisturiser and sunscreen after use in the morning.

Verdict:

This must have mist serum is absolutely gorgeous! It smells amazing and literally feels as light as air, not sticky at all. 

An incredibly fine mist, that infiltrate your skin without feeling greasy. 

Just a couple of spritz and you’re transported into a field of 🍋 luscious lemon trees and mandarin 🍊 orchards. I just love the smell and it feels really refreshing and soothing. It’s also gentle and kind to sensitive skin. I have a feeling I’ll be onto my second bottle in no time. 
Can be used any time of the day to top up on hydration.

How to use:
Shake well, close your eyes and spray directly on your face from a distance.

A little goes a long way, putting on too much at once can potentially clog your pores and be quite heavy and sticky, a small amount is adequate to cover your whole face comfortably.

I really enjoyed using this moisturising balm, the texture is rich and creamy. It’s ideal for those with very dry and sensitive skin. I love that it does not irritate my skin because it is fragrance free and incredibly soothing. It’s as it claims, intensely hydrating and moisturising. A product that’s worth repurchasing, especially around winter time when your skin really dries out from the cold winter air.
