It takes time for acne to stop since he is going through puberty. I think you’re going to the right direction already.
If you could get Differin gel, he can use it at night to treat his acne. Differin is a brand name for adapalene, a type of retinoid or vit A which is great against acne.

I will have to pick some up. I have The Ordinary's retinol does that help with acne? I thought retinol was mostly for lines & wrinkles. Man I have a lot to learn 🤦♀️
