To be fair I only recently heard of horse oil as a skincare ingredien and that by far is the weirdest. I'm not sure what the companies behind the horse oil skincare had to do with the horse to incorporate it as an ingredient into the product.

And I would have thought that capsaicin inside the pepper would irritate skin. I'd like to hear the reasoning of using it as a an ingredient in a soothing lip balm in the first place. 🤔

I've not heard of horse oil before. I just looked it up. 

I am fairly familiar with horse oil as it is always a souvenir I got from friends and family members who visited Japan. It's very common in Japan skincare or haircare brand, since horse oil can be incorporated in many types of products. The ingredient is extracted from horse fat, as horses are raises in Japan farm for meat, while horse oil is extracted during the process.

I guess it would depend on the type of red pepper as to the irritation level... but I am thinking in particular about a black pepper lip oil I was gifted. No way I would want that on my lips.

I use an essence from TIMY that is sometimes advertised as having dwenjjang (a non-spicy fermented bean paste) derivatives in it and there’s products with natto derivatives (another fermented bean condiment.) Gochujang (like in the lip product in the OP) is also a fermented bean paste with the addition of hot peppers so maybe the idea is you get a benefit from the fermentation plus a lip plumping benefit  from the capsicum in the hot peppers? 🤷🏻‍♀️I have gochujang and dwenjjang in the fridge to put IN my face but certainly not ON it😅

I’ve used the Bee Venom many years ago and loved the brand. I haven’t yet tried snail mucin yet. 

you have to try the mucin🥰 its not just loved by people with dry skin but truly beloved by so many😊💕 great ingredient. I'm sure you've heard of the Cosrx Snail Mucin right 

so these aren't even the weirdest I've seen.....I've seen pop able like peptide things and they were PLACENTA!!!!! LIKE WHO'S PLACENTA DID YOU TAKE FOR THIS?!?! IS THAT WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL PLACENTAS AFTER BABIES ARE BORN?!?! I MEAN I KNOW SOME MOMS EAT THEIRS OR BLEND IT IN A SMOOTHIE BUT WHERE DO THE OTHER PLACENTAS GO?!?!?

Some of them are used to make amniotic fluid for stem cell, it saved many people lives. You can look it up on youtube. Health insurance doesn’t like them though an you know why, cuz it works. And yes it comes from human babies. There are placenta banks in few countries that you can rent (like you rent a safe deposit box)to keep your newborn placenta fresh till your child needs it, to make your own stem cells from your own placenta. Pretty cool. 

This is why I read comment threads! Sure you get 50/50 “works for me/doesn’t” but honestly I show up hoping for plencenta smoothies comments🤣💕
