So my boyfriend has been on the skincare journey with me lately and he has oily and acne prone skin. He also burns extremely fast in the sun(he is scandanavian).

He shaves like 1-2 times a week and we’re currently trying to figure out what to use before and after shaving his face. Some people use tea tree oil - please don’t 🤭

Would you guys please give suggestions and what you use?

A question from my boyfriend - What is the best thing to put on your face after shaving?

There are so many articles online saying you can or you can’t use niacinamide with vitamin c. The toner has niacinimide in it amoungst many other ingredients so can anyone please help me figure out if I can use these products together?

Can I use these two products in my morning routine?

I once heard someone say that you shouldn’t cleanse your face in the shower and I didn’t question it but I definitely stopped doing it.

Is there any truth to this?

Stupid question I know but I feel like I’m doing something wrong when having a braai(this is what we call a barbecue in South Africa). 

Honestly though, I have the fireplace on every day at home. Is it bad for my skin? Should I wear spf? Should I spray heat protectants in my hair before sitting by the fire??? Tell me please 😭

Should I use sunscreen and wear heat protectant for my hair when at a bonfire/fireplace?

I currently use these 2 moisturizers(also tagged):

• Purito Centella Unsented Recovery Cream
• Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream

I’m not sure what moisturizer is best to use after I apply my retinol(I usually wait 30mins-1hr to apply moisturizer)

By the way I’m using The Ordinary Retinol 0,5% in Squalane at the moment - its just being used as a preventative and to hopefully get rid of some of my fine lines.

Which moisturizer would be best for after applying my retinol?

I experienced very little burning when applying this for the first few times and my skin got used to it resulting in no burning after about 4-5 uses. My fiancé however with very oily&#47;sensitive skin tried it once and it stung his face so bad that he looked like a red tomato and started to itch. I stopped using it immediately too because it kinda freaked me out haha. Maybe its the fragrace? However I usually do really well with things containing fragrance.

The product was okay and did hydrate my skin a bit but thats about it.

It smells like citrus which scares me a bit as i prefer non-scented products or products with a very very subtle frangrance, certainly not citrus!

This product is OKAY however i did not experience any significant change in my skin besides it being a bit dried out more than usual.

Only issue is that its a bit sticky so definetly not a late night mask. I usually do it late afternoon&#47;evening after I wash my hair and when my fiancé is not home as he likes kissing me on the cheeks all day haha 😅

The Benton Fermentation Mask really does make me skin look and feel so good. It gives a glowy look to my skin and you can actively feel how it firms the skin barrier!
