The Potions Deep Hydration Trio is made up of three products: a Peptide Serum, a Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and Jojoba Oil. I was immediately drawn to the packaging of these items because of their clean, easy-to-read, black and white labels and high-quality glass vials. Each bottle is 0.67 fl oz, or 20 ml. The three vials are packaged together in a clean, modern-looking box that held the items securely in shipping. Below are my experiences and reviews of these three products:

THE POTIONS Peptide - I use peptide serums regularly so I was excited to incorporate a new peptide serum into my routine because of the many benefits that peptides provide -- making skin firmer, stronger, and smoother. Keratin and elastin are made of peptides, which makes a peptide serum like this great for anti-aging, as keratin and elastin are both critical for skin health. This product has a consistency slightly thicker than water and is unscented and soaks into my skin easily and without irritation. It is clear and pale yellow in color. I appreciate that there is no fragrance with this product, as fragrances can sometimes trigger my rosacea and sensitive skin, and this product did not cause any irritation. After applying, my face felt smooth and the product did not leave a sticky residue. The effects of peptide serums are not immediate and I have only been using this product for a short time, so I will continue to use this product. At this time I am enjoying the application of this serum.

THE POTIONS Hyaluronic Acid - I have been using and loving hyaluronic acid in my skincare routine for a long time, so I am excited to try a new hyaluronic acid! Hyaluronic acid is a superstar ingredient that I use daily. It helps skin retain its moisture so I apply this serum to a wet face and follow up with a moisturizer at the end of my skincare routine. The effects are immediate with this product and I can see that my skin looks plumper and the wrinkles on my forehead are slightly less prominent after using. My makeup also applies better after I use this serum in combination with a moisturizer. This product is unscented and has the consistency of a just slightly thicker than water. It is clear and soaks into my skin easily. Some serums have a tackiness once they are applied, but I did not have that experience with this product. I did not experience any irritation during or after application. 

THE POTIONS Jojoba Oil - Although I have tried other face oils in my skincare routine, this is my first time using Jojoba Oil. Upon research, I learn that they are many benefits of jojoba oil, such as gentle, soothing properties and deep moisturization. It is also hypoallergenic and helps sooth sunburns. Jojoba Oil is noncomogenic, which means that it will not clog your pores. This is important in a face oil, and I appreciate that this product will not cause acne. The product consistency is that of a thin oil, almost waterlike. The oil is clear and light yellow in color and there is no fragrance. The oil applies smoothly and easily to the skin and does not leave a greasy residue. After using it, my skin felt moisturized and protected.

Overall, I would recommend all three products. I have rosacea and sensitive skin and none of these items caused irritation to my skin. The combination of using all three products in unison left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth.

I really enjoyed trying these three products from The Potions @thepotions_official and I want to thank their brand and Picky so much for the opportunity to provide an honest review and experience of their skincare items.

I once had someone recommend to me that I should use the same products I use on my face on my neck and hands as well because the skin on these areas show signs of aging faster than other parts of the body. Ever since, I use many of my face products on my neck and hands as well to prevent signs of aging there as well. Does anyone else do this with their skincare products? I do have some exceptions. For example, I do not use prescription retinol cream on my hands, just my face. 

What do you think of this suggestion? Would you follow that advice or do you use different products for your neck and hands?

I was recently gifted the Hydate Me. Micro Tension Cream from Go Picky and the k-beauty company make p:rem to try and, as a recent k-beauty enthusiast, I'm always excited to try new products, especially from brands well-known on popular k-beauty websites, such as YesStyle. This product is also very popular on Amazon with over 400 reviews. It can be purchased from either site for $29.99. 

The product I received was 65 ml, or 2.19 fl oz. Although the make p:rem website is in Korean, from the information I received from Picky, this product is advertised as mineral oil-free, fragrance-free, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and allergen-safe. Its main ingredients are advertised as raspberry extract, hyaluronic acid, sacchride isomerate, and french herb complex. I am most familiar with the benefits of hyaluronic acid (helps your skin retain moisture) and sacchride isomerate, a naturally derived carbohydrate complex that acts as a water binding agent, also known as a humectant. Some of the top extracts in the ingredients list include not only raspberry extract, but also olive fruit oil, fennel leaf exract, thyme extract, lavender oil, rosemary leaf oil, and tea tree oil, among others.

So what is the purpose of make p:rem Hyrdate Me. Micro Tension Cream? This is an intense moisturizer to replenish and hydrate dry skin. I have rosacea and sensitive skin so before using, I test a small amount of the product on my arm. My skin is moisturized and does NOT have any negative reactions to the product. When using, I apply a pea-sized amount and massage it into my skin. The micro tension cream is white and smooth in texture. It is has the consistency of a cream and is described as such, thicker than a lotion but easily absorbed and easy to spread. A small amount goes a long way and a pea-size is really all that is needed to cover a large surface. Now although the product was advertised by Picky as fragrance-free, I believe this may be an error, as the product does contain fragrance (parfum) as the last ingredient. If you prefer unfragranced skincare or have sensitive skin, I would recommend first testing the product on your arm, and then avoiding the eye, lip, and nose area when applying the cream to the face. When on my arm, the fragrance is not strong enough for me to smell without lifting my arm to my face, however the scent is noticeable when on the face. Although the product is scented, it is a pleasant scent, so for those who do not mind fragrance in their skincare will likely enjoy the parfum.

After application, the skin is left smooth and feels hydrated to the touch. You can feel that a cream has been applied, but the skin is not oily or tacky and does not leave a residue behind. Since this product has a heavier consistency, I think it would be best it in a nighttime routine routine.

Although I've only been using this product for a short time, I am happy with its application and I feel that the product itself is very hydrating. I am sensitive to fragrance, but for those who are not, I think this would be a great k-beauty product to add to their routine.

Review of make p:rem Hydrate me. Micro Tension Cream

For those who didn't know, the popular k-beauty brand SKIN1004 just opened their US website in January 2022 of this year. K-beauty lovers rejoice! This makes purchasing from SKIN1004 a lot easier and receiving your skincare a lot faster! Their new US website is https://skin1004.com/

The item I'm reviewing today is the SKIN1004 Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule. From some research into the production upon receiving it, I've learned that in the world of k-beauty, ampoules are generally applied before your serums and they're usually a little stronger than most serums and meant to be used as needed, not daily, because of their strength. The SKIN1004 Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule is meant to brighten and sooth skin. I can appreciate this as someone with sensitive, fair skin and hyperpigmentation from previous acne blemishes and I love another brightening option besides Vitamin C.

The first thing you'll notice about this ampoule is the beautiful, secure packaging and the small white granules of Madecassoside inside the clear ampoule. These granules of Madecassoside are encapsulated to enhance their stability as an ingredient. SKIN1004 advertises its Madecassoside as being obtained from Madagascar Centella Asiastica, hence its namesake! :) The Centella Asisatica Extract is meant to replenish skin hydration. Madecassoside has similar brightening effects to what you would find in Vitamin C serums, however there are claims that Madecassoside is better for sensitive skin.  As someone with highly sensitive skin and rosacea, my personal experience has found this to be true, as the granules, which you will see dancing in the bottle, break down easily upon application and the ampoule is easily absorbed into the skin without any of the irritation or stinging I sometimes experience when using serums or ampoules. While using, I made the following observations:

Packaging - Very secure cardboard packaging with a high quality glass bottle and dropper. 

Smell - There is no noticeable fragrance.
Consistency - Watery and slightly gel-like but not slippery.

Absorbption - The granules break down effortlessly and without abrasion and the product absorbs easily.

Although I have not been using this product long enough to see a strong brightening effect, I'm excited to continue using this brand with my other SKIN1004 skincare products. If you are interesting in trying this product, k-beauty, or an alternative to Vitamin C, this ampoule can be bought in a very generous 100 ML size at the SKIN1004 website, https://skin1004.com/ for $24.99 USD, through Amazon, or through various popular k-beauty websites such as Stylevana.com and YesStyle.com.

The cost of this product is very high at $280 USD for 50 ml. Although the product was moisturizing, there are a lot of substitute products that cost much less that would provide similar results.

This product was not heavily fragranced, but rather lightly fragranced. The fragrance was pleasant. The consistency was smooth and not too thick. Absorbtion into the skin was good. This product did not cause any allergic reactions or irritation.

This product is fragrance free and very gentle on my sensitive skin with rosacea. It produces a good lather and is gentle around my eyes. It is also very effective at removing makeup.
