Hello! I have never used retinol before but want to start now. What are some good retinol option for beginners with a low percentage?

I think of the texture as honey being formulated as mask with lots of other good things. It is a silky, creamy, caramel like (but less sticky and lighter) texture that glides on easily on the skin. After washing it off it leaves almost like a thin oily coating on the which I find very hydrating for my skin type.

The sensorial experience is wonderful, it is like slathering honey on your face. The directions say it can be left from 10 mins up to an hour. Whenever my skin feels dry, dehydrated or irritated, this mask takes care of all of that for me. I leave it on for more than an hour at times as it feels like a nice skin healing, pampering session for me. After washing the mask my skin is so soft, moisturised and nourished that I don’t even feel the need to carry on with the rest of my routine. The glow it leaves looks super healthy.
🍯𝓦𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭 𝓘 𝓻𝓮𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓭 ?
I 100% recommend it to anyone with dry skin. It will save your skin all winter and on. It can be very soothing and nourishing for oily skin too. I would suggest to reconsider to those with acne-prone skin as the can be too overwhelming (might cause breakout) for them. The glass packaging can be recycled and reused in many ways. The price can be a bit high but you get many washes from it which I think makes it worth it. I would totally repurchase it.

🌵 Ｔｅｘｔｕｒｅ: A lightweight fluid. 

🥄 Ａｐｐｌｉｃａｔｉｏｎ: the fluid absorbs as soon as you swipe it on the skin. It leaves no white at all. It is quite lightweight and can be reapplied without feeling heavy on the skin. It leaves a DEWY finish ( which I like personally).

🧚🏻‍♀️ Ｍｙ ｏｐｉｎｉｏｎ: I was surprised after I opened the packaging as I wasn’t expecting for the bottle to be this small 😂 ( quite cute though). It’s a liquid, hence it makes sense that a small bottle is enough to hold the product. Also, because of the fluid texture it absorbs quickly. Unlike other sunscreen, there’s no of rubbing it in (one swipe ➡️ and it’s gone). Reapplication is easy. I was in confusion about the amount I should be applying since it’s fluidy&#47;runny. I just followed the 3 fingers rule.

𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨:

It is a thick tinted cream. It takes a while and a lot of rubbing to spread the product evenly. After about 5 mins when its completely settled on the skin I would say it leaves a matte finish yet feels tacky to me.
𝙈𝙮 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚:
The first time I applied the sunscreen I noticed and it looks greyish on the areas where I have hyperpigmentation and it was specially peeling along the hairline and skin around my eyebrows and nose. An application tip for this sunscreen would be
Tip: when applied after a really hydrating and moisturised base it’s easy to spread and the white cast is significantly reduced.
Reapplication was most annoying part, when its dry on the skin it peels and applying layers becomes even harder, and the white cast becomes more visible with every layer. It claims that it works well under makeup, however I have not worn it under makeup, hence cannot comment about that.
1 pro of this sunscreen is that since it’s a mineral sunscreen, I don’t reapply as urgently like I would do with a chemical one.
𝙒𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙄 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙙?
I think the white cast will not be that noticeable on lighter skin tones, if you have oily skin it won’t dry your skin as much it did on my dry skin, so if I really had to recommend this I would recommend it to oilier skin types.
