I used to have acne but it cleared up with prescribed creams. I am now left with marks where the spots used to be. I'm new to skincare so I don't know much about ingredients and products. Please recommend skincare that will help with my dark marks. Preferably, products that are available in the uk and that are under £10. Thank you

I received the Intensive EGF peptide emulsion free from Picky and Coxir in exchange for my honest review.

The packaging is simple and elegant in the colours black, white and bronze. The serum is in a plastic bottle with a handy black pump.The pump allows me to control how much product I use, which is great. I like that it has a secure clear lid which fits perfectly over the pump to keep the product clean and air tight. The bottle contains 100ml of product. The packaging and product is good quality. 

The Intensive serum is formulated with EGF, peptide and collagen for brightening and firming. It is an anti-wrinkle and a vitalize care serum. 

It can be used daily in the morning or evening. The directions are to gently massage onto face in circular motions until absorbed. 

The serum has no scent. I found the serum glides over my skin effortlessly. It is a light weight milky white serum. It absorbs quickly and leaves a smooth satin finish on the skin. On my skin it feels like velvet. My skin is soft, nourished and hydrated during use. This is easy to use and does not leave a tacky finish which I love. This didn't cause me any irritation or breakout to my skin. I enjoy using this product. 

I haven't noticed any changes to wrinkles after one week of use however I'm happy that my skin is more supple and I will continue using this daily. I would repurchase this product.

I have to apply the product carefully because it streaks. My hands feel sticky and uncomfortable after using this. Unlike other serums, I wash my hands after use. 


I received the Mixsoon Bean Essence free from Picky and Mixsoon in exchange for my honest review.

The essence comes in a bottle, with a press pump. The pump is covered by a secure lid which keeps the product air tight. There is 50ml of product in the bottle. The serum is an oily champagne colour through the glass. The bottle is cute and small. It is a handy size to put in my bag, pocket or take on holiday. The box the bottle comes in is white with black lettering, written with soyink . The packaging is very simple. The pump is good quality. No product is left around the opening after each use which  prevents wasting any serum. 

The product claims are, it tackles five concerns with one single product. The essence tackles sebum, removes dead skin cells, blackheads, evens out skin texture and hydrates. This is a minimal beauty brand that is vegan and contains only the essential ingredients for the skin. Ingredients include Soybean Ferment, Pomegranate Ferment, Barley Seed Ferment and Pear Juice Ferment. This trendy essence has won Korea's essence award. Instructions are to pour a few drops of essence into my hand then gently tap over the face and neck. 

The essence has no fragrance. It is an oily sticky formula. It streaks when picking up the serum. I found the best way to apply this is by putting a couple of pumps on to my palm, then gently  rubbing my palms together and finally apply over my face and neck. This glides on effortlessly and quickly absorbs nicely into my skin . It leaves a semi matt natural finish when it dries. My skin looks and feels smooth, hydrated and nourished. It's lightweight on the skin. I need to wait for the product to sink in before applying other products over this.

After a week of using this product daily, I noticed it helped soothe my acne prone skin. It didn't cause any Irritation or breakout. It seems to do, what it claims. I would recommend this product and buy this again. 

I also received a second mixoon bean essence for free. The second one has lettering written in English which I appreciate. The first 50ml bottle lasted me around a couple of months using it daily at night. I found after using this for 2 months my skin is more even, smooth and soft.

At first I felt a stinging sensation which did go away after around 5 minutes. It felt slightly heavy and uncomfortable with the gel patch on, but I quickly got used to it.  Before drying, the serum is sticky on the skin which I didn't like. I spread the excess essence on my skin, before it dried and absorbed into my skin.

I haven't noticed any reduction to dark circles, puffiness or wrinkles after one week of use. I wouldn't re purchase this product. 

I received the Deep Sea marine complex 73 Eye Patch, free from picky and BACIEL in exchange for my honest review.

It comes in a green and white tub and matching box. The packaging encourages me to believe that the product is healthy, fresh and nourishing .Reminds me of Seaweed. Under the screw off lid sits a small clear, plastic, washable spatula. There is a flap to lift off an additional cover. The product has a lovely clean and fresh scent. It looks green and slimy. It contains a generous amount of paired eye patches in the tub.

Ingredients and Claims:
Contains 73% sea water  Collagen,  amino acids, sea algae, sunflower seed oil, kelp, spirulina, and hydrolyzed collagen. Full of soothing ingredients that reduce the look of dark circles, puffiness, wrinkles and protect the skin around the eyes. Dual functions are brightening and anti-wrinkle.The mask gives rich moisturising and nourishment to tired eyes. It contains Ingredients to make under eyes bright and energized. Great for sensitive skin types and suits wrinkle concern. It is Dermatologically test completed. 

Instructions.
After cleansing, apply the patch on the desired facial area, using the enclosed spatula. Remove the patch after 20-30 minutes and gently pat the excess essence on the skin and massage as it absorbs into the skin. 

My experience. 
I first tried this on its own, without any other skincare products. I instantly felt a cooling affect under my eyes.The gel stays nicely on top of my skin. It's a good size patch, that covered all the way down the side of my nose. The eye patches are good quality and shape. It stayed intact and in place during the 30 minute skin care process.

I also tried this over my regular moisturiser and it was much better with no stinging sensation . 

As directed, I removed the patch after around 25 minutes .After removing the product, my skin is hydrated and moisturised. The product sank into my skin within 20 minutes. It Leaves a temporary tacky feel.

I used this with the Acwell Licorice pH balancing cleansing toner. This does not irritate my skin however I have noticed a few white spots after using this on my sensitive combination skin. I took a break from using this after I noticed the product was making my acne worse. I haven't noticed the brightening effect. 


I received the Acwell Licorice pH balancing advance serum free from Picky and Acwell in exchange for my honest review.

The serum is contained in a dark brown plastic bottle with a black pipette dropper lid. The bottle contains a small 10ml of serum. Twist to open and squeeze the rubber bulb to disperse the serum. I love the quality of the pipette because I can control exactly how much I use straight on my face with no mess. 

The Acwell traditional Dermatology brand claims this serum is for sensitive skin and it brightens skin tone. Directions are after toning apply a proper amount and gently spread it all over the face. 

This is the first time I'm trying this brand. The serum has a sweet scent. apply 3 drops at night after cleansing and Toner. The serum is a milky champagne colour which glides over my skin effortlessly. It dries quickly and leaves a beautiful, glowy dewy finish. It is lightweight on my skin. My skin feels nourished, soft and hydrated. It sinks into the skin quickly with no tacky feel. 

After leaving this product on over night during the summer season, I wake up with plump, hydrated skin. I used this with the Acwell Licorice pH balancing cleansing toner. This does not irritate my skin however I have noticed a few white spots after using this on my sensitive combination skin. I took a break from using this after I noticed the product was making my acne worse. I haven't noticed the brightening effect.

Madagascar Centella Hyalu-cica water fit Sun serum. Spf50+ PA++++

I received this product for free from Picky and SKIN1004 in exchange for my honest review. 

It came in an elegant sealed light blue and white box. The box is decorated with the  image of beautiful ocean waves. The box feels like velvet or satin to touch which I find nice. The plastic white tube contains  50g of product.

I like that the opening is a pump. Press the blue pump to release the product. It also has a clear oval shaped lid which sits securely over the pump. The pump mechanism is great. I am able to control how much product I release. I like that I am able to release a small amount at a time. No product remains around the opening so no dried up sunscreen for my next use. 

I found this sun cream is better worn over my regular moisturiser.I prefer it with other products rather than on its own. I cover my whole face, neck and hands. It leaves no white cast and no stinging around the eyes which I love. This is a good daily sun protection face cream. I enjoy putting this product on, as it is lightweight and glides on easily. It does not have a scent. This does not cause a breakout or Irritation on my combination sensitive skin. 
This is my favourite sun cream and I would buy this product again.
