To my friends that have reactions to snail mucin in products (allergy, sensitivity, etc) have you found another ingredient that has similar effects?

I love how the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence made my skin look so glowy, hydrated, and plump but the breakouts it gave me weren’t worth it and I find myself missing the results it gave now.

Aside from Hyaluronic Acid, of course! Which is already a definite staple in my routine :)

Would love to hear everyone’s suggestions!

Snail Mucin Alternatives

For the past 9 months I’ve been using Differin (Adapalene, a retinoid) and I like the results a lot and am looking for an actual retinol since I just turned 26 and they’re stronger. I started using Adapalene to hopefully prepare my sensitive skin beforehand, and I’m looking for recommendations since I’m ready to move up - Especially from those with similar skin to me! Please 🥺

Retinol Recommendations For Dry & Sensitive Skin

It doesn’t apply well. It might be silly, but I think stuff like this.. skin pampering.. kind of products should be a good experience when applying. It’s not as creamy as I’d like, and it doesn’t spread well. It almost looks stiff and grainy. I haven’t seen any difference in my skin!

Though I prefer fragrance-free masks, I think the smell is pleasant and not too overwhelming. This mask also feels really refreshing on the skin, especially when slightly cooled.

Oof she’s expensive. I bought two tubes and ran out so quickly. Despite it feeling nice on this lips, I don’t think it’s very hydrating at all and needs to be re-applied very often.

I love that it’s a different experience than the OG Sleeping Mask. I love tube balms and the packaging for these is adorable. I love the peachy scent, and the texture is lovely. It goves such a beautiful glossy sheen to the lips and is easy to re-apply.

Unfortunately, this has a decent amount of fragrance. At least to me!

It feels so so nice when applied. It has the gel to water texture and it absorbs really well. The packaging is cute and thenpump is always nice. It’s definitely worth a try!

I don’t cleanse in the morning but I started using these to refresh my skin after I wake up to kick start my routine and I’m loving them. so refreshing and obviously more hydrating than just using water! The exfoliating side is super gentle.

Aside from softness and hydration, there’s no other effect of this mask.

Such a nice mask!! Super refreshing and makes my skin so soft and hydrated. There’s tons of extra essence you can use anywhere you like. The fit was okay and the mask didn’t slip or slide around.
