Hello. If you are using this product, consume it immediately because it goes bad even before PAO or the expiration date and I have experienced it TWICE.

Out of all the Isntree products I've used, this was the WORSE and I'm really disappointed. Because it was actually a really good mild exfoliant and a waste of money since it's not cheap.

This product for some reason is prone to microbial growth. I really don't know why, maybe because of the container, maybe there's not enough preservatives, or both. Maybe my storage area is bad, but I have NEVER experienced this with my other toners on a clear bottle. Even after reformulating this product it still happens. 

Just a short story:
The first bottle I bought was the old one w/o the chesnut extract and preservatives. It took a few months before I actually opened it and it was still inside the box.  When I opened it (it was not expired btw), there was a cloudy stuff below, an orange liquid on the top layer and there's a strong plasticky smell. I searched the web if that's normal, until I saw this:

So after reading that, I immediately disposed the first bottle.

Few months later I bought the REFORMULATED version. The one with the chestnut thingy. I immediately used it. The toner looks clear, it still has that plasticky smell, but not as intense as the former. I used it 2-3x a week. After consuming 1/3 of the product, I noticed that it starts developing a  cloudy precipitate (probably a microbial colony) either white or orange and the plasticky smell is becoming stronger. (My camera is not good enough to capture what the precipitate looks like).

If you have seen your Isntree AHA Essence with a cloudy stuff/precipitate and has a strong plastic smell, DISPOSE IT IMMEDIATELY. 

Now that I can no longer use this product, do you have any alternatives?

JUNE 23, 2023 UPDATE

Since someone already made a thread about product recommendations of sunscreen products that don't sting the eyes, I've decided to make a thread about the opposite. I am fully aware that this is going to be subjective to the user, but I think it would also raise awareness to others who are still looking for their holy grail sunscreen. So here's mine:

*All Altruist Sunscreens* 

Despite the sting and the rusty sunscreen stain it left on my clothes, I actually liked Altruist because it's cheap, moisturizing (no need to use moisturizer), and has good filters. My only wish is that they change avobenzone and replace it with a more stable UVA filter, cause it's most likely the culprit that stains my clothes.

*Watsons Dermaction Plus Sunscreen*

Lighter consistency than Altruist but moisturuzing. Unfortunately it stings my eyes.

Since peeling gels are gentle exfoliants that ball up in response to oils on our face, can they be used as a first step in skincare routine and then a facial cleanser right after? Why or why not?

Careful when applying near the eye area cause it stings!

My staple suncreen! Doesn&#39;t have a strong white cast and has great UV filters. It&#39;s also affordable, so win-win!

- First of all, it&#39;s NOT a cleansing oil, it&#39;s a water-based cleanser.
- Product contains sodium laureth sulfate so I do not recommend this to highly senstive skin.
- Can be drying if you don&#39;t put your next skincare product immediately
- Can cause eye irritation (I have a habit of opening my eyes while rinsing so yeah it made my eyes really red)

This product is just a basic mild cleanser.

Before, I applied this product on my face and neck, but my neck gets irritated when I applied it so I only use it on my face.

This product saved my skin when my moisture barrier was damaged. I had reddish, irritated skin with dry patches before I used this product. But now  my skin is smooth, lessened redness  and no more dry patches. I actually used the &quot;Baby&quot; variant but because both the &quot;Adult&quot; and &quot;Baby&quot; version have the same order of ingredients and the Baby variant is still not available in Picky, I made the review here.

The consistency is very oily. Because they are using non-nano versions of zinc oxide and titanium oxide oxide it has a lumpy texture. Since this is an inorganic sunscreen it has a great white cast. You also have to shake the product first before applying it because the oil separates from the product.

I only use this on my neck as the anti-pruritic function of zinc oxide of this product soothes the heat rashes on my neck. So it&#39;s basically an inorganic sunscreen + antipruritic lotion on my neck

- The vinegar scent is too strong
- It has a grainy texture,
- I only use this once or twice a week and the longer I use it, my skin becomes itchier, more irritated, and sensitized
