Dear all

I would love to hear your Recommendations for your go to Vitamin C Serum. I was thinking to switch to a Vitamin C with a pump dispenser because I have the feeling all my Vitamin C Serums are going bad within weeks.

I use the PC at the moment and have had the Ordinary before that. Does anyone have tried the one from Glow Recipe or Drunk Elephant?

Vitamin C Holy Grails?

So I recently saw a video from a derm in which she mentioned she find it essential to have a DNA Repair Product in your routine.
I actually have never heard of this kind of products before. I did a little research and I found out that there are 3 types of those DNA Repair Enzymes and they are able to correct the sundamage that has already happened.
Have you ever heard of this? Or even tried any products?
Do you think this works?

How to layer?

Let me know which Step in your Routine is the most fun, most satisfying or just your favourite step in general. I'm want to knooow 😅🙌🏼

For me it is the first Step, a good Cleansing Balm and the last step when I seal everything in with a Moisturizer 😍😄
I think its because only with these two steps you are "allowed" to rub all over your face and give it a little massage. Haha.

So about 2 Months ago I learned about PIE and that this is the redness I have mainly on my right cheek.
I started to use the PC Azelaic Acid Booster (every morning) and PC 2% BHA Toner (every three days) and saw results rather quickly and within 3 weeks my skin was a dream 😍 So clear and not a sign of redness anymore.

Then I changed my cleanser to the CeraVe Cream-to-Foam (with SA in it) and startet to break out almost immediatley. I used it for like 4 days stopped it again and since then my skin is red again with a few breakouts. This was around 3 Weeks ago and the PIE is not getting better at all even though I'm back to the old routine.

Can the Skin adapt to a Ingredient so fast that it is not working anymore (talking about the AA)? Or could it be purging and my skin is still getting the gunk out?

All I want is the redness to disapear. It makes me feel so selfconcious.

PIE, Purging and AA doesnt work anymore?

• It is hella expensive and I can go through one bottle in around 1.5 months. I'm still on the hunt for a good dupe, but was not successfull yet.
• As alwasy - the fragance part with Glow Recipe Peoducts. For me its ok, but if I could choose I would buy the fragance free version.

🥑 Texture & Fragance: lightweight Serum with a light, fresh sent. The Fragance is not to strong but it is there. 

🥑 Personal Experience:
I absolutley love this Serum ❤ It is everything I'm looking for. High quality Ingredients, Mix of Ceramides, soothing, lightweight, .... I have not found a similar Serum with this properties. 

When I got my first bottle of this Serum I enjoyed it but wasn't over the moon in love. During the last winter I had quite some problems with my Skin Barrier, Dryness and Rosacea flare-ups. I incorporated this Serum again into my routine and OH LORD, it has changed everything for me. It calmed my redness down within 2 days and helped to heal my Skin Barrier over the time of 4 weeks completly. I'm now done with my third bottle and will for sure repurchase.


I do have the feeling that you need to use a lot to have the full protection. So the Product will probably not last very long.

🌼 Garnier Ambre Solair Over Make Up Mist 

🌼 Claims: to be an SPF 50, UV protective and hydrating Mist which can be easily used over make up. 

🌼 Ingredient Highlights: 
• Mix of chemical UV Filters
• Glycerin
• Hyaluronic Acid 

🌼 Price: 75 ml / 2.5 fl. oz retail for approx. $ 8.00 

🌼 Texture & Fragance: Spray with a light, fresh sent 

🌼 Personal Experience:
I do enjoy how easy reapplication of SPF is with this Spray. It has absolutley no white cast and no alcohol - especially with these SPF Sprays this is quite rare. Right after application is leaves like a layer on the skin but after 5 Minutes or so everything has absorbt to the Skin nicely. No tacky, oily or greasy feeling.
The price point is also a big plus.

It is more on the expensive side for a Balm. If you are very oily I think the Texture is too heavy and I personall will not use it during summer because of that.

🌱 Pure'am Authentic Barrier Cream Balm 

🌱 Claims: to be a organic liposome Moisturizer to strengthen and nourish the Skin Barrier

🌱 Texture &Fragance: thick Balm with no Fragance. 

🌱 Personal Experience:
I recieved this Balm in the Picky Box a few Months ago. At first I was sceptic but when I had my Skin Barrier completley destroyed over the winter and my skin was in need for a repair session - I decided to give it a go. 

I personally hate the feeling of this balm if used as a last step in the night time routine as a Moisturizer (what it claims to be)... but I love love love it used before Moisturizer.
So I use a hydrating Serum, this Balm on top of if (only on my cheeks and nose) and finish with a lightweight Moisturizer. I have not have had any Problems with clogged pores because of this Balm. 

After a few days already I noticed that my Skin has calmed a lot and in the End I'm pretty sure this Balm is one of the reasons why I could repair my Skin Barrier within a few weeks completly. 

I still use it on a few nights a week when I feel my Skin is a little sensitiv. I absolutley would rebuy this Balm again for the next Winter

☀️ The application is rather quick and it blends in well. However, the feeling of this Sunscreen on the Skin is terrible. It leaves a tacky feeling and GREASY finish. I love a good dewy look, but this Sunscreen looks greasy. Even if I use Powder afterwards - still tacky and greasy. The tackyness does not go away at all. Even if you wait for an hour or so, it is still uncomftable to wear. I did not even liked it when I used it on my Body.

☀️ Supergoop Play! Everyday Sun Lotion SPF 50 

☀️ Claims: to be a fast-absorbing, non-greasy, water- and sweat-resistant, and broad-spectrum SPF 50 lotion for the face and body. 

☀️ Ingredient Highlights: 
• Mix of chemical UV Filters
• Sunflower Extract
• Rosemary Leaf Extract 

☀️ Price: 75 ml / 2.4 fl. oz retail for approx. $ 22.00 

☀️ Texture & Fragance: Lotion with a clearly perceptible floral sent 

☀️ Personal Experience:
Unfortunately the only good thing I can say about this Sunscreen is, that it leaves absolute no white cast, it comes in quite big sizes with 75, 162 and 532 ml / 2.4, 5.5 and 18.0 oz and it is water and sweat resistant. 

It is on the more pricey side, but absolutey worth it.

This lightweight but super hydrating Moisturizer is my absolute all time favorite Moisturizer and I will always come back to it. ❤

It helped me a lot with my redness and irritation. It works in Winter as well as in Summer and it does not clog my pores but still leaving a nice, moisturizes feeling.
