underrated skincare ingredients

What’s your holy grail serum? I think serums are my favourite skincare step in my routine! I have so many favourites, but my holy grail would have to be the paulas choice calm serum along with the beauty bay calming serum! 🌿

This is such a tough one for me! My favourite brands are versed, first aid beauty & paulas choice. I think I would have to choose first aid beauty though! 💗

I was just wondering if I could wash my face with water and then apply my skincare products, instead of using cleanser? 💗

I do use cleanser, but I don’t tend to use it everyday as my skin is so sensitive and sometimes i feel like it just needs a break. I feel like my skin is often clearer when I don’t cleanse. Does anyone else have this same problem? 🌿

Nothing bad to say at all! Im in the UK though and it is difficult to find over here.

HOLY GRAIL! This product changed my life! I have rosacea type 2 and centella is so soothing. Changed my skin! Helped reduce my redness and noticed a difference within a few days of using. I would highly recommend this for redness and rosacea. Its also very hydrating. I would never be without! 

This serum also has:
- niacinamide 
- ceramide 
- peptide 
- madecassic acid 
which are all amazing for skin soothing, spots, protection etc. 

Niacinamide is too harsh on my skin but i have always tried to incorporate it into my routine as my skin type would really benefit from it. This serum allows me yo use niacinamide in my routine without irritating it, as its a lower concentration and mixed with other soothing properties. 

I used to use 2-3 serums per routine, and now i just use this one on its own. It has so many amazing ingrediants and results, and simplified my routine drastically. 

Amazing for rosacea! Purito is one of my favourite brands - i would also recommend their centella SPF.

🌿 Salicylic acid can be quite drying. 

I didnt find this product drying for my skin, therefore theres nothing bad about this product for me personally.

This is my FAVOURITE cleanser ever! I have rosacea type 2 which means i get lots of red bumps and pimples on my face. This has helped clear up my spots and i have never loved a product more. It makes my skin feel so clean, clear and smooth. I will forever recommend this brand to people. The cleanser foams up so nicely and feels amazing. This is one of my favourite skincare products ever, its amazing!

What makes this cleanser so good?🌿 

🍊 gently exfoiliates away impurities 

🍊 soothes irritation 

🍊 salicylic acid - acts as an anti inflammatory, exfoiliates, unclogs pores, antibacterial properties,  reduces spots, decreases redness and swelling 

🍊 apple fruit extract - antioxidant, anti aging, skin smoothing

🍊 blue tansy - antioxidant &amp; anti inflammatory, reduces redness and inflammation, good for eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea &amp; acne

🍊 glycerin - moisturising

I love this product although i do have a few bad points to mention (which is why i gave it 4&#47;5 stars) 

💸 really expensive product, i couldn’t afford the full size as a student and i had to purchase the mini &#47; travel size which is only 5ml 

there are cheaper azelaic acid products out there, the price dreally put me off 

💸 the salicylic BHA ingrediant in this product could irritate your skin if you used it every day (especially for sensitive skin) 

i use this product 2-3 x a week as a spot treatment because of the strong ingrediants and im worried about irritating my skin, it’s also an expensive product so i really try to make it last

I really love this azelaic acid! I would recommend for rosacea sufferers as its really helped my rosacea! 

I use this as a spot treatment &amp; only apply it on my cheeks (where my rosacea is). It has helped to clear up my spots and visibly reduce my redness! I have very sensitive skin and this hasn’t caused any irritation at all. 

My skin is so much clearer after using this product, definitely a holy grail of mine. It also contains my favourite ingrediant, licorice root extract, which i believe everyone should have in their routine - especially those who suffer with rosacea!

🌿 adenosine - soothing &amp; skin restoring agent

I would recommend this azelaic acid to anyone!!

Absolutely NOTHING bad to say about this product. 
🧴 it is a little pricey

This moisturiser is my absolute favourite skincare product ever. One of my top HOLY GRAILS. I have rosacea and a damaged skin barrier. This helped reduce my breakouts and redness, as well as repair my skin barrier. I cant put into words how amazing this cream is. I will never ever switch to another moisturiser. It makes my skin feel AMAZING and i have never used anything like it.

Its quite drying and made my skin BURN. I broke our in red blotches all over my skin. I let my sister use it, and her entire face swelled up, she had to wash it off immediately. She has very sensitive skin, and i have rosacea. This is the only cleanser that has burnt my skin like this, so i really wouldnt recommend it to anyone with rosacea.

So good for spots and acne! I would recommend for people struggling with this skin condition. This however, didnt work for me with rosacea.
