Camelliaskinensis review for Acid-duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser

🌸This cleanser contains 1% LHA (Lipohydroxy Acid) and low-irritation exfoliant PHA (Polyhydroxy Acid / Gluconolactone) to gently exfoliate and imbue antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin with a non-comedogenic formula. This is particularly recommended for oily, acne-prone skin, but I was curious to see if my dry skin would like it too. 🌸Consistency is a thick gel. I prefer low foam, but you can really foam it up if you lather with your hands before you apply it to your face. It’s fragrance-free, too with none of that weird “fragrance free” scent. Like, I can’t smell anything. 🌸This is about pH 5 on my test strips. Cleaning power is superb, even on makeup. I didn’t even have to exert effort to take off the products I swatched on my arm. Cleans fast and easy with no trace – that includes stubborn lip tint and waterproof mascara. 🌸 I worried this might be drying on my skin but I get a good moisty skinfeel with no dryness, tightnesd or irritation. But in the time that I’ve used this with my PHA toner I noticed that around the third day (Monday) my skin was a little itchy from face to neck and I suspected a precursor to overexfoliation so I quickly doubled up on skin soothers and barrier care. I’ve already dialed back my direct acids because I don’t need them as much with the PHA products I’m using, but I think I may have to alternate even my PHA products because though they are mild individually, packing two or three in a single routine would probably push me over the edge. Will alternate the days using the toner and this cleanser. 🌸 I also want to mention the fab pump: it locks securely with a turn, without having to push down and waste product.
