I’ve been having skin problems because of the cold weather (I live in France). 
My skin is dryer than usual but I still break out (acne prone/dry skin). 
I use this Bellflower product but my skin is still sensitive… 

Any advice ?? 🙏

Winter problems

I received these products for free from Picky and The Potions in exchange for my honest review.

First of all, the design of the products is very effective. It reminded me of The ordinary packaging wise.

However the dropper isn’t very practical, which might be because of the bottles’ size. They are quite small (only 20ml) compared to pretty much every other brand (30 ml or over).

I’ve now been testing the 3 products for about 2 weeks, so I will write about my own experience. 
I have combination skin (dry cheeks and oily + congested T zone). And I’m also prone to breakouts. 

Hyaluronic acid 
It’s a very basic ingredient (but also very effective) that I use after cleansing, on damp skin. 
I like the texture wich isn’t too viscous and also not too watery. It absorbs very quickly and hydrates well. 
It doesn’t have a particular smell. 
I’ve been using hyaluronic acid serums in the past and i quite like this one. However, i don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it because of the dropper and the size. 
I use this in the morning and at night. 

Peptide
I really really like peptides, they work well on my skin. This product is really enjoyable. I like the texture (not too liquidy or viscous) and it absorbs quickly. 
It did show some results (skin more plump and I look less tired). 
I used to use a peptide moisturizer but I prefer this as a serum to be honest. 
I would consider repurchasing this but as I said before the dropper is really a problem for me. 
I use this at night.

Jojoba oil 
Jojoba is one of my favorite oils, even though I don’t really like oils on my face in general. 
This one is actually pretty good because it doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy. 
The texture is nice, it absorbs well. Feels way nicer than other brands.
Doesn’t clog my pores.
Don’t think I will repurchase, as I said I don’t really like oils (and because of the dropper).
I only wear it at night because it’s too much on top of my moisturizer for the day time. 

Overall, it’s been a nice experience, I’ve enjoyed the hyaluronic acid and the peptide ampoule the most even though the jojoba oil wasn’t bad. 
I would consider repurchasing the peptide if the packaging changes but the other two products are very basic in my opinion, they’re sold by other brands with better packaging.

I was just wondering what products you use when it comes to eczema ? I’ve been struggling with it for a few weeks and it never happened to me before so I’m pretty lost when it comes to treating it…

Eczema

Despite looking amazing on paper, I definitely wouldn’t repurchase this product. I was really disappointed by this sunscreen. It looked so promising at first but white cast is a hard no for me, I don’t want to look like Casper the ghost.
I absolutely love this brand, I’ve tried a lot of their products that I really enjoy (the retinol serum, the matcha line) but this one was a real miss for me. Might use it on my body but it stays away from my face.

I received this product for free from Picky and Some by mi in exchange for my honest opinion.

The sunscreen is supposed to be brightening, soothing, help with acne, hyper-pigmentation and the appearance of pores, as well as soothing and anti-aging. 
It’s paraben, silicone and sulfate free.
It contains vitamin A (retinol) and C and looks really promising.
It however contains fragrance and alcohol, that I usually prefer avoiding. 

The texture is vey light and watery. It’s super lightweight. It is however really difficult to absorb. It’s super pasty at first and does leave a slight white cast on my skin (I’m Asian). It also left white spots on my eyebrows (see picture) and pills a bit where I have creases on my skin (around my nose and mouth for example) even when I don’t have moisturizer on underneath. 
It has a subtle scent that doesn’t linger. 

The packaging looks nice. It comes in a plastic bottle but it doesn’t look cheap. I like the orange cap, that gives energy to the bottle.

The inly bad thing i could find is the fact that it comes in a tube. You need to be avle to wash your hands before reapplying your product during the day, so it can be inconvenient to some people. 

This product is supposed to help with irritations. 
It contains very few ingredients and is comedogene free, fragrance free, paraben free, alcohol free, pregnancy free oil free… 

This product is basically a balm. It’s very thick (kind of like vaseline) and can feel very greasy when put on the face. 
I honestly very rarely use this product on my whole face. I use this for my lips. I suffer from very dry lips all year round so it’s really been a life saver! 
I use it all the time (at night but also during the day) and it’s honestly my holy grail when it comes to lip products. 
The product comes in a tube, so i use my finger to apply it. A little goes a long way (as i said it’s very thick so you don’t need to use a lot for it to be effective). I reapply maybe 3 times throughout the day and put a thin coat on before bed. 
It’s the only lip product i actually always go back to and have been purchasing for about 7 years. I always have one at home and constantly repurchase  it. 
I also use this sometimes on my face if i have dry patches during the winter but it doesn’t happen very often. 

This products is available in pharmacies (at least in France) and is very cheap (about 4€). 

I know that a big size is mostly appreciated but in this case it is a bit too big (at least to carry in a small purse). 
Compact sunscreens like this are also tricky cause tou never know how much to apply… 
It is appreciated on the go but the size as mentioned is too much 

I like the packaging : nice summery colour, cute and soft applicator, the mirror… this product contains niacinamide and green tea which works for both oily and sensitive skin. 
I like compact sunscreens in general and this one feels nice on the skin. It spreads easily and quickly.
It doesn’t leave a white cast and doesn’t pill. 

Nothing bad really, but it just feels super basic. It’s nice but not amazing and there are better and cheaper options on the market. 

Like all of the watermelon line, the sxent is really really nice. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy film on the skin. It’s a big bottle as well so bot the most expensive product of the brand. 

I wouldn’t repurchase this product, as it contains 2 ingredients I try to avoid : alcohol and fragrance. It’s too drying for my skin and I don’t like the scent. It’s also too expensive in my opinion

This toner is supposed to be brightening, soothing and help with acne and hyperpigmentation. 
It’s sulfate, silicone and paraben free. It is also non comedogenic.
Based on my skin type which is dry/sensitive this product doesn’t seem to target me, it seems to be made for people on the oilier side but it does contain some soothing ingredients which I like. There is alcohol in it which I’m a bit cautious about because it can be drying and unfortunately there’s fragrance which my skin has a hard time with.
I was pleasantly surprised to see it contained licorice which is not a very common ingredient. 

The texture is slightly viscous but not too runny, so it’s not difficult to apply it with your hands. It glides on the skin and absorbs quickly, leaving a matte aspect that I like. 
The scent is very powdery, very make-up like. It does linger a bit which I’m not a fan of. 

The packaging is very pretty. The glass bottle and the gold details give it a fancy look. It’s a nice product to display on a shelf. I like the greenish color that gives an organic vibe. 
The pump is easy to use and the small cap is discreet and goes nicely with the whole aesthetic of the product.

I feel like this product is perfect for oily skin. It feels super light on the skin and I think it’s a good base for make-up, it could act as a primer in my opinion. It leaves a matte finish which I love. 
However, it does feel drying on my already dry skin and I need a lot of moisturizer to compensate for it. I would enjoy using it to go out, to look matte but on a regular day it Is too drying for me. 

A little goes a very long way, you really need a very small amount of product to cover your whole face (a whole pump is too much). I’ve been using it everyday for a few weeks (in the morning) and I’ve barely used any, which makes up for the fact that this product is on the more expensive side (23€ on Stylevana and 22€ on yesstyle right now).
