You can’t imagine how difficult was for me to find a mineral sunscreen suitable for sensitive skin that was free of bad alcohols, fragrance and essential oils, sinks into the skin nicely, doesn’t leave a white cast and doesn’t cost the earth. And I think that pretty much sums up why I like this Heliocare Mineral Tolerance Fluis so much! 

Broad spectrum protection, 50 SPF, suitable for extremely sensitive skin like mine, and it is also water resistant for 40 minutes. I believe it is also oil free from reading the ingredients but it is not advertised as such so don’t quote me on that.

The texture is very liquid so you have to give it a good shake before applying. I don’t think it leaves a white cast on me but I don’t know how it would work on darker skin tones.

Overall a really good product.

Unfortunately after continuos use I realised this started to cause breakouts as well, I think my skin just doesn’t agree with Niacinamide. I had a damaged skin barrier so that didn’t help. I might try this product again once my skin has healed.

I was looking for a Niacinaminde serum and I ended up using one with a 10% concentration which was breaking me out every time I used it. I thought I was purging but then I learnt that 10% was quite high and it potentially irritates sensitive skin 😓

@Glossier Super Pure serum was recommended by Dr. Iddros on her youtube channel, which she said it had a 5% concentration of Niacinamide so I thought I would give it a go.

For those who don’t know what Niacinamide is (really? Everyone and their mother are talking about it😂), it is a form of vitamin B3 which has been shown to reduce inflammation in moderate acne and it can limit the overproduction of sebum in oily skin types, which in turn leads to a balanced pore size. What’s more, it has even been proven to fade hyperpigmentation. 
Zinc is another great ingredient to fight acne and inflammation, so both combined sound like a very promising product!

The serum applies lovely, same as other glossier serums, it is pretty liquid and absorbs quite quickly. The morning after the first use I did notice that my spots had reduced in size, so I have continued to use it on alternate nights and I think it has definitely helped with my breakouts, skin texture and evening out my skin tone. As per the oil control I can’t really say much, my skin is on the drier side except for around my nose which can get slightly oily, and I don’t think this has done anything to help with the oiliness unfortunately, at least nothing noticeable!

This contains fragrance which sensitized my skin, so I don’t recommend unless your skins is very resilient. Also it is quite expensive.

I have fairly sensitive skin that has broken out on the past with sunscreen, but it never happened with this formula. It feels a little bit heavier than a lotion when I apply it on my skin and I have to work it for a bit until it is fully absorbed. It gives you a dewy finish but not too shiny and my skin feels nice to the touch. 
Normally physical sunscreens leave a white cast but I don’t find this one does, but I am very pale already.
I haven’t tried wearing foundation on top so I can’t comment on that, but I don’t think makeup would glide easily, so I might need to use a primer for that.

I have been loving these Pixi DetoxifEYE patches, they have a really cooling effect which feels lovely on the skin and in my experience it helps depuff the eyes. These come with an applicator to help you get the patch out of the box and also apply it on your face. They are a bit like jelly and sometimes I have to reposition them because I get the edge on the corner of my eye but it doesn’t irritate whatsoever when this happens. I can’t speak for long term effects but short term they do plump the under eye noticeable and make you look more rested. Even my boyfriend loves them! 
I also love that they are fragrance free.

I wish it had worked for my face as a gentle exfoliant, but it just leaves my skin feeling weird and dry, a bit hard to explain

My face didn’t really like this product but I used it on my legs and it has helped with my keratosis pilaris tremendously! Love this
