Propolis is the *it* ingredient on the skincare market and while i’ve never quite gotten on the hype train, i only had positive experiences so far, so i was definitely excited to try this. 🍯This product has a very simple ingredients list and the propolis extract constitutes 83.25% of the formulation. 🍯Despite high propolis percentage, the ampoule is not sticky, which was a nice surprise ☺️ 🍯The product banks on propolis’ antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and is meant to be use on stressed, red skin. As someone with loads of redness to go around, i am happy to report it works well in a routine meant to soothe the skin. It’s not the most soothing product on the market, but introducing it alongside some other calming products makes the whole regimen quite effective. 🍯 I highly appreciate the fact that it doesn’t contain niacinamide, which makes it easy to use whether you can’t use niacinamide or just have enough of it in your routine. It makes it possible to use propolis in other way than for glow and brightening. 🍯 Easy to incorporate into a routine alongside any actives, works well both morning and evening. I quite like this ampoule, but seeing as my skin is in a pretty good place, it fades into the background for now. I think it’s not a world changing product, but it’s a solid position that delivers subtle effects and would work great for sensitized skin that needs a pick-me-up and some gentle treatment. For anyone who needs a break from actives and looks for a product to keep their skin happy and healthy, it could be the one.
