Clear Skin 8% AHA Essence
Isntree Clear Skin 8% AHA Essence
I've had an outstanding experience with the first leave-on exfoliant I tried, then decided looking and trying other brand's exfoliant which leads me to Isntree's AHA Essence because of its superb ingredient list.
IT CONTAINS:
✔4% Glycolic Acid (Speeds up cell turn-over)
✔4% Lactic Acid (Improves skin's natural moisture factor, has effective inflammatory properties)
✔Butylene (Improves skin texture, Softens))
✔Panthenol (Skin hydration)
✔Centella Asiatica Extract (Calms inflammation, has wound healing properties)
EXPERIENCE
I've been using this for over a month now, and I haven't had any irritation and my skin did not react negatively on the new ingredients I introduced to my routine.
It effectively exfoliates the outer layer of my skin
and somehow improves the appearance of my blackheads over my nose.
Although this product says it's for normal to dry skin, and I have an oily one, I felt that my skin did not produce much sebum.
This seems to be an effective anti inflammatory product.
This product helped me with my acne. I use this twice a week,
and sometimes every other night when i'm having a bad breakout.
I always wake up with smoother and hydrated skin if I use this in my PM routine.
TEXTURE & SCENT
It has slightly thick watery texture and is a bit sticky after applying, so what I'm doing is I splurge an ample amount of cream based moisturizer just to have a right viscosity.
The scent has a tinge of subtle sourness (fruity) and just goes away few seconds after applying.
PACKAGING
Love the packaging ! Pump type that seems to be pretty much working, convenient and avoids contamination.
I just hope it comes on a bottle or has smaller container, because with a 100ml content, this will last longer than any of your leave-on exfoliant. Maybe the purpose of having this much content is it can't be easy to contaminate so the product is well preserved.
FINAL THOUGHTS
But if ever I have to compare both product's (Isntree's Clear Skin AHA Essence vs Lactic Acid 10% + HA of The Ordinary) effectivity on my skin, I'd choose the latter.
Maybe because it has a higher percentage of AHA and my skin just tolerated the former.
But despite this, both still exceeded my expectations and delivers results my skin needs.
I'd love to have both on my stash.
The only minimal not so good experience with this one is the sticky texture. But i guess that's just it for AHAs.
