The product is a bit oily, so if you have oily skin it may not work the best for you. I’ve noticed when i use it in the summer, my skin will feel like I have heavy products on it, even after cleansing. 

I’m still pretty new to the world of cleansing balms, but so far, i’m pretty impressed with this one. The balm is a little on the oily side, so seems to work the best for me during the colder months when my skin is a little more on the dry side. 

I’ve used this to remove both regular, everyday makeup and costume makeup. It really breaks down the products on my face easily and most of it rinses off with the balm. I follow up with whatever cleanser I’m using at the time and my skin is always completely clean.

There’s nothing bad about the product itself, but I didn’t like the packaging. Instead of an ampoule, I would’ve preferred it to be in a bottle with dropper.

Receiving this product was a double whammy of new for me. I’ve never tried SUR.MEDIC’s products before, nor have I tried glutathione, so I was really excited when I found out I would be receiving this product.

To properly test it out, I added it into my already existing morning routine, taking it from a three step routine to a four step. The order I used my products is: Cleanser, vitamin c serum, Niacinamide serum, glutathione ampoule, turmeric moisturizer.

It only took using it a few days to start noticing a difference with my skin. I’ve been using this routine for quite awhile and it seemed like adding in the glutathione dialed up the effectiveness of each product up to 11. While I have very little hyperpigmentation, discoloration and redness anymore thanks to the other products I use, the addition of glutathione into my routine took care of the rest. My skin tone is almost even now and for the first time I can say my skin actually does have a glow to it.

As far as any lightening benefits, outside of helping with discoloration, I can’t really say. I’m fairly pale anyway, so if it actually lightened my skin any, I haven’t noticed.

The only con is that slight tight feeling I mentioned, so be careful if you have dry skin naturally or do to environmental changes

To properly test out this product in my morning routine, I swapped out my normal niacinamide and vitamin c serums for the Madagascar Centella Ampoule.

I have no complaints with it. It seems to work just as well as my normal tried and true products using, which is always a great thing to find. So, while I didn't notice any big transformations by adding this in, it completely maintained the effect of my normal products. It does a great job at keeping my skins texture and brightness where I want it. I didn't experience any purging or breakouts, but on colder, dryer days I noticed my skin felt a little tighter after using. This was easily remedied by applying a heavier moisturizer on top and/or a facial oil.

I really like how it combines two of my regular morning products into one product. That saves me a bit of time in the mornings, especially on low spoon days when I don't really have the capacity to do a full routine. I've been having a lot of low to no spoon days lately, so this is definitely appreciated.

If you use it too much, it can be drying on your skin. I noticed this when i tried to use it twice a day. I had a very tight feeling to my skin that only went away after using heavy moisturizers.

I’m usually not a fan of foaming face washes. They can be a little bit drying to my skin, so i have to be careful when i use them. I’ve had this Elemis face wash for awhile since it was sent to me in a BoxyCharm monthly box and finally gave it a try last month when I had a particularly stubborn batch of hormonal ance. I didn’t change anything else in my routine, just the cleanser.

I have to say, it really does help with my breakouts. This is the second month in a row I’ve used it as soon as I started getting pimples. I only use it in the mornings since I tend to sweat at night and have a lot more grim on my face than in the evenings. It gives me a really deep clean and seems to soothe my skin a little. The irritation from the breakout isn’t nearly as noticible after cleansing.

After a few days, even just from using it once a day, my skin was almost cleared up. That’s a pretty amazing change since it normally takes about a week for my skin to clear up after my periods.

This is a regurlar product in my AM routine. Depending on how dry my skin is feeling, i’ll either use this as my last step as a mousturizer or right before my moisturizer on dryer days.

It really surprises me that it’s marketed as a brightening&#47;illuminating product since it has so many skin soothing ingredients. Tumeric has very good anti inflammitory properties, which comes through in this product really well. If i have any irritation, redness or if i’m even dealing with breakouts, this product really helps my skin feel more normal.
