I’ve been dealing with keratosis pilaris my entire adult life and didn’t even know that’s what it was! For years I thought I was using the wrong products or shaving wrong or missing a critical step.. I thought on my arms that I was having a reaction to something maybe. I had so many thoughts and explanations over the years for what I recently learned is actually KP! 

After extensive research and reading reviews, I’ve ordered these two products for cleansing and moisturizing and I’m so excited to see if/how they’ll benefit my body!


EDIT: I will do a formal review for each of the products on their product pages, but I did post a comment with my initial impressions after one use.

KP Body Scrub by FAB

My arms have almost forever had these small red bumps on them, not totally noticeable but enough for me. I have tried so many different body cleansers, washes, exfoliators, and some work to make them less but some make them more pronounced and everywhere. Sometimes I notice on like the back of my legs too. They’re not really pimples, because they never form a whitehead and when I try to “pop” them, it’s mostly just pus. Keep in mind these are very small. But they are raised, and it’s not any specific skincare problem or concern, I’ve had it addressed by my doctor. She advised just switching soap. 🤦🏼‍♀️ 

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Have you found a solution?

Best body wash/cleanser for apparently oily but sensitive skin?

Scant amounts of tea tree oil in certain products are so good for so many reasons! I’ve worked a lot with essential oils over the years for various applications of health and wellness. I’ve never put essential oils directly on my skin anywhere, that’s a big no. But I have put a few drops into various products over the years. I can’t say it’s really done anything, positively or negatively honestly. However now I’d really like to take skin type recommendations seriously and I’m trying to follow it pretty strictly.

Edit to add: I’m not looking to add any myself. I have noticed there are more and more products that already contain tea tree oil and was asking mostly specifically about those. Thanks!

Based on my skin type I was advised to avoid essential oils, does this include tea tree would you think?

I haven’t had a single bad experience yet. Sometimes it doesn’t feel moisturizing enough, but that’s pretty rare for me.

This is the most amazing moisturizer and I’m so glad I’ve found it. I’ve been on a moisturizer journey for two years now, trying to perfect my skincare routine. After trying countless expensive and inexpensive brands, I tried FAB because I already loved their serums and eye creams. This doesn’t peel or feel oily whatsoever! It is perfectly moisturizing and not too light. I use it for day and sometimes night if my skin is wanting something lighter. I thought I had combination skin that can be sensitive and either get red, burn, or have these annoying little red dot breakouts, turns out i have oily&#47;sensitive skin! This doesn’t cause any problems for me. It’s so smooth and smells wonderful in a very light way.

This pils SO BADLY! It’s awful. It doesn’t matter what I try, this just balls up and just looks and feels terrible after like 20 minutes. This happens with most Olay moisturizers. So disappointing and after giving an honest try to so many of the moisturizers, I just cannot recommend this brand for moisturizers. The eye creams are nice. The serums are pretty bad too though.

This product has a really nice texture on the fingers before applying to the face, and a lot of good ingredients, especially for my skin type.

Without the little application brush it’s a little messy to put on with just a finger and definitely needs to be wiped off with a towel or something.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask! Okay so prior to purchasing this I had no idea what a “lip mask” was, but I had read plenty of good reviews that people put it on at night and woke up with lusciously soft lips. Well damn they weren’t wrong! My added opinion- I haven’t tried the flavored ones. This is honestly one of the most amazing things I have ever purchased, ngl. I do put it in every night before bed, pretty thick. BUT I also put it on throughout the day! I basically use this like chapstick&#47;lip balm&#47;lip gloss throughout the day. And I used all of those product words because it gives a beautiful shine to my lips, you’d be silly not to use it as a day product too. They’re healthier than they’ve ever been. I’ve been using this for three months now and I’ve barely made a dent in the jar! So worth it. No buyers remorse whatsoever and this will definitely be my new and one and only lip product pretty much from now on.

I personally didn’t see any immediate results and I’m not sure if I’ve seen much of a difference after months of continuous use- BUT, it definitely hasn’t done anything bad to my skin like irritate it or make it break out or anything, so that’s good.

The value of the product and amount of product for the money is great. The texture is great and it does leave my face feeling clean and moisturized!
