I’m so bad about reapplying sunscreen to my face during the day, what do you guys recommend? Is there any good ones I could find in the US or are they all international brands? And hopefully they’re relatively affordable!!

Hey folks, could there be a specific reason I’ve been getting pimples just on my chin lately? I’d think if it were my skincare products or maskne it would show up everywhere on my face but I’ve been getting annoying pimples just on the chin.

Hello Picky family!

I’ve been using mostly the same ingredients and products for the past two years. My skin at one point was pretty clear while using these ingredients, but now I don’t have the same luck.

My question is, what ingredients were you using before that just didn’t seem to work for your acne anymore, and what did you switch to that seemed to do the trick? I am mostly interested in hearing about a specific ingredient rather than products, but of course feel free to name drop the product with the ingredient if you’d like 😋

For the record I mainly use Cerave SA cleanser in the morning, Cerave foaming cleanser at night and Cerave moisturizer in the tub. I use other products such as sunscreen, prescription tret and clindamycin, and the occasional vit c serum/other random serums in my routines as well. I wonder if I need to quit my attachment to Cerave 😂

Need some advice from former acne sufferers

My first thoughts upon receiving this product is how cute the packaging is! The colorful box and the product packaging is so cute and made me even more excited to try this as I love attractive packaging. The trial box even came with little skincare stickers which are just so adorable.

When using these trial products the first thing I noticed was the differing textures of each product. The calendula bio-cleanser was so light and watery, the bio-essence was also pretty light but with a bit more structure, and the vitamin c was very thick. I also noticed how fragrant these products are, which I know can be a problem for some folks but I personally enjoyed the scents and I don’t believe my skin was being irritated by that feature.

The immediate effects of these products on my skin were for the most part unremarkable or unnoticed. The bio-essence was used on my face before my moisturizer but I did not detect any difference in how my skin felt while using this. The vitamin C had a thick feeling on my face, but this wasn’t even a bad thing for me, and I followed up immediately with my own sunscreen which I would remark is a good thing about this product; that it further enforces my use of sunscreen. The bio-cleanser was used for me as an initial cleansing step, which I then followed with my regular cleanser, and so again the effects of this aren’t exactly noticeable because it doesn’t seem to be meant to be a sole cleanser.

That being said, as I began to use these products, I started noticing more frequent breakouts on my skin. I’m not too sure which specific product may be the culprit, or if any of them were the cause at all, but my skin after the course of a few days has been developing more pimples than I have in the past few months.

The positives of this experience for me were that the products were aesthetically pleasing, they encouraged good skincare behaviors from me such as wearing sunscreen in the morning, the scent of the products were pleasant and brightened my routine in that way, and there were no incredibly irritating ingredients to my skin.

My cons would probably be that these products are too small to really see a true long term effect on my skin, but even the short term effects were somewhat negligible and somewhat invisible. A few days while using these products, my skin started forming a few pimples, and whether or not this is due to the products is unknown but the coincidence is making me a bit hesitant to consider buying these products for extended use.

Overall as fun as it was to receive these products and give them all a daily try, I unfortunately don’t believe I will continue using these specific products. I do appreciate NEOGEN and Picky allowing me to give these products a shot, and I mostly blame my finicky combination skin for the failure of these products to make a true difference for my skin.

My review of the NEOGEN’s Dermalogy Skincare Trial Kit

The packaging makes it seem like there is more product than there actually is, which I know is the style of the container but I still feel a bit disappointed as I’m nearing the end of the moisturizer. It’s still a pretty great choice for me and I’ll definitely buy this again, me and my skin love it so much!

I absolutely love this moisturizer for several reasons. First off, it is so light and still so moisturizing. It goes on like cool silk and just makes my skin feel so nourished. I love the smell, which I know some folks will stay away from because of how fragrances interact with their skin, but I really enjoy the scent. I think it’s perfect to use in the summer if heavier moisturizers feel like too much on the skin, but honestly you could use this any time. You can find this moisturizer in any pharmacy in the US, so it’s not difficult to find here.

My first thoughts upon receiving this product were unfortunately a little negative, as the top of the dropper part of the bottle was broken upon arrival, but thankfully there was no spillage and the dropper still worked just fine so it was just an aesthetic issue.

The bottle itself is bigger than I thought and so I like how much product I get to use because i know it will last me a long time and I should really be able to see results.
The ampoule itself is a liquid-like gel and has a greenish tint and a slight tea tree scent, which I find kind of nice. The smell mostly dissipates once I put it on my skin so it doesn’t matter too much for folks who don’t enjoy that particular smell.
It feels cooling and nice on my face, I use this after cleansing and then put my moisturizer on top, and I’ve had no issue with this layering method.
So far I haven’t truly experienced any irritation or bad side affects, so I will continue using it and monitor my skin’s reaction to it!

I don’t personally find any faults with this product. I wonder if because it is so light that perhaps those with drier skin may not be fully hydrated by using this?? But who knows, this is just conjecture and I think no one could experience any negative effects from this product based solely on the ingredients. If you dislike cute packaging and the feeling of being pampered packed into a jar then this product is not for you 😂

I received this product for free from Picky and make p:rem in exchange for my honest review. First impressions, the jar is so cute and i love how it’s vegan and cruelty free. My package came with a little plastic gua sha tool that I tried to use at first but I quickly abandoned it for just my fingers.
I am starting off using this in replacement to my nighttime moisturizer which is Cerave.
This watery cream is true to its name, it’s so light and usually for my nighttime moisturizer I’m used to a thicker creamier moisturizer so I noticed the difference of how it felt in my skin immediately. It truly goes on so light that I was skeptical that it would provide the same amount of moisturizing that I’m used to, but as I sat with it soaking in, it really felt so nice, and the lightness of the consistency gave my skin a cooling feeling which makes me feel fresh and hydrated. Knowing the ingredients include hyaluronic acid also assure me that my skin is getting a good hydrating.
After letting the cream fully dry, I noticed how my skin felt so soft and moisturized! I always put on tretinoin afterwards as my last step, and no joke… even that felt better on my face! Usually it just feels a bit dry but I deal with it, but not today!
The next morning my skin was still soft, a little oily on my t-zone (unsurprised) but less oily everywhere else! No new breakouts either… so far I’m loving this stuff!

So this part of my review is now being written after using this watery cream every night for two weeks. I love how my skin feels after I put it on and in the morning I don’t feel any extra oiliness or dryness. I have not had any unusual breakouts or skin irritation from using the product. I can honestly say I love this light yet powerful moisturizer and it is my favorite one I’ve tried so far! I’m so lucky to have been chosen for the giveaway to receive this because I may not have been able to try and fall in love with this product otherwise!

My only con is that this product is out of my usual price range. I know that skincare can get more expensive than La Roche Posay but I like to try to keep my skincare products in a certain budget price. The larger bottle does last a long time so I’m happy about that. I probably would buy this one again but I’m also interested in trying other sunscreens to see how they perform as well. Overall I’d recommend this to anyone.

I’ve heard really good things about this brand and was in the market for a new sunscreen that wouldn’t leave a white cast or make my skin feel too greasy. I went for the Melt-In Milk spf 60 because I knew that spf would protect my skin from UV rays and I was hoping the texture of the sunscreen itself would feel nice on my skin. “Melt-in milk” just seemed like it would have a nice silky moisturizing texture.
I do enjoy using this sunscreen more than other chemical sunscreens on my face. The texture coming out of the bottle seems like it would be lumpy and uneven but it really does seem like it “melts” into my skin once I’m applying it. My eyes do not get as irritated as they do with other chemical sunscreens. There’s never any noticeable white cast left on my skin after I finish rubbing in the sunscreen, and often I will use the sunscreen as a combo moisturizer and spf because the texture really moisturizes my skin and cuts down the need for me to apply both.

Nothing bad, this is a wonderful sunscreen product!
