My skin has been looking better and better every day since last year when I started an actual skincare routine and I was thinking to myself. "Which one thing REALLY made a difference?"

I realised that for me, it was going from random drugstore cleansers to a really gentle non-foaming cleanser. My eczema flare ups are becoming so scarce now, and my skin has gotten its glow back! 

So, what about you? What did you do, that completely changed your skincare game?

What's a change you made, that completely transformed your skin?

It seems like yesterday when I was running around some random greek beach, being chased by my mum to wear this terrible thick, whiter than the sun cream. Nope, that thing wasn't for me. 

I intensely remember her screaming in front of every poor German girl who decided to spend a wonderful summer in Greece : "YOU'RE GOING TO GET RED LIKE A LOBSTER, LOOK AT THOSE GIRLS, THEY ARE BURNED ALREADY". 

Oh my, what a terrible thing sunscreen was back then, so uncomfortable.

 "Come on, eat your carrot so you can tan and don't burn anymore". Looking back, I'm pretty sure nobody wanted to sit next to our huge family at the beach since we were always suspiciously isolated by the rest of the people. 

I still don't know if carrots will make me tan, or if applying this thick of a layer protects me more. All I know is that I'm thankful that she tried to teach me how to take care of myself. 

What is one skincare advice someone you love taught you? Was it bs? Does it work? Let's pass some wise people knowledge!

Skincare advice, inspired by mum

Hey wonderful skincare lovers! 

Do you ever get so excited to hear good comments about a product only to remember a moment later that your skin literally hates products that everyone else loves? :( 

Tried The Ordinary's Niacinamide serum, didn't work.
Tried a bunch of CeraVe products, absolutely terrible experience 
Tried the Cosrx low pH cleanser, hydration station no more....
Honestly, whenever somebody talks nicely about a product, I know it isn't going to work. 

So, tell me what's the one product others made you buy, but didn't work for your skin? 

Disclaimer: When I say that I buy things that others recommend, I always take under consideration my skin type and what my skin needs, so I really know some of them don't work hahaha

What's the product everyone loves but doesn't work for you?

Okay, so I just got a job for the summer, and I really need your help. I will be working in the mornings on a Greek island, so you can imagine the unstoppable heat and sweating. :( I am pretty sure we will keep the masks on so that is also a problem (when it comes to skincare, don't get me wrong, I love myself some Covid Protection) 

I have dry skin and all those matte sunscreens that I have tried make me look so bad. 

I am desperately looking for a preferably tinted sunscreen that will make my skin glow but also stay on my skin. Preferably something under 40euros.

Summer workers, I need help!

If you have keratosis pilaris, you know what and how annoying it is. 😔

For those of you lucky people who don't know anything about KP, it's what we call "chicken skin", which is essentially a bunch of keratin build-up, creating dry bumps that are stubborn and almost impossible to remove.  

I went to a dermatologist, and they told me I will have to "live with it", so I did my research and bought some stuff to prove them wrong. (No shade to all dermatologists, just to those who don't even try to help) 🤓

Guess what! I started in January and I hope the photographs say enough. Unfortunately I never had the confidence to take a "before" photo, but the texture has changed completely and if you have KP you will definitely be able to see the difference. 

I'm very excited to share my progress and hopefully help someone else who struggles with it too. 

Anyway, here's what I did: 

 
1. Twice a month I scrub with the Frank Body coffee scrub in the shower, before shaving. 🚿

2.Twice a month, I apply the Lactic Acid 10% by The Ordinary after the shower on dry skin (and of course, not on the same week as the scrub) 🌟

3. I apply a standard basic urea cream from the pharmacy, mine is called Lyofin-Panthenol Urea cream (you can also use the eucerin cream with urea), if I am not doing the Lactic Acid, I apply the cream on damp skin. 💧

4. I apply the Keep it Supple Body Oil by Versed on top to seal everything in.  🧴

5. Don't forget to wear sunscreen on your hands and legs if they go into the light (Lactic acid causes photosensitivity) 🌅

Keratosis Pilaris (KP) routine that actually works!

I wish the had an XL size so I could use it on my body!

I have been waiting to talk about this cream with someone for so long! 

🤩 Great packaging, no finger diping! 
🤩60 ml, enough to last a long time! 

⭐ Beta-Glucan, literally one of the best ingredients I have tried in my life, great for all skin types, but if your skin is dry, you will loooove it! 
⭐ Niacinamide for some extra love to the skin
⭐Feels lightweight, like a cream-gel hybrid, absorbs fast
🤩 Worked great to heal my eczema flare-up

🌅 Great for applying in the morning, your skin will look glowy, and the sunscreen will apply perfectly, it doesn&#39;t dry matte, but it doesnt feel oily either (photo for reference, 15 minutes after applying, no sunscreen) 
🌌 Wonderful for applying at night, especially if you are on the oilier side, it will keep your skin hydrated 

Extra thing I noticed. Beta-Glucan helps the wound healing process so my purging pimples go out in even less time than normal.

It&#39;s not necessarily a bad thing, but even if the serum looks thick, the moment it touches your skin it feels like water so if you apply it with your finger, a good amount of the product gets absorbed by your hands. 

For this reason I am applying it directly on my face, making sure the applicator doesn&#39;t touch my skin.

I can rave about this product for days, and I have a good reason why. 
I have been struggling for a long time to find one serum that can have multiple purposes, so that I don&#39;t spend an entire day doing my routine. 
With snail mucin, Niacinamide, Centella Asiatica and Rice Extract,  this serum covers a bunch of concerns, from anti-ageing all the way to hydration, hyperpigmentation and texture. 

With a size of 50 ml that can last you a good two months, and a fairly reasonable price I don&#39;t see what there&#39;s not to like about it. 

Let&#39;s talk some extra reasons as to why I will be buying again and again. 

- Very lightweight texture
-Absorbs fast, no stickiness
-Doesn&#39;t cause other products to flake
-Packaging is nice and sturdy
-The applicator bends slightly at the bottom so you can pick up even the last drop. 

Let&#39;s talk results: 
It is really hydrating, and makes my skin glow from within, but the most shocking result is that of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This serums feels so light you would think nothing will happen to your skin, until you realise the redness from your spots disappear in four days. Honestly, words are not enough

Nothing bad. NOTHING. Only I&#39;m pretty sure it won&#39;t be comfortable for people with oily skin.

Im so, so so grateful for this product! 
Okay, so here&#39;s some stuff I love about it. 
-Very thick and luxurious feel
-Provides great moisture for super dry skin, after using it at night my skin feels soft and supple
-Doesn&#39;t cause any piling if combined with serums
-Didn&#39;t cause any flare ups of my eczema which is AMAZING
-gives you a loooooovely glow

Until you notice the third ingredient is alcohol!!
So, let&#39;s break it down: 

-Is it cooling and soothing? 
The &quot;cooling&quot; sensation they promise is just a bunch of alcohol evaporating off of the surface of your skin and if you are using retinoids and chemical exfoliators like I do, prepare yourself for a good minute of stinging. 

-How does it look? Is it hydrating? 
Zero glow, the only thing that is left is a weird sticky feeling that ends up looking totally matte. Don&#39;t get me wrong, it&#39;s not like you don&#39;t feel any hydration, the skin gets slightly softer, but it just looks and feels so bad and uncomfortable, it really isn&#39;t this snail, rich hydration that the product promises

-Who is this good for?
I guess if you are extremely oily, and not sensitive to alcohol and fragrance and you prefer looking matte this could be for you.

Today I woke up feeling like I need to glow, but in the most light, soothing way possible. I thought to myself,  why not try some of the samples I have beem collecting through the time? 

-First impressions:
 
When you read the words water&#47;aqua, gel, volume, you can only think of a wonderful lightweight hydrating cream that will turnk your skin back to life. Especially when the package says &quot;92% snail extract&quot;. 

-Looking at the ingredients we have some wonderful stuff: 
We have niacinamide, watermelon and licoric extracts, polyglutamic acid, sodiym hyaluronate, a bunch of antioxidants. The ingredient list is seemingly perfect.

There&#39;s nothing bad about it. Some people might find the sprayer a bit aggressive, but that&#39;s just it.

This mist is a match made in heaven for me. 
I love piling hydrating layers of skincare but I absolutely hate it when I feel like I stuck my face in a bucket of honey. 
The first time I sprayed this toner on my face I thought to myself that I had just spent this money for plain water. Until I realised how much of a good job it does to keeping my face hydrated and supple. 
It is very minimalistic, and it doesn&#39;t feel sticky, or heavy. Perfect for spraying in between products to keep the skin feeling supple :D
