I tried to apply the cream a little closer to my eyes in order to get full coverage on my face which was a mistake. It stung a little being too close to my eyes.

This is a delightful cream to use. The texture is so silky and smooth. It glided across the skin and provides a lot if hydration.
It is pricey but I think it is worth it

Thus cream does contain alcohol...although my sensitive skin is not bothered at all. Price point is very high...I usually treat myself twice a year!
