I NEED HELP. Any soothing ingredients i can look for since i know i fd up my skin today.

So i wanted to try the Cadalie foam cleanser my mom uses and god, do i regret it. The fragrance is pungent and stayed on my face even after the wash not to mention i felt my skin and knew something was def not right. The tightness was insane. And to top it off i used too much of my Some By Mi bha toner😭 Im using an aloe vera gel, but i know my skin is gonna be in such bad shape after this. My skin is so irritated and red😭 im gonna cry

ceramides can help and i know centella helps with redness. i would try to patch test next time before using something new on your face. test it out on your wrist first to see how you’ll react. also maybe make your routine really simple during this time, in am use cleanser and moisturizer and spf and at pm use cleanser and moisturizer to minimize anymore possible redness and irritation.

Did you used this? Applying aloe vera gel is a great decision! I'd recommend centella asiatica products. It's meant for soothing and calming redness. Somebymi aha/bha toner contains very low concentration of acids. You will need to avoid using any other acids and retinol products. A quick way to calm down your skin is to apply any soothing mask which may contains either centella, mugwort or green tea.

Look for products that are hydrating. Would be best if you could get your hands on a ceramide cream. I f*d up my skin barriers a few weeks back and ceramide healed my skin completely in just 2 weeks it's insane. Tagged the products I used. Stay away from actives like retinol and vitamin C.

If my skin is super irritated. I stop everything, even cleanser and sunscreen. This is because when my skin is irritated, it also gets dry All I have on is gentle basic moisturizers. After it starts to calm down, I slow introduce gentle cleansers and sunscreen. After almost two weeks my skin goes back to what it was.
