Hi all. I just received my first prescription Tretinoin (yay!). Though I have experience with Adapalene, I'm nervous and scared of Tretinoin because I remember when I first use Adapalene my skin was irritated badly. And Tretinoin is so much stronger than Adapalene. 
Can you please give me some advice to minimize the irritation? Thanks.

Tips to minimize Tretinoin irritation

🚫 It does contain Rosemary Oil which gives it a light scent. The scent disappears after it is washed off.

✔️ This is a moisturizing cleanser that contains Lauric Acid (anti-inflammatory), and soothing ingredients such as Panthenol and Allantoin.
✔️ It foams up nicely to a smooth, silky texture. It feels very nice and gentle on my skin.
✔️ It leaves my skin feel hydrated.

🚫 It does contain Rosemary Leaf Oil and thus has an herbal scent to it. The scent doesn't linger.

✔️ Noticable ingredients: Sea Buckthorn Bert Extract, Turmeric Root Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Niacinamide, and Hyaluronic Acid.
✔️ Texture: it has a lightweight texture with a bit of slippery to it and absorbs quickly and completely into my skin. It doesn't leave an oily feeling.
✔️ Though it contains Ascorbic Acid, it appears in the middle of the ingredient list so suspect that the amount of Ascorbic Acid is not that high (potentially less iritation and has longer shelf life).
✔️ It layers well with other products in my AM routine and doesn't cause pilling which is often an issue with vitamin c serums for me.


🚫 It has added fragrance. The fragrance reminds me of powder rooms for some reasons. The fragrance lingers for a bit and disappears maybe an hour after.


✔️ Noticable ingredients: Quinone Complex Plus (an exclusive component of DOMINAS cream that contains Niacinamide), Centella Asiatica, Urea, Panthenol
✔️ Texture: this cream has a thick, rich, and buttery texture
✔️ Fast absorbing though 
✔️ I only tried it in my PM routine. It left my skin well hydrated in the morning.
✔️ The jar is very heavy and sturdy, making it feel extra luxurious.

Overall, I think this cream is more suitable for mature or dry skins that need extra hydration and nourishment. It's quite thick for my combo/oily skin right now in this 85 degree weather. I will give it a proper try when the temperature drops and the heater is on in the winter.

As a combo/ oily skin girlie, I totally see the appeal of this cream. It's so lightweight and refreshing yet is so hydrating and soothing. It absorbs instantly and leaves no sticky feeling. It's best for humid climate and combo/ oily skin peeps.

🚫 On their website, they have a "Clinical Results" section for their products. However, in that section they reported the results of a Consumer Perception study. Like the name suggests, consumer perception study is all about the perception of consumers. It's like a collective review from users who try the products. There is nothing about clinical tests to show the efficacy of the product. I like the products but not the marketing tactics of using buzz words. Please provide actual data and experiment results to back up your claims if you're so eager to claim certain things and stop playing with fancy words!
