I have been checking Papa Recipe's skincare. They are not cheap so I thought of asking first before making a decision. What should i get? And what should I avoid?

I got excited when I received the email saying that the shipment has started but it all went down when I saw they used DHL. 😢 

I previously won elmt (I believe they are also from wishtrend) giveaways but it never came because DHL sucks here in Thailand -- it's complicated especially sending cosmetics and items more than USD39. They were charging me 3-5x the cost of the actual item. It's way too much. I didn't get the chance to use it. 😕 

I am afraid this will happen again. I have contacted Picky immediately when I received the email that I won -- to help inform the company to use other logistics company when sending to Thailand. But no luck 😔 

Did anyone had the same experience? How did you deal with it? Are you willing to pay 3-5x the price of the item? Or just leave it? 😶

It finally arrived! I am using it for 2 days now and so far loving it! 💛 It's my first time using a propolis skin care and I'm happy I gave it a go.

Results so far: giving me an instant dewy skin, and moisturizing. 

Anyone currently using this and considering it as HOLY GRAIL? 🍯🙋🏻‍♀️

Mine is Biore's watery essence because it stings my eyes very bad. And Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence because it pills and quite drying. Noting that I am on the normal to dry skin type.

Any sunscreen you regret buying? 🤔

It was not that affordable and accessible in Thailand and Philippines where I usually reside in. 



I really like that it is gentle on my skin while giving a nice cleanse. It is not stripping given that I have dry skin.

It has a little bit of particles, looks like a shredded herb or leaves but it doesn't feel like a scrub or anything like that.

It lathers a little. However, when I was using the foam maker, it gives a pretty foam and still not stripping.

With cleansers, I am not seeking anything more than taking off the dirt or make up on my face so I cannot speak to the brightening claims as I didn't check on that aspect, and I am not sure how the brightening properties could work on wash off products.

The packaging is basic and is just suitable for this product. Nothing exceptional.

I really want to like this, but my eyes are tearing up. Even so, I still enjoy using this. I just need to use mineral sunscreen around my eyes. 

This is a lightweight, moisturizing chemical sunscreen. I love how it feels nourishing (note that I have dry skin), I think oily skin type may find it greasy.

The texture is intriguing: gel cream that turns into a burst of water.

Another thing I like about it is that it looks good and blends under (light) make-up. It doesn't pill.

It has the potential to be a holy grail for people whose eyes are not sensitive to chemical sunscreen.

Those who have known sensitivity to fragrance may not enjoy it.

The Acnes line from Mentholatum seems to be working very well for me especially when I am experiencing breakouts – usually during the red days of the month.

The notable ingredients are high percentage of pure Centella Asiatica extract for soothing the skin, Salicylic Acid (BHA) for clearing up the spots, some brightening properties from Vitamin C and Niacinamide. It also contains plant oils such as avocado and olive oil.

The consistency is creamy and it lathers nicely when you add some water. Even if it is foaming, it does not strip the skin at all. 
Personally, I enjoy PM cleansers like this that lather and then in the AM I use even milder cleansers. My skin feels clean and nourished after washing and after days of use, the break outs seem to calm down – I also use the Acnes spot treatment alongside.

I am pretty much aware that cleansers will just be going down the drain but I make sure I can get most out of it by leaving it on for a minute.

It is very affordable. A 100g took me months to finish because a little goes a long way. This is perfect especially for beginners or for students with a tight budget.

It is also very accessible and easy to get here in Thailand.

I think combination, oily skin and acne prone skin type can use this but for those who have known sensitivity to fragrance may not enjoy it.

I think this can be used to not just calm down breakouts but also prevent it from coming back and it can also help brighten scars.

However, it pills at the end of the days and if i try to put makeup over it.

I still use it if I know that I will not be out under the sun most time of the day.

Also important note for sensitive skin types, this has alcohol and fragrance  

I trust Japanese sunscreens that's why I am exploring the ones that'll work perfectly for me.

This is almost perfect, it doesnt have a cast, lightweight and easy to spread. It also didnt hurt my eyeballs.

It is relatively affordable and comes with 80gms of sunscreen.

Besides sun protection, it includes antioxidants too.

Just the price. Otherwise, it's almost perfect. 🤎

The bi-phase formula is interestingly unique. I find it fun and very satisfying shaking it up and watch the layers combine. I am obsessed 🥰

Texture: so lovely, it looks and feels like a milky foam to lightweight watery consistency

Great for my dry skin especially now that I am using tretinoin. I am experiencing irritation from time to time and this essence, so far, helps to soothe and nourish my skin.

It didn’t clog my pores, and not greasy at all.

For some reason, I was hoping it’ll smell a bit earthy (which I like similar to the Isntree green tea toner). 😅

It is on the pricier side (USD35). I’d repurchase if it’s on a great deal.
