I am a fan of K beauty but I have never tried The Skin House before. I always use micellar water as part of my skincare routine and was excited to try the Rice Active Essence Cleansing Water. First of all, I love the packaging, the slick white bottle with the handy pump which allows you to get the right amount without wasting the product. You have to shake it well before use and it's so satisfying to watch the liquid turn into a pearly mixture with its molecules starting to whirl in a dizzying waltz 💫

It contains black rice and panthenol among other great ingredients. 
✔️  Black rice is rich in amino acids, fatty acids and antioxidants that reduce the negative effects of aging. 
✔️ Panthenol is a great moisturising ingredient. It can rapidly hydrate skin, resulting in a more supple feel and appearance.

So, here is my experience with this cleansing water:

It thoroughly cleanses and exfoliates my skin, leaving it fresh, soft and supple. My skin texture has improved, pores look tighter and my skin looks brighter. It effectively preps my skin for other skincare care products and makeup. It's hypoallergenic and is suitable for sensitive skin.

This is my first product by Mixsoon and I'm really impressed by it. 

🫘 It's a well-formulated essence packed with fantastic ingredients, such as fermented bean, fermented barley, fermented pomegranate and fermented Korean pear. Such an amazing blend!  ✨️

🧖‍♀️ You can use this essence in two different ways: as a daily serum that moisturises and soothes skin, prepping it for further steps of your skincare routine, and as an exfoliator that scrubs off dead skin cells. If you use it as the latter, you'll have to apply it generously to your skin and massage it in circular motions, then you should repeat this procedure. You will feel tiny beads forming under your fingers - it's dead skin and dirt peeling off. 

💦 The essence has a rather thick and runny consistency and is stretchy. It's probably a tad stickier than the other serums I used because it's made of ferments (!) and has a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, but you don't feel any stickiness on your skin once it's absorbed. Your skin immediately feels smooth and squeaky clean but without being stripped of its essential oils. On the contrary, it repairs damaged skin barrier.

🪞 After you consistently use the product you can see and feel the difference. It leaves your skin smooth like a peach, plump and glowing. The skin tone looks more even as well. The product if fragrance free and suitable for sensitive skin. This product is also vegan.

This ointment is a real skin saviour. It contains aloe vera extract that soothes and moisturises dry and chapped lips and skin. It locks moisture in and leaves your skin soft and smooth. Also, it's good as an after sun care product.

It's lightweight, breathable, non-greasy, absorbs very quickly without leaving any white cast or a sticky film on my skin. It can serve as a perfect base for make-up, without pilling. I like its milky texture. My skin is sensitive and some sunscreens tend to cause irritation and sting my eyes but this one is absolutely different. It's suitable for my sensitive skin and is non-comedonic. It protects my skin and moisturisers it at the same time so I don't use any other moisturiser with it. It's designed for oily or combination skin so you don't need to worry about your shiny face any more. 


Great foundation for combination mature skin, it is easy to apply and gives a dewy finish. Medium coverage, blends well, looks natural on the skin.  Doesn't cake and stays put the whole day.
