I have SUPER oily skin and I am looking for a vitamin c serum that will not make my face look greasy. Also, I’m a beginner; I have never used vitamin c before. Do you have some recommendations please?

Best Vitamin C serum for oily skin?

Hi guys! 

I was just wondering if you guys have any views on this. I’m not use to have that much acne but recently I have got a lot of pimples on my cheeks and on the right side just above my eyebrow and got some redness. 

When I have some pimples, I used to exfoliate my skin 2-3 times a week and my skin would get better. This would also help my skin from clogged pores as I have oily skin. 

However, since I started getting this acne around 3 week ago, even when I exfoliate it doesn’t make my skin better. The pimples would not go away. And after I wash my face, I’ve also noticed some dryness and my face feels a bit tight. I have very oily skin so never used to experience dryness and tightness. I don’t know if my skin barrier is damaged. I’ve also stopped using all actives for a week now but I’m scared my skin will get clogged and I will get more acne without exfoliating. 

I don’t know what I should do and if I have a damaged skin barrier? I don’t really know what’s causing my acne and why it’s not going away. 

Any views or help would be greatly appreciated!

I have recently started using Vichy Normaderm double correction moisturiser and Cosdebaha Niacinamide serum but unfortunately both broke me out pretty badly 🥲 I have oily skin and my skin texture is also quite bumpy. Hi everyone! I have been wanting to try the Cosrx Snail Mucin Power Essence for a while now, but I’m scared that it will not be suitable for my skin type. I have super oily skin and I’m scared that this product makes it look even oilier. So oily-skinned people, please let me know if you have tried this product and does it work for oily skin?

💦 Effect: It does remove impurities effectively but made my skin feel dry and tight afterwards
💦 This cleanser unfortunately didn't work for me
💦 Contains alcohol and has a strong fragrance smell, which might not be suitable for sensitive skin.
💦 I think that there are better cleansers out there on the market, which are more gentle and effective.
💦 Overall, this is not a good cleanser and I don't recommend this and won't
repurchase again.

💦 Gently purifies skin, leaving it refreshed and mattified
💦 Washes away makeup, excess oil and impurities
💦 Contains a little kelp from Ireland

My experience:

💦 Texture: It has a gel texture 
💦 Scent: Has a quite strong fragrance smell

🍃 Not suitable for sensitive skin
🍃 Overall, not a good product and I don’t recommend it

🍃 Positive effects: Pores are tightened, reduce blackheads and remove impurities easily

Negatives:

🌿 Might be a little bit too harsh for sensitive skin. However, this has not been too much of a concern for my oily skin.

Overall, this is a really good product for my oily acne-prone skin. It helps to reduce my acne and blackheads. Anyone who is struggling with oily skin and acne, i recommend that you give this a try ✨

Positives: 
🌿 Leaves my skin feeling so clean
🌿 Blackheads are significantly reduced

🌿 Leaves my face feeling refreshed and glowy 
🌿 Probably my holy grail face mask 😊


What i didn’t like:

🥛 May not be suitable for daytime since it’s a bit greasy and sticky after application 

Overall, this is a good product but i won’t repurchase because i didn’t like the smell and the greasiness. If these don’t bother you, i recommend to give this a try since it’s made with good quality ingredients and it’s really nourishing.

Overall, i don’t like this product because it contained loads of alcohol (you’ll notice it through the scent). This can dry out your skin, making your acne worse. I won’t be repurchasing in the future. There are other spot treatments, which are more effective and better alternatives to this one, on the market.
