This review is going to be updated again however, to respect the deadlines required, here is my initial response to the product.


The Brand
Stemming from the brand Coreelle, The Potions is a Korean Brand whose ethos is based on minimalist skincare. Their products are ranged from ampoules, serums to facial cleansers and many others for your unique skincare.

Although the brand speaks to simplicity and minimalism which I loved, I was left with questions related to product testing, whether or not it was a vegan or any other conflict-free information.

Packaging
The packaging simple and clean, matching with their minimal brand. Each product has its own 20ml bottle with a dropper.

In order of placement on the skin.
This products can be applied in layers or mixed together. The Coreelle website has a demo video with the 3 mixed together.

Peptide- amino acid with collagen and elastin needed for youthful bouncy skin. This has a watery texture and absorbs quickly into the skin leaving no residue.

Hyaluronic Acid- this is a natural moisturizing liquid that allows our skin to hold many times its moisture content. I found this slightly gooey texture that also absorbs quickly leaving a slightly tacky feel.

Jojoba Oil- I've never used this and was super excited. This is the oil that is closest to our natural body sebum while delivering vitamins and protecting our skin from oxidization. This felt light and absorbed quickly while leaving my skin feeling moisturized.

Cons
There was not enough information on the sites about the sustainability factors I look for when purchasing a product. I would love to see more details about product sourcing and testing. The Jojoba oil has a mild scent.

The Potions Product Review

I’ve seen and read about “glass skin” but never had the same effect on my skin until using medicube! Be prepared to be using the phrase “ I woke up like this” because I literally did.🤯

✨Packaging
The packaging is the first thing you notice about many products and this takes me by surprise! I feel like it's a princess curated packaging. It is so elegant and the color which I call rose gold but is more like a blush pink is so feminine and delicate. I already feel like I've been transported to the luxury of skincare with it.


In order of placement on the skin.

Triple Collagen Toner💦- watery, clear texture and look. This product is in a drip bottle that holds 140ml of boosting ingredients such as niacinamine, hyaluronic acid and multiple collagen ingredients.
The sensation is cooling to touch on the face and leaving a subtle glow. This product has a gentle and mild floral scent.

Vita C ampoule🍊- this is a thicker consistency (like liquid ice-cream?) that has a milky color. You get 3 ampoules and a dropper that fits perfectly on each bottle for use. Stored in a dark colored bottled, manufacturers ask that we keep this product away from the light and in cool temperatures as it contains actives known for smoothing the skin. This product is needed liberally for application as it does not have a consistency for spreading alot but does absorb generally quickly into the skin.
There was no sensation on the face which I was very pleased about since this was my first vit C product ever used on my skin. This product has a mild scent.

Triple Deep Erasing Cream🌟- one of my favorite parts of any routine is the moisturizer because of it's role to lock in and seal the products that were previously layered on the skin. This 50ml jar product has a very thick and easy to spread on the skin. It leaves a lovely dewy glow that feels like a final step at the spa. The sensation on the skin felt silky and smoothing as it was being applied. This was mildly scented.

Cons
The scent although mild may still be overbearing for some and the toner pour bottle to get the product for use is less convenient than a spray bottle which I would be quicker to opt for.

Rating
I received my products a bit late so I’ve only been able to use it for 2 days therefore this is an initial impression review.

I have an amazing first impression of this product, care was taken to give each receiving client the feeling of an upscale product both in packing and contents. I would recommend this as a bridesmaids gift, or for a girls day. I definitely prefer using it as night and letting my skin sleep with it as compared to wearing out during the day.

Medicube Product Review

Since I’ve tried this product from my picky winnings I’ve been trying to send my clients to the site to purchase and try this cleanser but I’m not seeing it on the site any suggestions that aren’t Amazon?

Does anyone know where I can buy papa recipe cleansing eggplant face wash?

I’ve been using the Neutrogena sunblock since moving to the Caribbean (4 months) and wow the bugs come at me as I step outside!! Any suggestions for another product I can try?

This soothing gel has been amazing to my skin. Its creamy, moisturizing and fosters a healthy skin barrier. The Neopharm MLE component is truly a match for various skin types and I can see this being a product that works wonders on sensitive skin.

* skin type compatibility - definitely compatible with my skin - combination but is also recommended for oily and acne prone skin.

This product claims to be non-comedogenic (fancy words for saying does not clog your pores) and trust me I've been trying a number of sunscreen products so I really wanted to see if this really could live up to that claim.

I'll say first that this sun cream is super light and for my brown skin leaves no white cast. I enjoy using it because when reapplying most sunscreens feel clammy and heavy but this was light any made keeping within my 2 hour window (reapplying every 2 hours) super easy. So yes for my skin it was not heavy nor comedogenic.

There is another interesting test I have for sunscreens - Does it Burn my nose? I've found that they all burn under my nose area and this is the first one that does not. Clearly, there is some ingredient difference here.

*Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (long word for sunscreen agent) this is a new type, chemical sunscreen agent that's designed for high UVA (aging ray) protection and high photostability (meaning the ability to remain strong against UV rays) (Incidecoder.com, 2022).
*Centella Asiatica Extract - an interesting skin soothing choice which is often used for sensitive skin conditions because of its moisturizing and antioxidant properties. Which is probably what helped with not having that unusual by typical burning sensation.

At this point I had no issues with this product and I'll probably be buying more when this one is finished.

Great deep penetrating product. Very intense moisture content. Creamy texture.

Downsides
The stinging was also experienced by my husband so that's a mini red flag for me. The smell was light and fresh but as always can be overbearing for some.

*Algae extract - aids with skin toning and elasticity

So how was it - to be honest stinging a bit at first but eventually it wore off and there were no adverse side effects. Around my eyes felt moisturized. The material of the eye patches seem of a cellular composition which means it is 100% biodegradable.
