I currently use the ordinary retinol 0.2% squalane and I find it quite oily and want to switch. I’ve been using it for around 10 months.

I either want to switch to:
The inkey list retinol (the beginner version)
Or the granactive retinol 2%

Which would be better?

How much drops should you use when using a retinol serum?

I know that it’s a pea size for retinols in cream formulations but how much for a liquid formulation?

For reference, I’m using the ordinary retinol in squalane, 0.2%.

This toner is designed to hydrate and soothe skin and also repairing the skin barrier.
This has a slightly viscous texture that instantly sinks into the skin. It helps to replenish and hydrate the skin, without any greasiness or tackiness. It’s also very lightweight so is great for all year round. This is great for all skin types, as it’s very light yet nourishing.

 I prefer to use this at night currently as it’s slightly too thick for my morning routine. As I have combination skin, i would only use this in winter as it does a medium thickness texture. I also would not recommend to those with very oily skin.

This is a very moisturising cream, which is great for when my skin is in need for moisture and hydration. As I have combination skin, I would prefer to use this in autumn and winter, when I generally tend to use thicker creams. This is the perfect texture, as it has a stringy medium thickness, that glides across my skin and absorbs quickly. It does have a slightly sticky feeling after applying, which settles after a couple of minutes.

For me, it has a very orange undertone so looks too orange on me. This is also too dark for my skin tone most of the year, it is only fine for a few weeks in the summer. The rest of the year I have to mix the tinted serum with a lighter cool toned foundation, which makes it quite difficult to wear.

This has quite a light weight consistency with light coverage. It’s a your skin but better product and gives a natural finish. I personally use it with a brush as it’s more coverage than a beauty blender. It helps to even my skin tone and helps to slightly cover my dark spots. The finish is slightly glowy and radiant.

This essence has recently become a favourite of mine! It is perfect for all seasons for my dehydrated skin as it’s lightweight yet hydrating! I also love the texture as it’s not stringy like most snail mucin products. It’s a gel consistency that easily sinks into the skin, with no stickiness. 

As it’s a cleanser with active ingredients and can be slightly drying, I prefer to use it  once a day, either morning or night which works better for me. It does have a lingering tea tree scent, which I don’t mind but may not be suitable for sensitive skin. I would recommend this to those with oily or combination skin as opposed to dry skin, as it can be a bit drying.

This is a great foaming cleanser that’s currently helping with my texture and breakouts. I normally don’t like foaming cleansers but this one i actually quite like as it’s foaming into a cream texture rather than an airy foamy lather.
