First I want to thank Picky and House of Dowha for the opportunity to try this product. I’ve been loving every minute of it 💗

🌾WHAT IT IS ~ This soft and creamy wash off face mask is made from the extracts of 9 traditionally and locally grown rices, grown with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers. This is mild enough to use it daily, after washing your face you simply apply and wait 10 minutes and then rinse with water. There are some small grains that will gently exfoliate when removing. 

The mask claims to brighten, soften, and nourish your skin. I found all of these to be true after using it several times

🌾 Packaging ~ This bag style packaging is really just so convenient. Easy to travel with, easy to apply, no mess and no cross contamination.  I really love this packaging. 

🌾 Worth Noting ~ House of Dohwa is a vegan, cruelty free, all natural, clean beauty brand that is reintroducing Koreas traditional skincare methods to the world.  

🌾 Retail Price ~ About $20 ~ Very reasonable, you will get several uses from one package ~ 🎉 This is on sale now on the Corelle website for $14, or $20.99 for a two pack of masks 🎉 Hint, hint. 

🌾 My Overall Opinion ~ 
Easy 5 star product ~ This mask is really soft, and I found it very calming, soothing, and beneficial to my combination skin.  It has a very, very mild scent to it, hardly detectable. It goes on very easy, and doesn’t leave my face feeling dried out at all, in fact the exact opposite.  My skin felt refreshed, bright, smooth, soft, and hydrated when I washed the mask off.  

This mask doesn’t really dry up on your face like a clay mask would, and the creaminess of it can take a bit  of work to get it all off, this is where the exfoliation is happening. I tend to avoid physical exfoliants and use chemical ones instead, but this was so mild that it just felt cleansing more than anything.  

Beyond how much I loved the product, the brand is also worthy of a large amount of respect for their philosophy.  I would buy this product again for sure, and will be keeping an eye out for other products from House of Dowha in the future.

A 5 Star Product From A 5 Star Brand ~ House of Dohwa's Rice Wash Off Facial Mask

💖 The Ordinary ~ Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution ~ I like having this toner on hand for when my skin decides to not behave. Works well for Mini Me as well. ($10)

✅  Purlisse ~ Matcha Green Tea + Lemon Detoxifying Charcoal Mask ~ I like the feel of this mask, very slight tingle at first, but went away quickly, my face felt great after using it ~ The price is really the only reason I didn’t give this a 💖($35 ~ for full size)

✅  Mazi ~ Balancing Multi Effect Facial Cleanser ~ I actually really liked this cleanser, but it was not great on the dryer parts of my combination skin, Mini Me however loved it on her skin which is more oily. So while I won’t repurchase for my skin, if you have oily skin this would be a good one to try ($19)

❓ Loreal ~ Midnight Serum ~ I really have no idea if this does what it says, I can tell you it absorbs well into the skin and leaves it very mattified.  It’s a thick serum, with a brownish color and has a strong scent to it that goes away once applied. ($44 for full size)

💖 Haruharu Wonder ~ Black Rice Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleansing Gel ~ Unscented ~ This is one of my favorite cleansers.  ($12 - $20) *PR

✅  HaruHaru Wonder ~ Black Rice Serum ~ This was a good serum, however it contains lavender essential oil and the scent was just too much for me ~ ($26) *PR

✅ Etude House ~ Collagen ~ l enjoyed these, but just wasn’t in love. 

🛑 Youth Haus ~ Glow & Go ~ Ok, these are not awful, but they dried up before they were in for 10 min, and the price for these is high, so that’s just an issue. 

✅ Beautaniq Beauty ~ Guardian Angel Revitalizing gel patches (3) ~ I really liked these, but again it’s a price issue.  At $25 no way. 

✅ beautiologylab ~ Refresh + Revitalize Gold Collagen (4) ~ this is my last of these, I love them but the price is a bit high 

🛑 acure ~ Radically Rejuvenating Under Eye Hydrogels  ~ Price and packaging are the downfall. It seemed like excessive packaging, yet still lacked enough Essence to stay moist, and for about $4 a set that’s crazy.

It had no scent that I noticed, and absorbed very well into my skin. It felt almost dry in my hand, a very unique feeling oil.

🌺My General Opinion ~ I am always a bit hesitant and cautious with skin oils, I started out slowly with this, applying it only in the pm every couple days, I have increased that to daily and I have nothing but good things to say. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin literally glowing. My skin feels like silk even the next morning, with no oily, or greasy feeling spots, even on the oily parts of my combination skin.  I can’t speak to the long term results, but I would recommend trying this face oil to anyone, no matter your skin type, or concern. This is a 1oz bottle, and you only use a couple small drops each application so it should last you for some time.

These are the first products from Be The Skin I’ve ever tried, I am really liking their lines and hope to see more from them in the future. They are committed to developing eco friendly, safe products and I’m loving that 

💬 Eye creams are a weakness for me, its my most troubled area, so I’m open to trying anything and everything. This cream at first seemed like it would be heavy (that is not bad), but it isn’t, it’s a texture that absorbs very well, almost gel like, it’s unique and I really love the ingredient list in this, the BBCC complex is a win.  It does an amazing job moisturizing. But it does more, it has ingredients to lift and brighten the skin, the brightening aspect will take a bit more time using to see results, in the meantime I appreciate that it doesn’t leave a greasy, oily residue behind while making the skin a bit firmer, moisturized and soft. It has a citrus/tropical fruit scent to it, it’s isn’t overpowering but it’s there.  Overall I would recommend this to anyone not sensitive to the fragrance. Wonderful eye cream! Bonus, it’s a substantially sized tube, for a really reasonable price

The texture, it’s so light & smooth, absorbs so well on my skin. Leaves no hint of anything once absorbed, unless you count a nice healthy look to your skin, I wouldn’t call it glowy, but also not matte either.

If you love Cica this is your girl.  If you love the HA’s check her out. 

Those with skin that is oily or combo/oily, you could skip your moisturizer all together and just apply this 💙

💬 If you enjoy foam cleansers, but also have dry or sensitive skin, this one is worth giving a try.  The pearlescent white cleanser foams up vary nicely, has a mild natural scent to it, bergamot I believe? It rinses off my combination skin well and doesn’t leave it feeling tight or dry.   I’ve really enjoyed this cleanser, thank you Iunik

💬 Have you used a milk cleanser? What do you think of them?  

Personally I am a fan of them, specifically for my AM routine. 

This Yam Root Vegan Milk Cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean, but not stripped or dry, just soft and moisturized. You massage this onto dry skin, and add a little water, massaging a bit longer and then rinse with warm water. 

I would never know this wasn’t made with actual milk, if I didn’t see the label but It is in fact vegan 🌱 Yep!!  The vegan milk complex is made with multiple extracts (Rice, coconut fruit, soybean, oatmeal, & sweet almond seed) Yet the texture, scent, feel all are the same as other milk cleansers I’ve used. 

Now why the yam root? Well because it’s amazing at forming a moisture barrier on your skin, helping to moisturize it, and the amino acids help sooth your skin without damaging the skin barrier.  Isntree uses Adong yam root, which grows in sandy well drained soil allowing for a high content of phyto mucin which is what does all the good stuff.

    * Hibiscus Esculentus Fruit (Okra)

Retinol Intense Reactivating Serum ($17) All I expected and more, from the intense purple bottle, to the creamy texture this is stunning

What matters most is that it works! Retinol isn’t an overnight magical potion, but after only a short time I can already tell this is effective in exactly the way it is supposed to be. My cells are doing that sped up turn over only using this every 2-3 days!

No irritation, no drying or flaking yet, just a couple small pimples that are proof that it’s working as intended & a good sign!

With retinol (0.1%) retinal (1 ppm), & bakuchiol (5,000 ppm) you are getting a trifecta that is formulated perfectly for beginners (like me)
