Hello Picky friends!

I will be attending an event next weekend (few people, and corona safe measures according to my country). I would like to know how you guys prep your skin for makeup before a big event.

I will be going to a makeup artist this time but I thought that I could at least prep with good skincare.

So what skincare products do you guys use to get nice, plump and hydrated skin that looks good in makeup. Let me know if you do anything special the night before and what you do on the actual day.

Skinprep before big event

Hey guys!

I'm in need of a calming serum with some benefitial ingredients. I also want to cut my routine short by using all rounded products instead of products with one ingredient.

I have also started using retinol so something calming and soothing is what I want.

I'm trying to pick between Beauty of Joseon calming serum and Purito Centella Unscented Serum.

Have you guys tried any of these? Which do you suggest?

Hey guys!

I have an issue that I need help with
I apply my skincare and SPF in the morning. If later during the day I want to do makeup, it doesn't look plump and hydrated as it is when applied on newly done skincare. 

How do you guys do it? I don't want to wash my face and apply skincare all over again later in the day because I have sensitive skin and it turns red.

Sweden is moving into the colder months now and I can feel my getting more and more dehydrated. Towards the winter time my skin is more combination.

I have been thinking about getting the dear klair's unscented toner. Should I get it or do you feel there are better products out there?
I also have the snail mucin essence from Cosrx at home.

Let me know what your favourite products are for hydrating and moisturizing the skin. Could be a moisturizer, toner, essence, nightmask or anything that you like 😊

☁️ The claims: 

This is a sunscreen with a dry touch formula that is supposed to be ultra light. It is aimed for people with acne prone skin, and combination to oily skin types. The antioxidants green tea extract, vitamin C and E can also be found in the product as well as the ingredient Fernblock, which naturally gives sun protection. 

☁️ My experience:

I have read many positive reviews about this sunscreen and that is why I decided to try it, unfortunately it didn&#39;t work for me at all. Also the product is tinted, which I had no idea about until I read reviews. 
The only things I liked about it was that the shade of the sunscreen matched me pretty well (medium skin tone) and it didn&#39;t give any white cast.

 When I apply this sunscreen to my face it looks like I have smeared myself in butter. It looks awful to the point that I would never step out of my door looking like that. It never dries down on my skin, but I can feel the dry touch because my face feels so dry and tight after applying it. It feels like I have a clay mask on my face that has dried down, while looking like an oil slick as well.. very strange.

The sunscreen would also sometimes get into my baby hairs and my baby hairs would get all crunchy 😩. I have a lot of baby hairs though and thick ones. 
This sunscreen didn&#39;t work for me but a lot of people like it so if you have been thinking about getting then it still might be worth a try.

I have realized that I prefer gentle and hydrating cleansers, even though I have oily to combination skin. I actually never even thought of trying a hydrating cleanser. But then I received a sample of this, and when I tried it my skin felt instant gratification. 

This cleanser is hydrating and has glycerin and coconut extract among the ingredients. 
It's gentle, it cleanses well and doesn't leave the skin feeling stripped. It comes out thick and creamy from the tube. 

When mixed with water it's still creamy and turns turns slightly foamy. The cleanser is easy to rinse off, and has a herbal like scent but that doesn't bother me. 

This is a really nice cleanser that I will repurchase

A tiny bit shiny on the skin during summer time

This product is a sunscreen mousse. Instead of staying on the surface of the skin, as other sunscreens do, EVY&#39;s sunscreen mousse spreads throughout the top layer of the skin. Due to this the sunscreen doesn&#39;t rub off from water, sweating and other external factors. Hence the long lasting protection of 4-6 hours. I reapply every 6 hours. This particular version can be applied both on the face and body. They also have one specific for the face but I feel it was way too shiny.

I have gone through several bottles of this sunscreen, although I felt that it gave a bit of a shiny finish during the summer. Now that we are approaching the colder months I think that I will appreciate it more, since my skin becomes more combination during the winter and oily during the summer.

The product comes out as a white mousse and when you rub it in between your palms it turns into a cream. The amount as the size of a golf ball is sufficient for full protection. This sunscreen doesn&#39;t contain any fragrance and is suitable for sensitive skin as well

Makes me tiny bit shiny, but I don't mind. It's easy to fix

The consistency of this sunscreen is creamy but lightweight. It's not too liquidy nor too thick. It doesn't feel heavy or tacky and melts into the skin. It has rice bran water, grain ferment extract complex along with niacinamide in the ingredients list.
The sunscreen has worked very well for my medium skin tone, meaning it didn't make me look like a ghost. 

The product is moisturizing and easy to spread on the face. During winter time my skin is more combination and my cheeks can sometimes feel dry. I feel the level of moisture that this sunscreen provides is perfect for my skin and the cold winter weather. I had no issues reapplying it later in the day either and no pilling

I received this mini cleanser in a goodie bag and I was pleasantly surprised by it.

The claims of the product:
🍃 The product is formulated with amino acids and glycerin-based cleansing agents, that are supposed to gently remove makeup and impurities without stripping the skin of moisture.

🍃 Ideal for normal, oily, combination, and sensitive skin

🍃 The cleanser helps with dryness, dullness, the appearance of uneven texture, and clogged pores.

🔑 Key Ingredients:
🍃 Lady&#39;s mantle  which helps with removing of free radicals from the skin
🍃 Napiers Aqua Formula which supports hyaluronic acid retention

My experience 🎭:
The Belif Aqua Bomb jelly cleanser comes in a squeezy tube and it&#39;s very easy to get the product out. Only a tiny amount is needed for cleansing.

The product is a gentle jelly-to-foam cleanser and has a citrus-like fragrance to it. The fragrance  actually reminds me of the Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask. 

It feels silky smooth on the skin, and makes cleansing the skin very enjoyable. I agree with the claim that removes makeup and impurities gently without stripping the skin of moisture. I wouldn&#39;t agree with the intensely hydrating claim though, which is printed on the front of the tube. I use this as my second cleanser after oil cleansing. It does a good job of removing the oil residues. Overall it&#39;s a very nice cleanser.
