Hi.  My name is Cade.  I am 19 years old, and my skincare regimen is lacking. It felt like a SA meeting there lol (skincare anonymous). However, there are reasons.  1. I have never taken it seriously because if you look at my family's skin, they all look young for their ages.  2. I have psoriasis and acne issues.....bad combo. 3. I'm young

My mom has been on my skincare since I was young. The psoriasis medications and such did help bring it to more mild stages. It isn't near as bad as it used to be.  When I started getting acne, she was on it even though it didn't bother me.  I kept asking her why.  Her response is one I will never forget....." because kids are cruel, and they typically find any reason to bully, put down, compare, and make fun of on a daily basis. I don't want you to have to be their target because you got your dad's skin".  

I love my mom. She makes life easier for me in so many ways. Her skin is great. She is 43 and barely has a wrinkle. She says she did some skincare when she was in high school and up until she was like 22.  Then, she stopped.  She has explained to me our skin is not the same. Picky has helped me understand this a little better as well. Her's is dry to normal, and mine is combination for certain.

Half the time I don't think about skincare because she's always getting stuff free, or buying it for me to try.  I will say I am getting better about my routine.  However, what I am lacking is sunscreen. I need a Sunscreen which won't burn when I put it on because of the psoriasis. I have tried several brands, but it ends up in the same result. Picky can't really help with this combination of skin irritants so I was hoping maybe someone else out there has similar issues -- acne + psoriasis.

Feeling Blesses Today

My mom has been on the picky app for a couple months now, and she kept telling me I needed to get on here.  Obviously, I took her advice.  No, this is not the reason I love my mom 🤣 Let me explain.

Aside for the normal reasons we all love our moms, mine seems to do things for me I do not think about doing for myself. Recently, she entered a contest on here for a product which did not fit her skin type but mine.  Honestly, she really doesn't need a lot of skincare help as being her age her skin is pretty well off.  However, I digress.

I have psoriasis on my face so skincare is hard at time.  She always gets excited when she finds stuff she think will work.  The woman has spent 1000s to help me with my skin only to be disappointed when I can't use it.  She's won a couple contests on here.  One for her and one for me.  I'll admit I am always leary when she buys skincare products for me because of past issues.  It's the product NOT my mom.

I came home from the college and she was so excited.  I used it.  No burning, no redness, no itching, nothing which normally happens did.  I used it for four days while home, and I freaking loved it.  It was fantastic.  It's been a little over a month.  The Bottle was getting low, but I didn't say anything. I came home again last weekend to find my mom had bought 2 more bottles for me and some new stuff.  

She got me a couple Glow Recipe products for free.  Full size bottles too.  The Blueberry cleanser and the Guava Serum.  Holy moly people.......these were fantastic!!!  She doesn't just get skincare either. She is ALWAYS finding me good makeup to use which doesn't irritate my skin. So shout out to my mom for being so awesome & always wanting me to look my best.....love you 💗

I couldn't really feel the difference on the textured side. 

I got th3 chance to try the Hue_Calm Refining Toner Pads thanks to @go.picky and @huecalm.official 

I love how the packaging comes with a set of tweezers for easy use. The Toner pads are a good size which allow you to cover your whole face with only one. Each pad has a textured and smooth side. They are soaked in a lightly scented essence. My skin felt so soft and hydrated after each use.

I was able to try the Neogen Real Flower Cleansing Water Calendula thanks to the Neogen trial set. It is made calendula officinalis petal extracts. This cleansing water definitely soothes &amp; nourishes. It removes &amp; cleanses the impurities without irritating the mild psoriasis on my skin at all. One benefit I noticed right away was how quick and efficient it is to use. There were mornings that I barely had time to get dressed.  I found it easy to use on the go as well. I found at night it made my skincare routine much more manageable. Not to mention, how easy it was to travel. The little bottle packed nicely with the rest of my toiletries. The Neogen Real Flower Cleaning Water allowed me still take time for skincare without taking a ton of time.

Another Neogen Product from the trial set -- Real Vita C Serum -- came back as &quot;risky&quot; for me as I have more oily&#47;sensitive skin. This particular serum contains 12% Vita C Acerola-plex, and10% Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate.  It also has Citrus fruit extracts, vitamin complex of E and B5, Collagen, Hyaluronic acid. When you look at skincare products, we see a lot of these types of ingredients. 

 First, I will say I tried it despite the riskiest the Picky app stated. It did list 22 ingredients which were good for my skin type. Personally,  I think the trial sets should be customizable based on your skin type. I believe I would have had a different experience. 

However, I gave it only 4 stars and here is why.  While it did not irritate my skin too much, there was enough I took off a star. It wasn&#39;t overly harsh for me, but it could have been better. The other products worked so well I had higher hopes for the Vita C Serum.

I received the Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence in the Neogen Trial Set. The Ingredients in the essence are great and in my holy grail!! Here is what is in it
Bifida Ferment Lysate is moisture balancing while increasing elasticity &amp; skin immunity against harmful chemicals. It also strengthens the skin barrier. Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate also increases skin elasticity &amp; moisture. It also strengthens immune function as well as promotes skin rejuvenation. Betula Alba Juice contains antioxidant &amp; anti-septic benefits.
Aspergillus&#47;Rice Ferment Filtrate is fantastic for oil &amp; moisture balancing.

Using this essence was like water hitting your face in the shower -- Light and refreshing. I started seeing a difference it made within about 5 days. My skin is less dry &amp; has stayed that way. It is brighter, and I do notice my skin feels soft &amp; clean. A great benefit is it doesn&#39;t take much at all to cover your face.

I was given the opportunity to try the Commonlabs Vitamin E Calming Ampoule thanks to Commonlabs and Picky.

I am in love with the whole package from the bottle to the ingredients. It has this adorable (easy to recognize) green glass bottle. As soon as you open it, the amazing combination of smells hits you.  It's like instantly calming just opening it. The light scent of wormwood, pine tree extract and tea tree leaf extract is wonderful.

The liquid isn't overly thick either. The applicator has a curved end which makes application easier. It quickly absorbs without leaving any sort of gross, or greasy residue. 

I tend to have oily skin. I am very prone to breakouts, and my psoriasis makes skincare difficult. Tea Tree has been a lifesaver for me since I was little. Not only did the calming ampoule not agitate my psoriasis,  it walked right up to my sebum and said stop!! My skin looks so much better. I have not had as many breakouts, and it didn't dry me out. The Commonlabs Vitamin E Calming Ampoule will now be a staple for me. Picky also named it as a holy grail product.  Bonus!!!
