Anyone else super impressed by the amazing giveaways on the @picky app? I’ve not been a member for a great length of time but enjoy sharing my reviews on the app, seeing reviews and discussions. And, the thrill of being selected to test and review is great!

I’m interested to find out how you all apply your toners. Do you apply with hands or cotton? And why? Do you prefer one application method over another? Does it depend on the toner or is it just personal preference?

I’m interested to know what kind of picky user you are? No judgement 🥰 
Are you willing to try absolutely anything and apply for any event to test and review anything regardless of skin needs and ingredients? Or are you strict with your wants and needs and only apply to test and review products specific to your needs?

I’ll go first. Whilst I’m happy to try anything, most of the time I apply for events and products specific to my needs. Sometimes I like the look of a product and I apply even when it’s not specific to my skincare needs. And then there was the product with snail extract, I couldn’t bare the thought of anything snail related anywhere near my face 🫣. I’d appreciate your feedback and reasoning 💗

What kind of Picky user are you?

Has anyone else noticed they are not successful with giveaways since the update of the app and all the changes?
I like all the new features and updates but since then I’ve been unsuccessful with any giveaways. 
On top of all that, I’ve also noticed that although my profile picture is correct and showing on my profile, when I comment on anything there is a variety of pictures that show which are not mine. It shows the face of someone else! It puts me off commenting!

So, I woke up late two days ago and in an absolute panic I only had time to apply serum (bad I know). I didn’t have time to even think about what was in my hand I just knew I had to apply something! My question is, if you were running late and you had to prioritise or compromise, you can only use one product, what would it be?

There was nothing negative to note about this product

The ampoule is housed in a beautiful glass bottle which is neatly packaged in a box to ensure safe arrival of the product during transit (I love that). I love the design on the whopping 100ml bottle, it's beautiful, simplistic and elegant all at the same time. I'm also loving the angled dropper a lot too as well as the no waste bottle neck which doesn't allow any excess on the dropper when it is extracted (this is a maior positive element for me).
The dropper is easy to use and the bottle is nice to hold. And.. it looks beautiful in my skincare area.
The ampoule itself is a nice texture and easy to apply and I also found it does absorb quicker when Patti g into the skin. I expected a bit of tightness post application but there was none. It has a soft light scent which I found calming and refreshing, so much so it has became my favourite product to apply in my skincare routine.
It's lovely to apply, absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. What's more is that using along side the deep pore minimizing cleanser I can see a visible difference in my skin and pores. It's also more noticeable when I apply make up which I do almost every day.
I'm really impressed with the quality and effectiveness. I will definitelv repurchase this grand skincare product which is a holy grail in my skincare routine. I'd highly recommend it if you have large pores.

 Couldn’t find anything to dislike about this product

Before I'd opened the serum I was already taken by the attractive bottle the serum is in. I absolutely love all La Roche Posay packaging, the different colours help me to distinguish between my products. The distribution dropper is easy to insert and easy to use. The texture of the serum is beautiful, it is silky smooth that it distributed over my skin with such ease. I found that a little goes a long way. I didn't find there was any particular scent to the serum which is ideal for evening use. I was concerned that my skin might dry out but I didn't experience that. In fact, my skin maintained hydration well (I always apply moisturiser after the serum). I use this serum every other day,
alternating with Pure Niacinamide 10 Serum. Since using this serum, my skin appears brighter and healthier. The fine lines and wrinkles are improving as well as skin texture. My skin feels smoother and softer. The improvements so far are very impressive. Having mature skin, this is a serum I intend to maintain within my skincare routine.

The first thing to note is the beautiful packaging which upon opening has a positive message "you are so pretty". The serum is housed in a pretty peach glass bottle made of recycled glass. The bottle has a matte feel to it so it's really nice and easy to hold. The serum is distributed via a dropper which distributes well according to how much or how little you require. The bottom of the dropper has a slight angle to it so it can also be applied directly to your face without a mess.
The serum itself is fragrance free and it a beautiful consistency, not as thick as l'd expected but I like it a lot. It has a silky feel to it making it easy to apply and it absorbs really well making it a great product to fit in with my skincare routine prior to make up application.
l've been using this serum for over a week now and I can say it's my favourite vitamin C serum I've used to date. My skin looks healthier and it feels so much more hydrated.

I've been applying this SPF for a little over a week now. This SPF is one of my favourites! I love it's in an easy squeeze tube that I can control to avoid waste.
It's a great texture which is beautiful to the touch. The consistencv thin which makes it silky smooth to the touch making for easy application. It distributes easily and well leaving no cast over my skin making it a perfect SPF to incorporate into my skincare routine and applying make up. I also love that it has a light fresh scent to it too but not too much that it irritates, it's the ideal balance of product and light scent. It has the ability to also lock in moisture which is important to me in an SPF as well as protecting my skin.

I received this Deep Sea Pure Water Cream from Picky and purito_official in exchange for my honest review. This product has deep sea water and marine complex and Niacinamide. Firstly I like the fact that the cream is housed in a soft plastic squeeze tube. Whilst it is a cream, it has a water based gel like texture.  I didn’t notice any scent to the product. The water based consistency and gel like texture makes for easy application. A little goes a long way.  It applies with ease and absorbs very well in good time allowing me to apply make up in reasonable time should I wish to do so. I found that hydration was well maintained and I didn’t experience any negative effects from it. I didn’t feel any sticky or tacky feeling post application which is a winner for me. I have combination skin and it worked so well within my skincare routine. Due to the ingredients and my own use I’d also say this would be suitable for sensitive skin users too. This is currently my holy grail and I love it. I would highly recommend this product to any skin type, it’s a perfect all rounder.
