Hey so i ve been seeing so many ppl again criticizing and canceling Krave for how they handled the spf situation (and ofc your free to do that) but i just wanted to share an interesteing and important post of @heyskinjunkie on ig !

 we re so fast to judge with the little information we have and i think its important to acknowledge that these brands at least took individual efforts to solve this issue or the clarify the situations ! so many other companies and brands failed to meet their spf claims too but they didnt do anything about it , no individual testing, no clarification etc but somehow noone seems to cancel them or noone seems to even comment on that

cancelculture - Krave ..

K so i just went through the comments of the trending sunscreen post and i noticed that so many ppl still "nationalize" an international issue , namely sunscreens , their manufacturing etc !
Didnt we just learn that sunscreens all over the world didnt meet their spf claims (korea , australia , usa, europe , japan etc) ?
And also idk why ppl assume that japanese sunscreens are so reliable , many products from brands such as anessa, shiseido , biore, skin aqua didnt meet their spf claim as well ? 
Also regarding the Korean issue - its not smth we can generalize- most of the affected brands didnt even test their spf in the first place ( klairs , purito , Keep cool) and are manufactured by odm's , so instead of transfering your distrust to a whole industry you might/should consider just avoiding the brands that were responsible/ made mistakes or avoiding the brands (mostly indie brands) that manufacture at odm's

+ i can really recommend watching odile monods video ( she works in the korean besuty industry and gives detailed insight on korean regulations , manufacturing etc)

hey guys :) i wanted to ask what you think about the whole skin barrier debate atm ? 
I feel like this topic is being really pushed  and out of nowhere all brands thematize skin barrier repair/protection/dmg and  are coming out with ceramide lines etc ! 
Do you think its more of a reaction to the previous exfoliation trend  or more of a marketing tool to sell you more products? 
I mean ofc its really important to protect and maintain a healthy skin barrier but i feel like were at a point were people are like "i used aha yesterday - my skin barrier is borken " and do we really/actually need all these barrier product ( i mean im totally for it - i love ceramides in my skincare and i am definitely going to purchase the new celimac barrier line 👉🏻👈🏻 but i personally feel like this topic/issue is misused a lot to make you purchase more product - and it obviosuly works)

k this literally drives me insane so i had to do a post/question about it! 
i see so many comments/misconceptions that mineral filters/ physical sunscreen protect the skin by reflecting/scattering UV rays ! [well they do but only to a certain degree- actually they only reflect/scatter 3-10% depending on the studies] 
Also there are some "chemical filters that reflect/scatter uv rays too !

-> So : no, mineral filters do not sit on the top of the skin , they are mostly absorbed into the skin and protect against uv rays by turning them into heat (just as chemical filters )

Mineral UV Filters

it does leave a whitecast ( if u use too much- so a little goes a long way )and it would only recommend this for lighter skin( i correct myself - my skin became very light this winter and it actually has a light orange&#47;too dark finish ) , its also pretty drying and gets a little cakey after some time ( so not really fitted for dry skin i would say)

it does correct red spots or blemishes and has a semit matte &#47; light dewy finish , and overall evens out your skin tone

its a little pricey and hart to get but it has the hidden tag legitimacy&#47;authenticy tag so you can be sure its the real product ( got it on beautyboxkorea &#47; now also available at oliveyoing yayy)

my favorite retinal product! 

Product Information: 
* Night Treatment Cream 
* Ingredients: Retinal (0.05%), Glycerin, Squalane, Safflower seed oil, shea butter, Ceramide Np, Polyglutamic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid 
* 20g
* it is recommended to use only a small amount at the last step of your routine (i used it right after cleansing and switched to before moisturizer if i use one)

Retinal is a stronger form of the retinoids and a direct precursor of retinoic acid (-&gt; directly converted to active Vitamin-A by the skin (11 times faster than retinol) 
Its a great more gentle alternative to retinoic acid with fewer side effects! 

Impressions: 
* time of use (~4 months) &#47; started with 2 times a week and i am currently using it 5 times a week
* It has a really moisturizing formula ! I literally dont need a night cream when using it ! I didn&#39;t experience any dryness, purging or any other side effects of Retinoids 
* direct effect: my skin is very soft and smooth the next morning 
* long term effects: I started seeing results around 3 months after opening (note i started really slow , so you might see faster results when using more often) : Skin texture , skin smoothness, skin thickness (especially under the eyes), i dont have many breakouts so i cant really comment on that but so far i didnt notice any difference in that aspect
* it retails for 50USD ( i personally think thats a reasonable price, i still have half the bottle left with regular use, it served me really well and i didnt experience any side effects 

Recommendation&#47;Repurchase?:
I did already buy the stronger cream ( Vitalift- A Forte (0.1% retinal)-64 USD) because i just love this product ! i see effects, i didnt experience purging or other side effects of Retinoids and i love the moisturizing formula! 
I would definitely recommend it , but it might be more fitted for normal to dry skin! i also believe the price is reasonable considering that this cream is estimated to be used for 5-6months ( 10 dollars per month)
I am also very glad that its finally available at Oliveyoung , because it was pretty hard to get before :)

The only contra i could think off is that you dont really know if you applied enough !

First of all : 
🧊the packaging is sooo pretty !! 🧊
• It leaves a neutral to glowy finish with a very light brightening effect ! 
•It does feel pretty hydrating and moisturizing andi didnt notice any dryness during the day 
•Its very affordable and so convenient for reapplication !

i wouldnt really recommend this to very oily skin types

my favorite cream for winter , its pretty thick but it doesnt feel greasy at all and its sooo moisturizing , it also really smoothens the skin !!

it leaves a minimal whitecast ( but still better than other minimal spfs  e.x purito &#47; i would say its more brightening than a whitecast)

one of my favorite organic sunscreens, i find it very hydrating for a mineral spf, it doesnt pill at all , so very easy to reaply , the finish is semi matte &#47; little dewy and it really smoothens the skin
