THIS IS A PRETTY LONG DISCUSSION AND I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM OTHERS.....So in this discussion I'm going to tell you the background, what has happened, and why I feel this way, and I'd love to hear what other current and past IPSY users have to say. I'd also like this to be a WARNING ⚠️⚠️⚠️ for anyone who has even the SLIGHTEST desire to subscribe to IPSY, because there's a lot you should know about them before you do!
   FIRSTLY this is only my 2nd month with my IPSY subscription. It has been wayyy more of a headache, hassle, and COMPLETE UTTER HEARTACHE than I feel it's worth. I subscribed to IPSY after I buried my 4 month old son now 2 months ago. My husband was trying to cheer me up because I wasn't getting out of bed, was always alone, not eating, nor speaking to anyone. I was just wasting away. I still struggle with this daily but give me a break I just buried my only HUMAN CHILD not even 2 months ago. We completely drained our savings and still had to pay money outright for his funeral and cremation( which there wasn't much of him to cremate he was ONLY 4 MONTHS OLD!) My birthday was in October and I wanted to do a birthday glowup in memory of losing my son, because we aren't always PROMISED OUR Next BIRTHDAY. Money was tight (still is) and my hubbs came across IPSY on a Google ad or something and asked me to check it out, so I did. When I looked into it there were a few subscription options you could also pay Monthly, Quarterly, or Annually for whichever subscription you chose. I ended up choosing to pay Monthly due to just draining my life savings burying my child. 🖤🖤🖤 BEFORE I go into the ICON BOX details let me tell you why I'm so aggravated. The 1st month I subscribed to IPSY I paid with my husband's card and the payment IMMEDIATELY came out, but after it came out I got an email and it was on my IPSY account that I had the same charge PENDING 3 TIMES! I had to go through a 20+ minute conversation with their "Glambot" before they'd even open up a customer service ticket and that's blood boiling on its own because she's asks very vague questions and it takes forever to get to the customer service point. Well I finally got to that point told them they were trying to charge me 3 different times and when the lady responded to my email she wanted me to give her the FIRST 6 and LAST 4 digits of my husband's card!!! And I'm pretty sure she asked for the EXPIRATION DATE & THE CVV! Needless to say I didn't give her all of that INFO. and the extra charges were taken care off. They have you fill out a profile when you join IPSY to help pick your products each month. They have all kinds of options for your skin tone, what colors you like, perfume and fragrance preference, blush colors you like, wether or not you'd be open to bold colors or not, an ULTIMATELY what products you're looking to get more of and less of, even if you want more makeup or skincare, both, or a surprise me option. I filled all of it out very thoughtfully, even took the 20+ minutes to select all the brands they had listed that I'd be interested in trying and THERE WERE SOOO MANY & they were way overly repetitive but I did it! I checked EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. When I got the email about the products that would be in my Glam Bag & BOXYCHARM the 1st month I was pretty puzzled mainly because the glambag products that they picked the BB cream foundation was way to dark, the blush had nothing but oil come out of it. The lip pencil from huda beauty wasn't impressed at all & I love HUDA BEAUTY! Also in the glam bag they sent me a not very good concealer brush, and a small travel size Kensie fragrances which was the only thing I liked BESIDES the 1 product I chose which was an eyeshadow palette. OH DID I MENTION MY FIRST GLAM BAG WAS OPENED AND STOLEN FROM MY MAILBOX! The little mailer bag they don't close them all the way at the IPSY packing and shipping center, so people can easily open then and take your products like they did me!  The products in the Boxy Charm I received one was a face palette from OFRA COSMETICS called Bienvenidos a MIAMI. It contains 2 blushes one is purple(called vice) the other a carrot orange/rusty red color(called 3-OH-5), 2 highlighters one is a Pinkish/Champagne color(called Magic City) the other is a darker Champagne/Gold color(called Ocean Drive), and it came with 2 bronzers one is a light brown that kinda looks like Hot Chocolate Powder Mix or an Instant coffee color(called Cafécito) the other bronzer shade is an EXTREMELY DARK BROWN (called Dalé). None of these shades of Bronzer nor blush will fit my complexion, and I haven't even used or opened the palette to use yet and there's ALREADY fallout all over underneath the plastic tray protector. When I filled out my profile I stated I wanted more makeup than anything else and how about most of the stuff I got in my body charm was skincare products. Don't get me wrong I got a $90 BYROE SERUM for nothing and a Earth Harbor Vitamin C Elixir Oil that's pretty expensive but I asked for more makeup and didn't get what I asked for and/or what I was paying for. I did get an Iconic London eyeshadow palette that I added on for $12 which was cool but here again that's more $$$ I'm having to fork out to get anything remotely what I asked for. Now let's talk about the icon box and why I feel IPSY is just one big scam.

 So here's why I'm as angry as I am. When I paid for the 1st month I paid with my hubby's chime bank card but I thought it was his cash app card. Well they take the money out on the last day of every month. We had the money on his cash app card and they had tried his chime card. I went on and fixed it (They won't take prepaid cards like cash app as payment) and was freaking out because I had been talking about how excited I was for this icon box for weeks. It was the only thing I was looking forward to and my husband was happy to see me smile I mean we just buried our child! I got a hold of the customer service the first lady took my payment for the icon box but not my glam bag. She proceeded to tell me that the subscription I had wasn't an option and when I sent her screenshots of my account she sent me to another customer service agent. He took the payment for my glambag and I made sure 1000% I was still going to get that icon box and he assured me I was. 2 weeks go by and I still hadn't gotten the email about MY ICON BOX but my glam bag was being shipped and the products weren't anything impressive. If anything they were sad. Well I went through the painstaking thing with the glambot and opened YET ANOTHER customer service ticket and got an email from a woman named Cherry! She proceeded to tell me that even though I paid the money for the icon box that I wouldn't be getting it this month (November) because they didn't get my payment on time and they sold out. Which was the complete opposite of what I was told. She told me that when they sold out they tried my payment again and that I would be getting the one in February automatically. I've had this IPSY subscription for now 2 months and I've done nothing but talk to customer support half of them act like they have no idea what they're talking about. So all in all if you're thinking about being a part of IPSY be prepared for headaches and heartache. The only thing I was looking forward to since I buried my son was taken from me. The one thing I was smiling about is out of reach. What little joy I found is now gone. I paid for a box I didn't get and they were trying to keep my money for the one in February. They asked me to leave a review on their BBB website and I read a lot of other people's reviews and IPSY SEEMS TO BE MORE AND MORE LIKE A SCAM. THEY HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER. THE ONLY WAY TO TALK TO A "HUMAN" IS TO OPEN UP A SERVICE TICKET. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP ACCORDING TO THE REVIEWS I READ ON THEIR BBB WEBSITE. THEY WERE STILL CHARGING PEOPLE WHO CANCELLED THEIR MEMBERSHIP EVERY MONTH AND WERENT SENDING THEIR PRODUCTS THEY PAID FOR EVEN AFTER TRYING TO CANCEL MULTIPLE TIMES. I'm sorry this was so long. If you got to the end thank you for listening to my story. I'm literally heartbroken and what was left of my soul is gone. If you guys want photos of these crappy products let me know.

How IPSY has drained me out of my sanity and what was left of my SOUL! 🥺😶‍🌫️🤬🖤💔

So I've been on the hunt for a good affordable concealer, but all the affordable options I've found all look way to warm for me (I'm on the darker side of Fair skin more towards Light skintone with neutral undertones) and I'm looking for a spot concealer that matches my face/foundation shade as well as one to brighten my under eyes and T-ZONE. Ive searched and searched and I've concluded that all the affordable options arent quite right enough & the brands that have a larger shade range are all $28-$30+ USD!!! I'm sorry but to pay the same price as the higher end foundations for a concealer is insane to me and personally I can't afford these prices! I tried looking at sheglam (Shein's beauty brand) but all their 2 light neutral toned recommendations are wayyy to yellow toned for my skin 😓. I know that having fair to light skintones with a neutral undertone isnt a common thing but I feel like if I want a concealer that has actual neutral undertones Im gonna just have to fork out the $30+ USD but before I do that I'm coming to PICKY hoping you lovely & amazing people can work your magic for me and help me find an affordable concealer option?? I'm also looking for an affordable cream bronzer, cream blush, as well as powder bronzer and powder blush. I need affordable options. I know that Patrick Ta has cream & powder blush & bronzer duo sets but i can fork out the $52 USD each of those products. PICKY FRIENDS I NEED HELP!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

Why are all the affordable concealers never my shades!

Hello everyone! I'm starting this discussion to see if anyone has tried either of these Innisfree products. I'm being sent them to try and review and would love to know anyone's experience with them if you've ever used them. The products I'm being sent are new products and one is The New Innisfree Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Serum & The New Innisfree Green Tea Caffeine Bright Eye Serum. I would absolutely appreciate and love any info anyone could help give me. I wanna know what your thoughts are. How did the product(s) work for you? What were the results? How did these products compare to other products you've used? As well as anything else you want to add to the discussion. All friends are welcome here and appreciated greatly! Please keep rude commentary to yourself. I've recently had some ugly comments on my discussions lately and I'm not going to tolerate it. Has anyone tried these innisfree products?

So I tried the Innisfree caffeine bright eye serum and I'm pretty sure I'm having a bad allergy reaction to something in it. My eyes are almost COMPLETELY swollen shut!! What should I do? Should I contact the company about it? I've never had an allergic reaction to any skin care products in my life. I attached a photo any help is appreciated!!

So I bought this bottle of the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray off Sephora for the sale. I also bought a SUPER TINY bottle of the 2% BHA Salicylic Acid Liquid Exfoliant. The setting spray is a little bigger (1.1 Fl. oz.) than the 3 inch tall 1 fl oz of Paula's Choice I bought for $13. I can't remember how much the small bottle of Charlotte Tilbury setting spray was off the top of my head. I've heard a lot of good things about it but most of the videos I've seen are people that either get paid to promote it or they get sent free PR packages and stuff. Has anyone used either of these? How was your experience with them? Are they worth all the hype? I just want someone to give me a non-paid HONEST review of these products (not saying it's amazing because you got it for free either please) ONLY TRUE HONEST OPINIONS PLEASE AND THANK YOU!)

Kate Somerville's products tend to be on the more expensive side but I love them and if the procts I want are expensive I usually just buy one each week at a time starting with the one I need the most. The 3 products in this kit are $200 USD and I was lucky enough to not have to pay for them because I won them in a giveaway.

This is a milky soothing  repairing/recovery cleanser made by Kate Somerville. There are 3 products in the Delikate recovery set you can choose to buy them together or just use the one(s) you want separately. All of the Delikate products are fragrance free so perfect for those who may have sensitivity to fragrances. Kate Somerville is a skin health expert and all of her products I've used that she makes have always been a winner!

This shade didn't match me which is weird because I usually wear a beige color but this one's extremely dark.

I bought this in the color beige number 220. It's a medium coverage flawless satin foundation. The formula is vegan and cruelty free. It is also considered clean make up as well. A little bit goes a long way with this foundation and it will leave you with a satin finish.

Kate Somerville products tend to be very expensive. One product alone like the Delikate serum is $98 by itself. The recovery cream is no different.

This is a thick repairing/recovery/restoration cream. It is one of 3 products in the Kate Somervilles Delikate cleanse & recover kit. I won this whole kit in a giveaway and love it. This cream goes on after you've cleansed and used the serum. You can also just use this product on its own with other products you already have. A little of Kate Somerville's stuff goes a long way no matter what you use.the packaging is AN ABSOLUTE BEAUTIFUL SHADE OF LILAC PURPLE! All of the people from Kate Somerville are skin health experts so you know they're products may be a little pricey but are TOTALLY worth it!

This primer is only $10 you're going to get what you pay for. I've seen sooo many bad reviews and I feel like if you're going to splurge on ANYTHING it should be on a good base ESPECIALLY A GREAT FACE PRIMER! If you don't trust me it shows! The plastic cap that comes on these for some reason breaks and cracks. I've read other reviews on here saying their lids did the same thing and crack into pieces too. For a primer that's only $10 it does what it's supposed to if you're having trouble with your makeup sliding or not staying put you may have put to much on, I'd recommend putting less on until you find the right amount that fits you, or use it in unison with another primer of your choice only using this one for spots of redness.

This is an airless pump semi-transparent bottle, filled with (I'm pretty sure) a silicone based green tone adjusting face primer. This green tone adjusting face primer is supposed to correct redness. This primer is only $10 so if you're on a budget and need help with neutralizing redness then may e this primer is for you! A trick that I found might help the next person is to use this with another face primer that's a really good one. You only need a pea sized amount of this primer and I'd only apply it to the areas you're having redness issues. Would buy again if I was in a pinch definitely!

I wish they made bigger bottles of this I've only ever seen the 1 OZ bottles, and CeraVe products can be on the expensive side depending on which ones you get but they add up fast so know that before you make a big purchase.
