Neogen is a well established Korean brand, some of their Best-Sellers include the Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine (my favourite)/ Green Tea or Lemon; Real Ferment Micro Essence, and the Tiktok famous Pore Tight Peeling Mousse. But there are so many great products from this brand, it’s certainly worth a look at their website and reviews. 

Today we will compare the similarities and differences between the Day-Light Protection Sunscreen and the Day-Light Protection Airy Sunscreen.
What do they have in common?

Let’s start by their similarities. Both formulas offer a Broad Spectrum SPF of 50, they are light-weight, fast absorving, moisturizing and leave a nice dewy finish on the skin. The frangrance is very similar to lemongrass, it is not a suble fragrance so if you don’t like this scent I would advise to streer away from this sunscreen.
The packaging is extremely similar, there is only a small change to the colour scheme. Whilst the original has a silver tube and a white and copper label, the Airy Suncreen also has blue on the label.

Even though the price point is not exactly the same, the difference is not abysmal. The Day-light Protection Sunscreen is market at 30 USD and the Day-light Protection Airy Sunscreen is marked at 32 USD on the brand’s US website.
What are the differences?

Now that we have established the similarities, let’s go over the differences.

The biggest difference between these two sunscreens rely on the UV filter used in their formulas.

If the original is a Hybrid Sunscreen due to its physycal and chemical uv filters, the Airy Sunscreen is entirely chemical.  On one hand, the Day-light Protection Sunscreen could leave a slight white cast on darker skin tones, on the other hand, the Airy Sunscreen is 100% white cast free and always a safe bet. I have a light skin tone so I didn’t experience white cast from the original sunscreen. 

Whatever type of sunscreen you choose, the most important thing is to wear sunscreen everyday.

This is a lightweight refreshing essence from the Korean brand Beauty of Joseon.  Containing ginseng root water and niacinamide, it has light watery texture and an amber colour. The bottle  has a clear, simple and minimalist design.

Star ingredients: 80% Ginseng Root Water, Niacinamide
Promises:

A fresh, nourishing toner enriched with Hanbang (traditional Korean herbal medicine) ingredients for smoother and revitalized skin. It helps to regulate oil production and smooth texture. 

My thoughts on this product:

The packaging is very simple and pretty, it gives the spotlight entirely to this essence’s  beautiful rich amber colour.

Its texture is very lightweight, watery and it is absorbed into the skin very quickly. I find it really refreshing and hydrating, specially during the summer when our skin needs this the most, and revitalizing.  

Although it promises to control the oil production I have a balanced skin, so I wasn’t able to experience that benefit. It doesn’t mean it didn’t deliver on its promise but my skin simply didn’t need it.

Besides ginseng and niacinamide it has some really nice ingredients such as glycerin and panthenol that help moisturize and soothe the skin.Ginseng is a very valuable root and products with this ingredient usually come with a higher price tag.  However, this essence brings all the benefits at a more affordable price. Overall, I think this is a great essence for balanced to dry skin and has amazing benefits, at an affordable price.

As someone that has gone from combination to balanced, dehydrated and slightly dry skin type, I am putting together some sets of routine to help those who are completely new to skincare and need some tips. This Hyaluronic Acid ampoule has a lot of viscosity and in my.opinio if perfect for normal to dry skin, dehydrated skin will love it too! I notice deep and lasting hydration, my skin looks plump and glowing. The initial sticky texture reduces significantly once the serum is absorbed. It's not irritating and doesn’t contain fragrance. It's a straightforward formulation and does its job. I rate it 5 out of 5.

I rate this ampoule 4 out of 5 because I find this to deliever on its promisses however I don’t see it as a game changer. I can see this working very well for combination and oily skin.

An hydrating and calming ampoule for daily use that is only formulated with Centella Asiatica, recommended for all skin types, incluiding sensitive skin.

My thoughts on this product:

The packaging is glass, which I love. It has a premium feel and look to it. It comes with a dropper as most ampoules and serums do, efficient and easy to use. 

It’s a clear serum with a very subtle amber hue its texture is very watery. Feels very hydrating and soothing, it’s very easily absorbed and doesn’t leave any tacky feeling on the skin. It doesn’t contain fragrance.

This ampoule was very easy to pair my skincare routine as it only contains Centella Asiatica, it works very well with other product’s ingredients. It’s promise is something that is essencial for me: hydration and calming effect. I have dehydrated skin and I like to use retinol, so I like calming products. It doesn’t take long to realize the soothing power of Centella Asiatica and the hydration this ampoule provides. I like to use it on my morning routine as it is very lightweigh. I notice my skin has a beautiful and subtle glow from the hydration and no signs of irritation at sight.

This is the most wonderful cleanser and user experience I have ever found in a cleanser. The scent is so mild and so nice, the foam is luxourious and doesn&#39;t strip my skin at all. I find it to be so Hydrating and soothing.

I rate this 4 out 5 because I like this toner but for my personal preferences I would like to have a richer version of this for a supple, glowing and plumped skin. I would definetly buy it!

This toner is very simple, it’s hydrating but not too rich, in fact it’s very lightweight, it has a very watery texture. This means that a combination or oily skin type would benefit the most from this toner. Due to it’s calming effects people with sensitive and acne-prone skin might love this toner. 

Besides the key ingredient and PHA, it also has niacinamide, a well known and much loved ingredient in skincare, it softens fine lines and wrinkles, has a brightening effect on the skin by improving uneven skin tone, and strengthens the skin barrier. 

My skin is balanced and slightly dehydrated, whilst using this toner I can see the hydration effect , the PHA helps keeping my skin texture smooth and I haven’t had any clogged pores or blemishes.
