I was sick and tired of my vitamin C serum’s oxidizing after only a couple weeks of opening them. I spent all this money on an expensive vitamin C serum and only got to use about an eighth of it (even if I stored it in the fridge!!!!). 

I saw a post on FB about how someone made their own vitamin c serum and loved it. After a little research, I ended up buying 100% L-Ascorbic Acid powder, 3% resveratrol + 3% ferulic acid serum, Snail Mucin essence, and a topical vitamin e oil. 

I make a vitamin c serum every morning in the palm of my hand. It literally takes less than 60 seconds. In the beginning, I made sure the pH of my serum was between 2.6-3.5 with pH test strips. It took a few days with trial and error to concoct a vitamin C serum that works perfectly with my skin. Now I know exactly how much of each product I need to make a 20% Vitamim C serum with a stable pH of 2.6-3.5. The vitamin E oil and ferulic acid help stabilize the Ascorbic Acid and they work better with it. 

I’m never going back to buying a premade vitamin c serum ever again. I’ve been using my homemade vitamin C serum for the last 2.5 months and I can see a HUGE difference in my skin compared to the premade vitamin c serums I would buy (Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum, TO Vitamin C suspension 23%, Timeless Vitamin C+E Ferulic Serum, etc)

Also, it’s pretty cheap, especially for how long these will last. After 2.5 months I’ve barely made a dent in the Ascorbic Acid powder. it doesn’t oxidize much at all because it’s in powder form. It suspect it will last me over 1.5 years!!! 😲

Hey y’all. I’m a male ginger 👨🏻‍🦰 and I can get sun burned just by looking out a window or if there’s a full moon at night (moon burned lol) 😂😉😉.  

What’s your recommendations for a good ginger cologne (sunscreen)? I don’t have sensitive skin and my skin type is mostly dry, but can be a bit oily on my forehead/temple area at times…. So I guess that would be considered combination skin? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’d prefer something light weight with minimal white cast.

What’s a good sunscreen for gingers?

I just received my Cosrx Full Fit Propolis Light Ampolue giveaway. But I don’t know where to add it in my routine! 

Here’s my current routine:

AM:
-Cleanse with water 
-TO glycolic acid toner
-TO Hyaluronic Acid
-Azelex (20% Azelaic acid)
-TO caffeine serum (under eyes)
-The Lab Oligo Hyaluronic acid calming+ cream (lite moisturizer)
-SPF 50

PM:
-DHC deep cleansing oil
-Make P:Rem Safe Me relief moisture cleansing foam
-Hyaluronic acid toner or serum
-Verso Super Eye Serum (Retinol 8)
- Tretinoin 0.1%
- wait 30-60 minutes 
- Azelex (20% Azelaic Acid)
-either Vanicream moisturizing cream -OR- LRP Baume B5
- slug with Vaseline or use TO rose hip seed oil

2 nights a week I’ll use TO AHA 30% + BHA 2%

I shave my face 3 times a week in the morning. On those mornings I’ll do the same AM routine but I’ll use Cosrx Snail mucin instead of the Hyaluronic acid serum. And I’ll mix a couple drops of TO squalane oil with my moisturizer.

Do any of you use Tretinoin under your eyes? Or above your eyes (not on eyelids)?  I’ve been trying to find a strong OTC retinol eye cream but nothing is strong enough IMO lol. 

I started using 0.025% Tretinoin under and around my eyes about a week ago (I use 0.1% Tretinoin on the rest of my face). It doesn’t irritate the skin at all really. But I can tell it’s more effective than Any OTC retinol eye cream. I don’t really know if doing this is a BIG no no. I always hear people say not to put Tretinoin around the eyes because the skin is more sensitive.

Do you use Tretinoin under your eyes 👀?

I cant use all the product in the bottle by the time it expires.

I use this at night and mix it in my moisturizer. It helps relieve the redness from using tretinoin and it helps moisturize my skin.

Such a small amount of product. When I saw it online it looked bigger. But... it&#39;s totally worth the money

This is a must have if you use tretinoin. When I used this after tretinoin, my skin is smooth and hydrated the next morning. And... it doesnt sting when I put it on, unlike their moisturizing cream.

It isnt an instant cure for wrinkles. It takes a while. So stay with it.

It did dry my skin under my eyes... si I have to remember to use a moisturizer after it. 

If I apply too much it will pill or look like theres a white powder around my eyes

This got rid of my bags under my eyes better than any other product out there. And the price is AMAZING

Sometimes I wish it was just a LITTLE thicker

This is a really good moisturizer for during the day. Its lightweight and I dont have to apply it more than once. The squalane in it helps keep my skin moisturized all day long.
