If you suffer from body breakouts, just be careful to run the bar under lukewarm water so the first layer of product can come off and wash off building bacteria. Because it’s a bar form cleanser bacteria can grow on it and cause breakouts, but this is easily avoidable with the rinsing method as said before and throwing your wash cloth in the laundry to stay fresh. I would recommend the liquid body wash version of this formula if the bar is too inconvenient for you.

Even though this is a fragrance free body cleanser, I love the smell of it. It does not strip my dry body skin and is very affordable and easy to buy at local retailers, plus I love the eco-friendly packaging.

Can be a bit over exfoliating if not used in moderation. Would recommend as a night cleanser.

This was my first ever CeraVe cleanser. Perfect for people with dry skin as the salicylic acid gently chemically exfoliates dead skin cells and the ceramides help replenish a bad moisture barrier. Would recommend using it only at night to help get off sunscreens and micro build up from the day, as when I used it as a morning cleanser as well it was a bit too much exfoliation- but overall a very good product!

I wish it didn’t have to be reapplied every 2 hours in order to provide decent UVB protection, but that is almost universal in the sunscreen industry. It also leaves a bit of a shine on the face, but I don’t mind that too much.

I love this product in the morning after cleansing with the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser and moisturizing with the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion. I found that the Daily Lotion wasn’t giving me enough moisture on it’s own and I wanted SPF as my final skincare step in the morning, so I started layering this product on top of the Daily Lotion and it works amazingly. It’s also very affordable which is why I love this brand in general.

Not really a downside as this is a cleanser and not an exfoliator- but I feel that since this product is very gentle, it does not exfoliate my skin much, so I like to use the CeraVe SA Cleanser at night to help chemically rid of dead skin.

I use this in the morning as a nice way to wake up and freshen my skin before layering moisturizer and SPF. Would recommend this cleanser to people of all skin types as it’s so gentle, even if you are oily. This will leave your skin clean but not stripped at a good price.

When being used with a bit of a heavier cleanser such as the CeraVe SA Cleanser, it can feel as though it’s not enough for my skin. So I instead use this in my morning routine when I cleanse with the CeraVe hydrating cleanser, since it’s not so harsh. Works great under my CeraVe SPF 30.

Very lightweight and fast absorbing to the skin. Love how affordable and easy to find it is, and does not leave my skin feeling heavy or coated.
