Is clay mask an exfoliator? I'm planning to use a chemical exfoliator after a clay mask, but I think i'm overdoing/overexfoliating my skin if I do so. What do you guys think?

𝐌𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: 

To be honest, I am new to Galactomyces. It is my first time having a product that contains this ingredient. 

I really want to work this out on my skin as most of my friends super love this. Unfortunately, I experienced a bad reaction. 

I tried incorporating this at night, then I woke up the next day with a lot of tiny red bumps. I didn't suspect this right away, so I tried cutting some of my products and still continued using this.

After 3-4 days of basic routine + this essence, I am still breaking out, so I immediately stopped using this. I had pimples on my jaw, which is the only part of my face that I've never had any pimples before. 

My face continue to calm down after I stopped using this product. Maybe my skin is not agreeing with Galactomyces. 

Not to cause fear, but this SEVERELY damaged my skin barrier. It's been more than a month since I tested this out but i'm still dealing with hyperpigmentations and bumps due to this. 

𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬: Manyo Galac Niacin 2.0 Essence is an upgrade from its first version, and contains a whopping 93.69% Galactomyces concentration to even skin tone and helps in hyperpigmentation.

𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠: It comes on a frosted glass, which reminds me of a famous western brand. The dropper is a bit angled for easy dispensation.

𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: It is very watery! It feels like a toner that easily sinks into the skin, which is a plus one because it is easy to layer with other products. 

𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: It doesn't have any fragrance or natural scent. 

— What I like about this, it absorbs really fast, plus the added Niacinamide for an overall brightening. 




It doesn't give me the instant effect that I anticipated— it works slower but eventually, I saw results. Again, it is slow, but this is one of the soothing products that actually gave me results.

As I have said, it helps in inflammation. However, I find it much beneficial in terms of redness/sensitivity. So if I am breaking out, I use this only as a 'booster' for my other soothing products. 


📌Claims: This mugwort essence is formulated with 100% mugwort extract grown in South Korea. This refreshing formula adheres to and absorbs into the skin and recharges moisture from within. 

📌Packaging: It is contained on a luxurious glass bottle with 160ml amount of the product. 

📌Texture: It has a bit of viscosity (3/10), and once it sets on the skin, it leaves a slip to it, which I suppose is due to the moisture part. It has yellowish-brown tint to it.

📌 Fragrance: It has that natural earth-woody smell, like forest (?). I find its smell really calming that leveled up my experience. 


- Upon searching about the product, it is slightly fermented. 
- It uses Artemisia Princeps (Korean Mugwort/Culinary Grade)


📌 My Experience:

I only chose this essence because I have been seeing this a lot from different influencers. And I get the hype now that I tested this out. 

It has a good amount of hydration and a bit of moisturization. It has that 'slip' to it, leaving my face plump and silky afterward. Even though it's a bit runny, it takes a little time to absorb. 

For reference, I have acne-prone skin, especially cystic acne that is much harder to deal with. It helps whenever I am breaking out. Plus the fact that it delivers a bit of cooling effect, which is very comforting/soothing to feel. 

In terms of redness, I don't suffer from it that much, but I have some of it at the sides of my nose after the cleansing part, and if I were exposed to direct sunlight outside. It is very great in reducing them, so I always look forward to this immediately whenever I saw signs of redness. And it really helps. 

I also use this if I have insect bites on my body (pls don't cancel me for this, lol) and it works. 



It is fragrance free, but it has some smell on it (chemical, I guess?) But it doesn&#39;t bother me at all.

So I was struggling with skin dullness and texture, and I decided to try this one. They have both the &#39;full-size&#39; and &#39;mini&#39; version, which is a good thing for those who wanna try. This is very gentle on my skin, after weeks of using it (2-3 per week) it helped with my concern. My face smoothens, looked healthy, and radiant. 

Since this is my first time of using an exfoliant, I gave it a go because this is mild (but depending on the skin type, ig?).  The consistency is not too thick, but not too runny.  

It contains 4% Lactic Acid and 4% Glycolic Acid which is a good exfoliant for those who have same concern as me. It also has soothing ingredients that is good for those who have sensitive skin. 

I would definitely consider to repurchase this product after I consume this mini version.

It has fragrance, but not too strong. It kinda smells like old fashioned women scent idk

I just saw this on tiktok and I bought 1 bottle. For the effectiveness, I can say that it helped my dull skin to brighten, maybe because of niacinamide content (?). It makes my skin softer every morning when I apply it at night. It kinda helped me fade some of my acne marks (it takes too long).

For the feeling&#47;consistency, it just takes second to be fully absorbed by my skin, which is a good thing.

Lastly, ofcourse it shouldn&#39;t be compared to other high-end serum because those are better, but if you are looking for a serum that is affordable and does it job perfectly, then maybe you must try this one!

I gave it 3 stars, because I just found out that it is not good for oily skin. Sadly, I didn&#39;t see the &#39;brightening&#39; effect that they claim (which is why I bought it), this product only cleanse my skin. Even though I like the smell of this product, I don&#39;t recommend this for those who have sensitive skin because the fragrance of this can be a bit much. I hope they add more on their main ingredient because it highlights only the aloe vera and vit c.

It is very cheap, you can found it anywhere and it doesn&#39;t make my skin squicky after I use it (which is I like because I feel like squicky clean can be drying). I do like the smell of it, the same smell of the aloe vera moizturizer on the tub. Even a little amount of it is enough to cleanse your face! Since it contains aloe vera, it is hydrating.
