🫥 The product can feel a little sticky if you use too much at one time.

🫥 While the sleeping pack is used as the final step I liked it best when I used it in conjunction with my moisturizer. When I didn’t use it with a moisturizer I noticed my skin was oilier than usual in the morning.

𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧:  A couple of weeks ago I asked a question on Amazon (just because the product popped up in an ad on my screen) regarding how much melatonin is in the product. I just want to know about much much melatonin I’m getting with each use. Skin1004 finally replied that the product DOES NOT contain melatonin. That is an interesting response becaue I got the ingredients list directly from the Skin1004 website which lists melatonin after hydrolyzed Gardenia Flora extract, and before
Illicium Verum (Anise) fruit extract. 🫥🫥🫥 Of course, Amazon is not the place to have a dialogue, so I reached out to Skin1004 directly and have yet to receive a response. But, as I lay in bed wide awake at 4:46am knowing that I went to bed without using the product for the first time in a solid week/week and a half, I know that I’ve been absorbing enough melatonin from the product to get some beauty rest. I guess its going to be an interesting few days for me as I detox from this product. 😇 *whoops* So, for anyone who may be sensitive to melatonin (as I am), use with caution.

✨ I LOVE the way this sleeping pack feels on my skin! It does a really good job of re-plumping my fine lines and small wrinkles as I sleep.
 
✨ The ingredients list is jam packed with 3 types of hyaluronic acid, plus ceramide to fortify the skin’s barrier function. 

✨ It also contains melatonin which works very well as an antioxidant.

✨ The formula is very lightweight- it’s a gel.


I checked the ingredients list on doublecheckvegan.com and it flagged 14 potentially not vegan ingredients.  Methionine being labeled as “probably not vegan.” If all ingredients are or some are not vegan, manufacturer should acknowledge.

I received this product for free from Picky and Benton in exchange for my honest review. 

This eye lash serum helps promote strong, healthy, thick lashes; which makes me happy because my lashes are already pretty long, but they do lack thickness and fall out pretty easily. The serum is alcohol/essential-oil/fragrance free.

The consistency of the serum is very thin and watery, it’s also totally odorless. I’ve used the product a couple of times and didn’t notice any stinging/burning or discomfort on my skin or in my eyes, so I’m looking forward to continuing to use the serum. 

Benton Cosmetics says that the product could take up to 6 weeks to see full benefits, so I’ll keep you posted on my progress on The Youth Amplified Blog.

The packaging is simple and pretty, and I like that they use a glass bottle; however, I worry about dropping it by mistake and wasting all that amazing product.
I’m concerned that this product contains disodium EDTA. Accoding to INCI Decoder website it’s usually used in less than 0.1% concentration in cosmetics; which is not enough to be harmful. I noticed that a few of my favorite products from brands I already trust, also use this ingredient. However,- knowing that EDTA is a known carcinogen, I’m not sure that I want to use multiple products with that ingredient, as I wonder if using too many products with the ingredient could create enough buildup over time to be harmful 😬 There were studies in the past in which oral dosing of disodium edta caused some reproductive issues, but according to both the FDA and the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Panel it’s safe to use in cosmetics and does not actually penetrate the skin. It is used for chelating (preservative). Chelating ingredients are used to bind to mineral deposits like metals in water, so that other ingredients are able to penetrate deeper into the skin.

I intend to look for more peer-reviewed articles about this particular ingredient. At this point, I don’t know that I would purchase this product again. I like to be very cautious about what I put on my skin and put into my body, so - until I’ve read more about disodium edta and the risk, I will not continue to use it.

I received this product for free from Picky and Sollalla in exchange for my honest review. I love the thin milky texture of this product- it felt super hydrating. I’ve used the product for 3 days now and really like how my skin feels- soft, and supple, and plump. It has a fresh, bearly detectable scent; which I really like. Heavily scented products tend to aggravate and sting my eyes and i didn’t experience that with this product. The instructions say that you can press the toner into the skin or use a cotton swab to apply it-, I noticed that my skin looked and felt a little bit more hydrated when I pressed it into the skin than whenever I used a cotton swab. I would definitely buy this product again! Thanks so much Picky and Sollalla- for allowing me to test out this product!

I didn’t notice any impressive difference in my skin, maybe by the time I’ve finished the bottle I will. But based on what I’ve seen so far, I wouldn’t buy this product again. If you’re someone with sensitive dry skin, you may find that this product is great for you- so try it out!

🫥 While I do like the toner - my skin didn’t feel any more or less hydrated when I used it. 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, my husband has sensitive skin and he felt that his skin felt softer and more nourished throughout the day whenever he used it.

I received the Pimprove Toner for free from Picky and ZEROID in exchange for my honest review. 

The main ingredients in the toner are Capryloyl salicylic acid (LHA) for gently exfoliating,
Zinc PCA to control oil, Hyaluronic acid to retain hydration, and Ceramide to strengthen barrier function.

I’ve used the toner for about a week and this is my experience (with some add-ons from my hubby) with the product:

💖 The toner consistency is very light and watery.

💖 I like that it is fresh and unscented - it doesn’t make my eyes sting or itch or anything. 

💖 My husband likes the way it feels on his skin after shaving - it doesnt sting or burn.

💖 It is formulated for sensitive skin. I have a resilient combo/oily skin type, so this product was not made with my skin in mind.


⛔️ I didn’t love it when I used it in conjunction with a couple of my regular serums, so I’m going to use it more when I finish thise serums and move on to my next routine.
⛔️ It can leave an oily residue if you use too much at one time. Stick to 2-3 pumps.

According to their website this product from vegan brand, re:p, contains Shea butter, Jojoba oil, Argan oil and other nourishing ingredients helps replenish abundant hydration to rough and dry skin.

I’ve been enjoying this product for about a week.

💖 It’s a super silky lightweight formula, so I don’t feel hot or sticky after using it.
💖 I love the very light (almost unnoticeable) fresh scent.
💖 I love that it comes in a pump package so that it’s airtight. Hopefully, I won’t lose product when it gets close to the end- we’ll see.
💖 Use as the last step in your routine.
💖 The price point is fair - between $20 and $35 dollars (depending on sales and availability).

I’m looking forward to using this product more and seeing the benefits it provides!
