Skin Moisture Analyzers

After visiting Korea and seeing how seriously they take sun protection, I started taking care of my skin and exploring different sunscreens - but I had no idea how many different types there are!

What are some of your favorites? I love sprays & mists for convenience and touch ups, and I love the sunscreen essences for the face because they're nice and lightweight.

I'm thinking of purchasing a sun pact to throw in my bag too, so any recommendations you guys might have will be SO welcomed!

☀️ Sunscreen Style - what's your fave?

Firstly, I have to admit I’ve been an iUNIK fan for a while. I’ve used a few of their products in the past, and I’m using this cream and their oil serum in my current routine. Their products really are a great example of high quality yet affordable Korean skincare.

This is an anti-aging cream that works to:

⭐ Improve skin elasticity
⭐ Soothe skin
⭐ Moisturize
⭐ Reduce wrinkles

What more could you want?

I have dry skin, especially in the winter months, so I’m always drawn to products that aim to moisturize. And as expected, iUNIK’s Black Snail Restore Cream delivers on this promise.

The cream is lightweight, but its moisturizing effect is as impactful as thicker&#47;richer creams, which is one of the main reasons I love this product. It absorbs incredibly quickly, leaving absolutely no greasy residue, and my skin is noticeably soft to the touch after use.

I also love that this is an anti-aging product. Now that I’m in my 30s, I’ve noticed my skin needs a lot more care than it once did, and I’m excited to see what improvements there are with continued use of this cream.

I definitely plan to repurchase.

One thing I didn’t really like about this product was the fragrance. It isn’t overpowering, but I’m just not really keen on it. Also, be sure to use the product sparingly to prevent any tackiness. Applying too much can leave your face feeling a little sticky.

I like that this product is packaged in a three-shielding bottle to ensure that the product is not affected by light, which can reduce its efficacy. 

The main skin improvement I noticed while using the Deep Vita C Serum was that my skin looked healthier and brighter. It seemed to just pump a little life back into my skin. The serum absorbs well and while it’s normal to experience a little tingling or mild stinging when using it, this only lasts a few seconds.


This serum contains:

⭐ 13.5% ascorbic acid
⭐ Alpha bisabolol
⭐ Terminalia Ferdinandiana fruit Extract
⭐ Camu Camu seed extract
⭐ Opuntia Ficus-Indica Extract
⭐ Beta-carotene
⭐ Beta-glucan

I primarily use this product in the evening, but if you do use it in the morning, be sure to follow up with sunscreen as this product can make your skin more sensitive to sun exposure.

It was just an okay product. Nothing bad, nothing great. 

This is an old review, but I thought this avocado lip scrub from Skinfood was an okay scrub. It did help remove dry skin from my lips, but I don't feel like it was moisturizing or anything special. 

I don't think there was anything bad about this product, it just wasn't as hydrating as I would have liked.

✨ What It Does ✨

This is a pH-balancing cleansing water/toner designed to hydrate and brighten the skin. It helps refine skin texture by gently removing make-up residue as well as dead skin cells without causing irritation.


✨ Thoughts ✨

I found it interesting that Acwell refer to this product as both a cleansing water and a toner on their website. Regardless, using this left my skin feeling very clean and felt like an excellent prep step before all my other skincare products.

This toner has a very watery consistency and is a pale brown color. The bottle initially seems on the smaller size at 150ml, but due to the watery texture, you really don’t need to use much so it’ll last a while.

As it’s lightweight, I’ve found that it fits in perfectly with my summer routine. I like to use lighter, less occlusive products at this time of year so my skin can breathe. It does have a citrus/herbal scent that I found pleasant and not overpowering.

This product absorbs quickly and effortlessly without leaving behind any stickiness or residue. After use, myy skin felt lightly hydrated, but I’ve personally found that my dry skin benefits from either a second layer of this toner or the addition of a nice hydrating essence before my serum.

This is the first Audrey &amp; Young product that I&#39;ve tried, but I&#39;ve heard good things about this brand, particularly because they&#39;re a clean beauty brand. 

This cream contains Hi-Aqua, a vegan hyaluronic acid, and Jeju Tea Complex, made of Artemisia vulgaris extract, mulberry leaf extract, lotus leaf extract, and mistletoe extract. 

Audrey &amp; Young&#39;s Hi Vegan Earth Water Cream is a gel-type cream that is particularly lightweight and absorbs well. It smooths easily over the skin and leaves it feeling well hydrated. It&#39;s a good moisturizer for either day or night, although I prefer using it as part of my morning routine. 

I need to use this product more to see any longer-term benefits, but so far I&#39;m really enjoying using this cream. And at $18, I think it&#39;s reasonably priced too. I&#39;m looking forward to trying more Audrey &amp; Young products soon!
