Hi everyone. I'm curious to know your skin care routines, and what order you do them in.  Shown here is the order most commonly used for optimal effectiveness. I've found in my research that this order seems to be across the board. Do you agree?

I was very curious about the difference between these collagens other than sourcing, so I went in search of & found answers. 

Marine Collagen:  Derived from fish (that's right all you vegans out there, it's made from the fish itself), and contains Type 1 collagen.  Type 1 collagen has benefits such as  wrinkle reduction, skin rejuvenation, and skin aging reversal. Due to its high biocompatibility with the human body, collagen type I is the most used in cosmetic & skincare production.  Now that we know what Marine Collagen contains and does, let's talk about sourcing.  Many come from Asia, where regulations are less severe, and tend to contain toxins because of that. On the other hand, wild caught fish is harsh when it comes to overfishing, which often leads to disruptions in the ecosystem.  It's gotten from the skin & scales of, most often, wild caught cod because they're not endangered.  However, it is notable that there are growing concerns due to microplastics being found in wild caught fish, also, if you have a fish allergy, you'll want to stay away from this source.

Bovine Collagen:  Bovine collagen contains both Type 1 & 3 collagens.  Type 3 is beneficial for skin, ligaments, blood vessels, and joints. It also promotes skin health and elasticity. This makes type 1 & 3 most beneficial to your skin health. (note that Type 2, in case you were wondering, primarily benefits the joints). Sourcing Bovine Collagen is extracted from the skin, muscles, and bones of bovine species like water buffalo, bison, yak and cows.

What is your favorite hot weather moisturizer? Right now I'm using Make P:rem Safe Me Watery Gel Cream that I keep refrigerated to help me through this heat and to stay moisturized. Thanks to some great advice received here on Picky, cool gels have become my savior!

Do you ever use a serum under a sheet mask? I did this with Hue Calm's Pine sheet mask and their serum and wow! Such crazy great results! But I wonder if it would be good if I tried a favorite ha serum instead? 

Have you ever done this? What do you think of doing it? I did it because i needed to replace a lot of moisture, and because of the intense heat wave, my skin has been sensitive even to the touch, and I know my skin agree's with these products.

Not transfer proof, but works great, so its ok!

This is my first @tocobo_us product, and I must say, it lives up to its reputation! I am a big fan of sunsticks, but admittedly, I found one I liked and have been using it ever since, so I've not tried more than a few of the newer ones. That's changing, and I couldn't be happier.

The Cotton Soft Sun Stick by #tocobo is a lightweight, incredibly soft, sunstick.  The first thing I saw was how pretty it is with it's powdery blue color.  Then there's the scent.  Now, typically, I avoid anything with a scent, unless it's done right.  Tocobo did it right.  I'm not quite sure what gives it the scent, or how to describe it, other than to say it's softly feminine.  Flowery almost, but not overpowering. It glides smoothly and effortlessly, and isn't tacky at all. Used as a last step in your routine, this baby provides a beautiful transparent matte finish.  And it's the perfect pocket size!
