It does contain essential oils and so anyone who is sensitive to fragrance may want to patch test first! 

This is advertised as a ‘Total Advanced Anti-aging cream’. It promises to firm, plump, lift, tighten, hydrate, generate collagen and reduce wrinkles! It sounds like a miracle in a tube! 

I only use this cream on an evening as it is quite thick and, I think due to my oily skin, it sits quite heavy on my face and takes a little while to sink in.  Although I do like to apply a thick layer of it as the last step in my skincare routine.  Also, I don’t mind the heavy feeling, as I’m fine with looking like a glazed donut for hanging around the house before going to bed!

It is calming, soothing and repairs the skin so it’s great to use when you have a damaged skin barrier!  It feels like a nice comfort blanket for the skin and it makes my skin feel super soft in the morning! 

I love using this cream! I have been using almost every night for a few weeks! 

I experienced nothing bad with this product, however I’m not sure about using it as an exfoliation step, especially as I had to massage it into the face for quite a while before I felt any ‘grains’.  

I think I will stick to using my usual BHA toning step for exfoliation and only use this as a hydrating essence step in my skincare routines. 

This is Mixoon’s award winning and best selling product!  It is a multi-tasking essence that doubles up as a gentle exfoliator to bring dull skin back to life!  It is vegan, cruelty free and fragrance free.

Gently pat into the skin.

2: As an exfoliator : 

Roll it in circular movements until you feel grain like particles under your finger tips and then apply more bean essence and continue massaging.  Wash / wipe off.

💭 My thoughts:

This essence has the most weirdest texture I have ever tried, it’s viscous, quite runny and has some stretch to it!  It feels sticky under the finger tips but glides over the skin effortlessly and sinks into the skin quickly, leaving behind a soft matte finish with no sticky residue.  

On first application, on my hand, I was able to get quite a few ‘grainy’ bits under my finger tips, as I was moving it in circular motions.  However, when I used it on my face, I was massaging it in for about 5 minutes and did not get the same grainy feeling.  I only had a couple of grains under my finger tips, so I added another couple of pumps of essence onto my face but it just sank into my skin.  This essence feels nice and hydrating and leaves my skin feeling soft.

I can’t think of anything that is bad about this product. 

I absolutely love this sleeping mask! It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and nourished.  The texture of the product is a little balm like, soft and buttery. A little goes a long way and so you don’t need to use a lot of the product. It sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling like there is a layer of product sat on top of my skin. I use this as the last step in my evening skincare routine.  As well as the propolis extract, it contains some lovely skin loving ingredients like glycerin, centella, niacinamide and aloe, all of which helps to sooth and repair the skin barrier making this a great product to use when your skin is feeling like it needs a little tlc. I think it is great to use on top of retinol products due to its nourishing properties. I would definitely recommend this product and it has quickly become one of my favourite skincare products to use.

I haven’t noticed anything bad about this product.

💭 My thoughts:

Firstly, the glass packaging feels very deluxe and weighty.  The bottle is heavy, with thick walled glass, feeling very premium. 

I usually use this essence straight after cleansing and before my serums. It has a lightweight, milky texture and it sinks into the skin beautifully.  I apply 3 to 5 drops directly into the palm of my hand and then apply it to my face.  Depending on how my skin feels, I sometimes add a couple of layers if my combination skin is feeling a little dry.  It leaves my skin feeling calm, moisturised and nourished. It makes my skin glow without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. 

I can also use this as my toner, serum and moisturiser in one if I am in a rush, as it is very hydrating. I cleanse, add a layer of this essence and then apply my SPF.  

I would recommend this essence to everyone, as it is a lovely hydrating, soothing, repairing essence which is great for all skin types. 

The only downside is the price! At £41 for 30ml, I think it’s a little on the expensive side but I would definitely repurchase this serum when it is on offer! 

I been using this serum for a couple of weeks now and I am really enjoying using it!

💭 My thoughts:

I have used this both morning and evening, however I mostly use it on a morning to help boost the effectiveness of my SPF. 

I love the packaging! Glow Recipe really understand how to make beautiful packaging….even though it is quite bulky and not really travel friendly!

I use 2 pumps of this serum and apply it to my face.  Although it is fragrance free, it has a pleasant, subtle sweet smell, which I love and believe the smell comes from the fruit extracts.

It has a slightly thick texture and it smooths over the skin really nicely! It takes a few seconds to absorb but once fully absorbed it doesn’t leave any residue on the skin. 

The formula is nice and lightweight and I have found that it works well with my other skincare products. 

I have been really enjoying using this! I love the texture, the smell, the ingredients and how it makes my skin feel.  I have been truly impressed with this serum 🩷
