No drawbacks, though I haven’t yet tested it in the sun/under maleup.

- Contains zinc oxide as well as the centella asiatica extract SKIN1004 puts in everything, this product has a lightweight lotion texture.  It spreads easily and sinks into skin fairly quickly.  My (oily/dehydrated) skin does look a bit shiny/dewy after but not nearly as bad as with the vast majority of sunscreens.  
- Given that it’s winter and perpetually overcast where I live I can’t vouch for it’s UV-blocking properties but thus far I do like it.  There’s no white cast and no irritation/stinging with this sunscreen, and it’s quite hydrating/moisturizing without being greasy.
- At $17 for 50 ml it’s on the higher end of what I’d pay for a sunscreen, but still quite reasonable.

- It has not improved wrinkles/skin texture so far for me, but I wouldn’t expect major changes in a month.

- Contains bakuchiol and retinal as well as standard hydrating ingredients like glycerin and hyaluronic acid.  This is a light, slightly oily cream that is the same pale green color as the bottle—it’s cute!  The pump is easy to depress but still allows control over how much comes out.  Great packaging all in all.  

- It has no discernible scent.  It sinks in fairly quickly, leaving a slightly sticky and shiny film on skin (the bottle specifically recommends night use only though I’ve managed to put my primer over it during the day).  

- The website claims that it “sticks to your face while sleeping”—I’m a side sleeper and while I have noticed my face feeling sticky when I first go to bed, it’s gone when I wake up.  I have woken up with dry skin once or twice while using this but that’s due to adapalene (I alternate nights with adapalene and this).  All in all, I think it does what it says, and I like it.  I’ll definitely finish it, and if I don’t repurchase it, that’s only because there are so many moisturizers I want to try.

- No real drawbacks to this product, just don’t expect immediate results.

- Contains 100% centella asiactica extract to sooth and heal skin as well as replenish hydration level
- This has a water like texture but feels almost slightly oily when rubbed onto skin.  It sinks in immediately and leaves no visible shine on skin.  Ampoule has no discernible scent.
- My skin is easily irritated and often red.  Putting on this product doesn’t give any immediate relief, but after a few hours I’ll notice my skin looks calmer and more even.  I’ll have to see whether long-term use makes a major difference.
- $9.50 for 30 ml or $23 for 100 ml on SKIN1004’s site—that’s a price I’d repurchase.

- A nice, hydrating serum whose texture reminds me of the Ample:N Ceramide Shot.  Unfortunately for Acwell, the Ceramide Shot is better at skin soothing/repairing and is cheaper ($17/1 oz or $30/3.38 oz on amazon).  While I like it enough to give it four stars, I won’t be repurchasing.

- Contains numerous humectants and skin soothing ingredients including glycerin, HA,  licorice root, niacinamide, adenosine and oat kernal extract.  

- This serum claims to refine and brighten dull skin, even out pigmentation, draw in hydration to minimize fine lines and give a healthy glow.  It has no scent, a faint yellow/brown color that doesn’t appear on skin, and the texture of a watery gel.  It soaks into skin quickly and leaves a slightly tacky feel (less than the toner).  

- I use this serum after double cleansing with the Acwell Licorice Toner (see my review) in order to get rid of the sticky, slightly filmy feeling the toner leaves behind.  This has a nicer finish and feels very hydrating to me.  That said, I have not noticed any particular skin brightening effects from it.

- Costs $25/1 oz on sokoglam.  I received this product for free from Picky and Acwell in exchange for my honest review.

- That said, I don’t consider this to be the fault of the product.  It’s very strong, but that’s not a bad thing.  I would NOT recommend this to people as their first Vitamin C product (go with the dear, Klairs at 5% ascorbic acid).  I would also recommend that if you have more sensitive skin you take care in applying it, especially when combined with other actives.  The little burns are healed now, and I’ll likely start using this product again, but not under Differin.  

- This product costs $36/1 oz on Wishtrend, pretty reasonable for a Vitamin C serum.  I received this product for free from Picky and ELMT in exchange for my honest review.

- Contains a whopping 20% pure Ascorbic Acid (the most powerful and well-researched type of Vitamin C) in a waterless solution of propanediol.  For all of ascorbic acid’s virtues (and there are many) it has two notable downsides when placed in a water-based serum: one, it has to be formulated at a low enough ph that it is fairly to very irritating to skin and two, it oxidizes rapidly.  This unique formula is an attempt to circumvent those downsides.

- This product is a thick, white gel with a thixotropic effect—when first squeezed out it is very thick and sticky and resists being moved.  But within 10-15 seconds of rubbing it shifts into a light oil, similar in texture to the dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Serum.  It takes some time to sink fully into skin and remains shiny until it does.  

- Originally, i considered this oily tendency to be an advantage—I use the dear, Klairs serum as a buffer between my skin and the Differin I apply 3x per week at night.  I thought I could use the ELMT serum similarly, and I succeeded in doing so a few times.  But that (plus using a salicylic acid cleanser once) pushed my skin over the edge.  I woke up the morning with minor chemical burns along the skin under my eyes (the kind of burns that look like oblong red-brown freckles, nothing too serious).  Previously, the only thing that ever caused those burns was Differin, which is why I’m always careful to leave a wide space around my eyes when I apply it.  While I’m sure the SA cleanser in the morning and the Differin at night didn’t help, it was this product I applied where I got the burns.
