Would you lovely people have any suggestions of a gentle exfoliant that I can use maybe once or twice weekly while using Tretinoin for acne? 

I’ve been using prescription strength Tretinoin here in New Zealand for just over three months, I find it’s working well at bringing my acne more to the surface, as before it was so deep and painful, but I feel like I need to take it a step further with a gentle exfoliant to get rid of that dead skin in the surface. I also use azelaic acid every second morning.

It took me about a month to work up to daily use and my skin has adjusted really well. Whatever I add in I will add in slowly and obviously drop the tret on those days/nights.

I was using the drunk elephant TLC glycolic night serum before, but I feel like that might be a bit harsh? Opinions welcome 😇🙏

Gentle exfoliant while using Tretinoin?

I’m wanting to see what oil cleansers you lovely people recommend for sensitive/ acne prone skin?

I’ll be using this as a first cleanse to take off makeup before using my cetaphil cleanser.  
I wear Estée Lauder double wear foundation during the day, so it needs to be an oil that will really break through my makeup! 

I thought the tailor oil I had been using for years was great, but I feel like it leaves a residue and it smells quite strong of essential oils. 
I recently got a sample of the shiseido perfect cleansing oil and it did a wayyy better job of cleansing than my last oil cleanser (I realised that I don’t actually know why I was so attached to the tailor one?) I really like the shiseido oil, but it also has fragrance added in it which is making me and my sensitive skin anxious, Even though it doesn’t smell strong. 

I live in New Zealand where a lot of brands aren’t available here or are so expensive, so preferably something fairly accessible * SORRY I know I’m asking for A LOT * 😂
Any recommendations would be so appreciated🥰

Help me pick an oil cleanser please 🙏

I am using isotretinoin at the moment, so this is great for my dry skin, but not sure how people with oily / combo skin would find this. It may be too heavy. 

- Really moisturising. 
- Does NOT leave a white cast.
- Does NOT sting eyes.
- No fragrance (personal preference) 
- Makeup has no problem layering on top.



I was disappointed to see that this product contains fragrance, but it is not a strong fragrance and does not seem to irritate my skin. 

- Did not sting my eyes.
- Removed heavy makeup quite well, skin felt really clean afterward.
- Did not smell strong.
- Did not leave an oily residue afterwards.
