I finally broke down and bought a skincare fridge thanks to all the Black Friday sales! I know I want to keep my Jade roller and eye cream in it, but I don't know what else would be good to keep chilled. What all do you keep or would you keep in a skincare fridge? Do you prefer the chill or warm function if given the option?

What is everyone's favorite vitamin c serum? I recently tried Sunday Riley's CEO serum and loved it but it's a bit pricier than the olehenriksen truth serum I had been using before.

Favorite vitamin C serum

It stings when applied and around a week into using this I noticed my skin became slightly more sensitized and red after applying my morning and evening skincare.

This vitamin C serum is an amazingly potent and concentrated serum that brightens skin and minimizes dark spots. It contains 23% ascorbic acid, a form of vitamin c that penetrates deeply. It also contains tocotrionol, a form of vitamin E that promotes collagen synthesis, as well as allantoin and sodium hyaluronate to moisturize and soothe skin. I have been loving this vitamin C since it has done a good job of brightening my skin without being too irritating. It can make my face sting slightly when I first apply it, but that sensation fades quickly. It also has a faint vitamin C smell but I found this to be much less potent than most of my other vitamin C serums and plus this one is fragrance free. It has a thin watery texture and a yellow tinge to it.

The thicker consistency means that you don't always get the dropper full on the first try, it seems to work better to squeeze the dropper outside the container, insert, and release to fill the dropper all the way.

This low molecular weight hyaluronic acid is designed to be highly concentrated and quick absorbing. It contains 3% hyaluronic acid that is a low moleuclar weight so that it can more deeply penetrate skin. It also contains peptides and ceramide to help strengthen the skin barrier. It has a more gel like serum texture to it and is clear and fragrance free. I found this serum to do a good job with helping my skin retain moisture without irritation and it also absorbed quite well.

Hydration is mild so if you have drier skin this may not be moisturizing enough for you.

This calming serum from Jumiso is a gentle and calming serum to help soothe irritated skin. It has a beautiful pale green color and comes in a bright green container that practically glows in the sun. It contains a variety of beneficial ingredients to soothe and hydrate like centella, aloe, and hyaluronic acid. I liked that the combination of aloe and centella felt both hydrating and soothing while still feeling lightweight and easily absorbed. I was also impressed that this helped calm my skin which had become sensitized from too much exfoliation use this month. I love that there is no fragrance and the product is very neutral and non-irritating. I think that this would work best for oily and combo skin types since it is lightweight but doesn't add as much moisture as heavier serums for dry skin types. Overall I thought this was a good product for helping combat skin irritation and mild to moderate dryness.

Somewhat of an egg smell from the albumin but it is mild. The tightening effect as it dries can also get uncomfortable.

This mask pack from Skin1004 is a fun and effective way to smooth and soften skin. The mask reminds me of these egg white face masks I used to do as a teen, and based on the ingredients it's actually very similar! The main ingredient is albumin, a protein that helps add hydration and creates a tightening effect as it dries on the skin. This face mask has many of the benefits of the egg white face mask but in an easier, less messy, and bacteria free form. It comes with 8 dry packets in mini plastic bowls, 8 activator satchets, and a mixing brush. I found that a full pouch was way more than I needed and was able to use only half a pouch at a time to get more than enough product to cover my face (make sure to mix in a separate bowl though!). The mix has some added fragrance which helps cover the egg-y smell of the albumin. Once it is fully mixed the mask is easy to apply and dried quickly. It felt a little uncomfortable at times due to the tightening feeling, but it was a short lived sensation. Once dry, I rinsed and revealed super soft and supple skin! I loved how firm my skin felt and the mask was very easy to rinse off. Overall I love this mask because of its skin helping impact and the nostalgia I get remembering all the messy egg white masks I used to make.

I did not notice much change to the appearance of my pore size after using for 1-2 weeks.

I am a huge fan of Skin1004 skincare products ever since their original ampoule and have been very excited to try the poremizing line. This line is infused with Himalayan pink salt to help minimize the appearance of pores through exfoliation and oil control. Like their other products it has a solid mix of centella and other plant extracts plus no added fragrance.

This ampoule is packed with soothing and hydrating ingredients to improve skin texture and appearance. In addition to being 50% centella extract there is also hyaluronic acid, peptides, and panthenol added. This mix does a good job of hydrating and strengthening. I found this ampoule to be slightly less moisturizing than other centella serums but it felt more lightweight and absorbed a little quicker. I think this would work best for oilier skin types or when paired with another serum since it absorbed so quick. Overall I liked this ampoule because it hydrated without feeling like I had any product on my skin and I will test it out again in the summer when my skin is more oily.
