Hello fellow skin care enthusiasts. Against my better judgement, I used The Ordinary Peeling solution twice this week and - surprise, skin on my forehead and chin is red, raw and bumpy with tiny whiteheads. I switched back to my basic routine (no activities for a while) and tommorow I will get some Holika Holika aloe vers gel to try to calm my skin. The reason why I chose aloe vera is that it helped me with sensitive skin on my body in the past and I notice that my now over exfoliated skin looks much better after I put my Cosrx Aloe Moisturizing SPF. So my question is where in my routine should I put aloe vera gel? It currently consists of these steps: gentle wash-missha first essence rx-holika holika good cera toner-cosrx snail mucin 96 power essence - cosrx snail mucin 92 all in one cream - a'pieu madecassoside cream (+ aforementioned spf in the AM). Help with healing over exfoliated skin using aloe vera

Unfortunatelly, it also dried skin around acne, which made them look worse and I think it did not help with healing and resulting hyperpigmentation, at least for me.

The only bas thing is that face is a bit sticky after application, which is not uncommon for vit C serums, but it absorbs nice and product absorb good after it. For this reason I will only use it at night.

After just two uses I can see that this product is working on my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is my main concern! It comes in a glasa bottle with a pump, which is both practical fir dosing and hygienic. It has a light lemony scent which fades after application. Very pleased with this purchase, will definitely order again. I will update this review after a month to share my results.

I used it for the full six months waiting for results, and did not experience anything significant. It did sting, itch, burn and cause redness and dryness after applying, but did not help get rid of my acne and pimples faster, nor did it help with my hyperpigmentation. I even tested it on two pimples that appeared at the same time (both on my cheek), no difference on the healing time and PIH fading between the one I applied this cream to compared to one that wasn't treted with it. Althought it did not make my acne and pimples worse, it did dry out my skin and made me feel itchy after applying it, so overall it did make my skin worse. I do not plan to repurchase it, especially since it is hard to find and a bit pricey, but I do not plan to give up on azelaic acid, so I bought Revox 10% Azelaic acid cream to try out next.

It has 15% azelaic acid, niacinamide and centella extract, so on paper it seems like a great product for fighting acne and hyperpigmentation. The texture is creamy gel which absorbs very quickly after applying and leaves a matte finish. As far as my acne and pimples go, it did not seem to cause any new ones.

I could not think of anything bad about it, especially with that price tag.

This serum is for me an amazing alternative to much more expensive Dr. Jart Cicapair serum. It comes in a lux glasa bottle with curved glass pipette so you can get every bit of the product out. The texture is milky gel and the scent is very lightly herbal, you can't detect it after application. It contains a lot of hydrating ingredients and more centella than Dr. Jart serum, and also has 5 ppm (0.0005%) of madecassoside, which is fine since this ingredient works in small concentration. It is not sticky after it dries and products absorb well after it. It calms my sensitive acne prone skin really well.

First off the price - totally not worth it. Second - the smell is quite strong, I personally did not mind it the most days, but it did cause a bit of a nausea when I had a migrane. It did leave a bit of a shiny finnish on my face and by the end of the day my forehead would be oily and dehydrated. Would not repurchase.

I fell for the beautiful package. The cream itself is pretty basic in terms of moisturizing, nothing good really stands out when compared to other (cheaper) alternatives, it is fine. The texture feels quite nice on the skin.
